I love how the whole family gets to participate. Maverick was adorable when he shared with us how he felt about getting a little more help there.
I love it when I see the whole family working on a project together.
Doug everything you put together comes out so good, and using what you have. And as always still praying for you and your family for safety and progress. Take care

Who ever thought that you could make them shelves into a work bench, there is no end to your knowledge and skills Doug, looks awesome.I see you have your support team helping, Maverick is just adorable.
I don’t know why I love your family so much, but I sure do!! I admire your desire to be “set apart”. I strive for that but keep finding myself trying to fit in…🤦🏼♀️ Great workbench, Doug!
I like that I could put that together myself because of your instructions. Detailed but not complicated as well as short and easy to follow.
Maverick is such a cutie, and growing. You and Ashley are doing a wonderful job with them.
Everything you do Doug, is done with such pristine labor
Has anyone else been missing Ashleys, "See Ya" or "Bye", at the end of the video, or is it just me??
We love you and your family, girly, so of course, we're going to notice the little things y'all do or don't do. LOL! Again, thanks for sharing y'alls thoughts and journey with us!! Looking forward to seeing your next one!! Much Love and Hugs to you and your family!!
Workbench is perfect👌. It's amazing how you can take a simple shelving system and make it into a Doug Design👏. You never cease to amaze me. Great seeing the kids as well😊. As always...keep safe and God bless your beautiful family🤲🥰💓
Fiji, Doug and the family never cease to amaze me! Doug uses such simplistic yet awesome design.
Morning Janette (it's morning in Cape Town, South Africa🤪) totally agree with you ..I wish I had his skill set and I love his work ethic. Take care and have a lovely day or evening🌺
@@fijid8976 It's 3:45 a.m. in California . . . sipping coffee . . . thinking about all I need to do today. "Skill set" . . . I've so often thought to myself "They can't teach THAT in a book" in reference to Doug's capacity to do all that he does . . . and to his wife who knows exactly how to assist him . . . how she anticipates without direction. Who knows all she does behind the scene??? I'm sitting here thinking about your location and you, as a person . . . and how we're communicating. I have a "love hate" relationship with technology. Bottom line . . . although it's a pleasure to be communicating with you . . . it's people like Doug, his wife, and all they teach there children that keeps this world turning, isn't it? I wish you, too, a lovely day.
@@aslannette they are a beautiful family...and no...what Doug and Ashley are cannot be taught...its inherent. They are good decent humans🤲 apologies for the late response. Have a lovely day🌺
I love your trailer solution to the problem of not having a garage. You can take it with you when you move to the next project.
Turned out great. And it will be so helpful to have a workshop. Free up space in your home, makes life easier.
Delightful to watch the family work together. How wonderful your a couple who work well together and patient parents. The children are learning valuable life skills.
I looked it up and that storage unit price is really really good for the quality you get.
I bought 2 of them a few years ago and hooked them together to make a big area in my garage. They are very strong and I love them!
I watch all your videos, started with the trailer Reno at the schoolhouse. I don’t comment often but I just wanted to say I appreciate you. Being the kind of ppl you are, working so diligently, and taking the time to document it all for us. I hope RUclips is good to you and you can continue for many years.
Maverick has grown up overnight. Wow! What a sweet boy. Take care.
Great job as always Mr Doug!! Love to hear Ms Ashley laughing 🤣!!! So much happier!!! Great families do Great things together!!!
I am never disappointed in watching your projects. Even something as simple as a workbench - and believe me, I've seem some cobbled-together doozies! - is well thought out and executed beautifully! I know you're proud of your work, and it shows!
Doug, You are so creative. Looks wonderful. Always enjoy seeing what you can create .
Fantastic idea for the Home Depot shelf. I have one of those shelves and it is really sturdy. Never considered making a work bench from one of those. Thanks.
Doug u r so clever ! Great job thlooks like the kids like to help too
The workshop is coming on brilliantly. A solid workbench is the foundation of a workspace, with the dust extraction being another essential for a safe space. You have the lighting sorted, but do check for light strobing with the moving tools. It is so much safer when you have a place for everything and everything in its place.
I love the way your baby boy wants to help, he appears to be such a sweet child. Believe me he is watching and taking it all in. ❤️❤️
We have those exact shelves! Love how you made them work for your workshop trailer! ❤️👍🏼
What a beautiful workbenches. Great idea to use a shelf unit with a butcher block countertop !
This is yet another example of you going above and beyond.
Nice to see someone who knows how to properly spray paint. Note how Doug releases the button at the end of each stroke of his hand. That's the way it's done folks. Also the method when using a spray gun. Nice work guys. Excelsior. Onward and Upward!
Maverick is such a sweetheart!! ❤️ He always likes to help his dad!! 😊
Can't wait to see when it's all finished. So far looks very good. Nice, neat and will be organized. Love it!!!
The shelves and workbench look great! Love the red❤️Great job guys! Thanks for sharing😊👍🏻
Your son is an awesome little man!
Everytime you show Maverick he has gotten bigger and cuter. Nice workbench, This will help you a lot.
You never cease to amaze me Doug! I’m glad you finally have something decent to work on and with. You richly deserve it! Much love to you Ashley and the kids!🙏❤️
That workbench is fabulous!! Love your attention to detail!!
Maverick is becoming such a good helper. Way to go Maverick!!
Doug, your so smart. You were born to build.
No erectors sets for Maverick he's hands on with the real things.
That bench looks Great add a hook for eye protection and ear protection measuring tape chalk levels squares that never move away from the bench and a set of mobile ones while you build...
Love the variety of your channel👍
Belle is getting so big she's turning into a beautiful young lady 😘
Doug, the workbench looks great !!!
The red wood topper made it all come together- You’re really something special ❤️
Congratulations on.a job well done 👍
Looks great. Love watching your family work together. Stay safe and God bless.
Excellent choice to keep the workbench higher than usual!!! Your back will thank you! Looks outstanding!
Maverick is growing so fast. Love the family working on the counter top together.Genius work bench for the
Tool Geeks.
Your workbench’s design is marvelous! You gave me a good idea to build my own potting bench. Thank you so much 🌺😇
You are Truly a "thinking outside the box" GENIUS! Looks great!
Fantastic and I loved seeing Maverick helping…
I'm always impressed with how you are able to "see" what it can become before you even open the box. I think that's an ability many people have, but don't use. Great work!
The bench looks so good. Always a great job when you guys do it. I really love how all you guys work together. It’s great for the kiddos to be part of the projects.
You are so awesome by how you come up with these projects, always useful, sturdy, and so neat looking.
I really do think only you could make those shelf pieces looks so elegant.
Awesome idea. With wood prices and time this was a wonderful solution. Organization sometimes does take more time then the original project.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
THAT is/was a 'nifty' idea to make the shelving a work bench.. 👍
Maverick wants to be right there helping dad. Your children are so helpful.
You are so smart and think of everything!!
Doug, you are by far one of the smartest DIY era I watch! You use what you have and it always works in your favor even if you run into a problem! God bless you!💕
Doug, it’s so good!! Just think, you can use this wonderful set up to even go and do work for others. I really like what you have come up with so far.
Smart idea for a workbench. The height looks perfect for you.
I built my benches up at 40 inches for the reason that I don't like bending over to work on stuff so much...you will LOVE benches and working at that height.
Your new work shop is fantastic! Your little Maverick is learning by watching and helping! He is going to be so talented, just like mom and dad!
Wow fantastic workbench idea! I love all the shelf space too!
I did the same thing. Used a different brand of shelving, but used them as a workbench. Works. Really well. 👍🏼
Hello from OK-You do such great work-your attention to detail and how everyone steps up to help is refreshing to watch-you are going to turn this property into a wonderful home-I look forward to every new video 😀
*DIYfferent with Doug and Ashley shelving install appreciate your videos Listening from Mass USA TYVM 💙 Doug Ashley*
The way you put the work bench together was nice and it looks great💯👏🏾👍🏾
Your thinking outside the box continues to amaze me! The workbench turned out so good! And of course I always enjoy Maverick getting in on the action. I love kids at this stage especially, seeing how they absorb knowledge and learn. Such a joy. Whats nice about the Home Depot shelf is that it can either be reused as is or back to a shelving unit when you have the building built for a permanent workshop. The work you are putting into this project will help organize your tools and have a place to use them. It is so enjoyable watching your videos, so I thank you for sharing your journey with us. Take care.
Great job, Doug. I am tall myself and the counter heights in each of the homes I have bought have been a pain in the back. I will keep your work bench in mind. Thanks.
I have the opposite issue. Haha -M
Good Morning Doug Ashley Belle & Maverick, your workbench is so nice.So happy it is done for you.Love seeing the kids help out. They are learning so much from both of you.AWESOME!! 👏😊👍
Maverick is growing up so fast. I love this age. He loves his DaDa👵🏻😊
🌼 Wow, Im so happy to see this project. This will make your build so much easier. Maverick is getting so big and adorable. Be blessed.
Great project. I agree, the taller height counter makes it more comfortable when working at the bench. Also, when you are finished with the "traveling" workshop, you can start your own handyman business...LOL As always...keep up the excellent work.
I love your attention to details, like spraying the spacers red to blend.
10 years ago I worked at a storage facility in Irvine, Ca, there were 2000 units there. One of the incentives was ''we have free shelving here''. I had to build them all! What a memory!
Workbench looks great and very sturdy. Nice. The kids are getting so big! Doug has a "mini-me" with Maverick.
I love the workbench. You might want two of them for cutting long boards. Great idea for a work shop that you can always take with you.
You guys always come up with great hacks to customize regular, shop bought, stuff into just what you need. Very impressive.
Really looks nice. Your creativity is amazing.
That's a great workbench. Very good idea with the shelving unit.
I love everything you have done with this work shop project. Your attention to detail and quality is well planned out. Super great job!!!
Always adding those extra touches that make a piece better, stronger, more attractive. Love the look of the bench and how you managed to make three layers instead of just the two. Great job on the oiling Ashley, Belle, and Maverick! Can't wait to see the dust collection system!
That was brilliant. Very practical and attractive.
I love this family, especially the little ones, they are always ready and eager to help. Love you Maverick!!!!
What a great workbench! Who would have thunk Homey Depot had a useful product! 😅😉
Doug is the Problem Solver/ Solutions Man! I like it!
It looks so great I like the fact that all that you do is so organized and clean God bless you your wife and your children
Awesome, looks great! I love how Maverick wants to be Daddy's little helper and, of course, we saw Belle helping out, too. This was a real family affair.
Super bench setup. Looking forward to seeing your dust collection system.
Great thinking Doug, you have given me an idea for my hubby's shed, thank you, love and blessings from Scotland :) :)
Looks well organized.
It does look good and definitely strong an sturdy. For people who like an industrial look, it would make a neat kitchen island (just a bit shorter). Thanks for sharing this build. Have a Blessed day.
Love the work bench. I've learned, the better you are organized the easier it is to get things done. Have a great day. 😊
You truly amaze me with your ingenious way of taking an item and making it into something just for you. So clever.
I don't know how much you get to read considering how much work you are doing but thank you for including the kids in the process. They are learning skills they can use for the rest of their lives
A little effort for a marvelous work space. Very GOOD vision for sure and GREAT JOB!!! God's blessings to you ALL.
When I take my trash to the old landfill, there are always empty Square Cat Liter Buckets with lids. I label them and store all kinds of stuff in them. I have Hand Sanding Kit, Belt Sanding Kit, Latex Paint Kit Oil Paint Kit, also my Extra Pipe Fittings are Sorted in Labeled Buckets.
You really do have brilliant ideas Doug. The big guy is the same way. He will buy or use something it was not intended for and turn it into something entirely 'diyfferent'. Added bonus he can make hardware for it. There's always leftover barstock from previous projects. When our son was due to be born we couldn't find the hardware that went with our daughters old crib. I loved that beautiful crib, and the hardware was lost. Well he made all the hardware out of some leftover brass. The crib was beautiful! Then our daughter used the crib her and her brother had slept in for our first grandchild. That beautiful white wooden crib with the brass fittings held up through 2 children and 4 grandchildren. Only thing that was replaced was the mattress. Sorry for the long post, just enjoy that like us you repurpose. ;)
It's so nice to have things organized and in one space. Great job! Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤❤
Nice! Function AND Form with a few modifications by Doug, it is going to be an awesome addition that will help facilitate your creative designs!
I like the idea of using portable shelving. Will be easy to take out and install in your permanent shop if you’d like to to when you build it. Maverick and Belle are looking so grown up.
That Florida air is making your children grow like weeds! LOL
Maverick is getting so tall. And I thought Belle was Ashley when she was carrying in the bench.
As usual it looks fantastic but that counter top is gorgeous. I’d put that in my house!
I love the way you guys work its all in the little details .
Another great job 👏
Doug, you and Ashley never cease to amaze me! Excellent work! 😀
LOVE the workbench!!
