  • Kick back, relax and enjoy the time lapse of a solid weeks worth of work installing a winch, work bench, shelving, solar panel and controller, stereo and lots of e-track into the new enclosed 24 ft. v-nose trailer. Huge thanks to my Dad as it would have taken me a year and turned out horrible had he not been involved.

    I love the 2 seconds of the wife coming in, nodding and leaving. Only took 2 seconds to read her mind. "Wow, you spent weeks doing that? Good for you hunny."

      I'm sure the husband feels the same when she goes clothes shopping. As a woman, I'd prefer the building over the shopping, which is the bane of my existence.

    Can you explain more about the choice of eTrack above and below the bench top?

    • @Officer_Dan
      @Officer_Dan  Год назад

      It was so I could run a ratchet strap across bottom mid and top of bench to keep stuff secure!

    Bad ass. I'm so going outside right now to start building mine. Do you have a website with more detailed instructions or plans? I do landscaping and just got an enclosed trailer.

      Sadly I don't, my pops and I just kind of freestyled it. Started with the bracing and leveled it all out and built the rest around that!

    Great build. I have a question,. when you guys attach the wood to the trailer, do you go through the aluminum or are you attaching the wood to other structural beams? i.e. at 0:32 you attached that triangular shape wood to the trailer, so I'm wondering is the screws stick out on the outside of the trailer. What kind of screws do you use and do you have to grind them off on the outside of the trailer? i hope my questions make sense.

      Sorry about the super late response, the trailer has a metal frame of 1.5x1.5 tubing that runs every 12 inches or so, so we used self tappers to go through. The inside of the trailer also has 1/4 inch plywood all around, so we also ran screws into that as well, we just made sure they were too long and punctured the outer skin of the trailer.

    Can you tell me the size of the lumber that you used for this?

    • @Officer_Dan
      @Officer_Dan  5 лет назад +1

      4 8 foot sticks of 2x4 for the supports, and main cross bars cut down to the width of the trailer, 1x2 for the smaller shelving, 2 4x8 sheet of plywood for the shelves, front and table tops themselves, 1 4x8 sheet of Masonite for the table tops as well.

    Why the e-track in the cabinets?

    • @Officer_Dan
      @Officer_Dan  7 лет назад +1

      Power Mode TV so I can strap stuff to the wall, as well as across the bottom to keep it from moving :)

      I love that idea. Was going to put it along the side of my trailer, but in the cabinets is a great idea too.

    Nice build out, but I was looking for a more instructional video rather than a time lapse. Thanks anyway...

      I thought about it, but every trailer is different. I wanted to give more of an inspirational / idea driven video with this one. Minus the solar setup it wssmt actually that hard to do!
