    I have custom built 6'x10' x 7' height. Its the largest I can have to drive through the slim city streets of West Palm Beach. The streets are so narrow here is very typical to have about 2 inches of space between the outside tire of my trailer tire and someone's Ferrari. I'm laughing because more or less I built mine similar to yours. Even the same tools are in the same drawers. Weird lol. The only difference is I put all of my clamps, lights, and sawhorses in the v nose and saws in the back. Also I splurged and bought the heavy duty push to active RV drawer sliders and spoiler alert... they are trash. They are constantly opening. Having a good old friction fit drawer is the superior build. Nice trailer.

    Nice and organized. Biggest problem is now you can't haul anything in it. My 16' 8x8 trailer can fit a couple pallets loaded with a forklift, or I can fit up to 20 lengths of trim, or an entire kitchen remodel and quickly emptied to haul whatever I can fit in it. My toolboxes and shelves full of tools do not stop any hauling, only slightly diminish the payload

    Beautiful. The ultimate dream tool truck. I see you must be in construction. You are winner. I bet your construction work is just as prefect.
    I try to do everything my self, but when I hire contractors, the first thing that I want to see how they treat their tools. I sent people away for severely tangled up reciprocating saw cord and for a plumber for rusty tools in rusty tool box. I am just a regular guy, but if my tools are better than the contractors then something is off.

    • @johnnymac6178
      @johnnymac6178 Год назад +1

      Did you ever consider that the contractors tools may not be as nice as yours because we use them everyday while yours stay looking new because they collect dust in your garage? 🤔 Tools are made to get beat up. Using them 8-10 hours a day guarantees they will not look pretty for long.
      You did those guys a favor by not hiring them…no one likes working for people that judge before the job is finished!

    • @mrtopcat2
      @mrtopcat2 Год назад

      @@johnnymac6178 Did you ever consider that there may be MANY people, who live their lives to standards higher than yours? I have been working as a mechanic for over 40 years and I never let down my standards. And yes, I know from experience that work from those, who treat their tools like crap, isn’t worth anything, regardless of how loud mouth full of themselves they are. It is best to “do them a favor” and send them away politely. So you are just proving my point.

    I'm a contractor as well and looking to build out a new trailer. I like the organization of the trailer. However, the issue I have with your build is there are a bunch of loose tools in drawers and shelves, so when you need to take them from the trailer up to the project, do your guys just grab armfuls of tools and carry them up to the house/building? I'm thinking of racking numerous totes/bins/bags with groups of the tools I need for a given task so I'm not making 27 trips to the trailer on each one. Do you have a thought on this?

    • @langtrybuilt3899
      @langtrybuilt3899  6 месяцев назад

      This works for us, May not work for you. It makes no sense to me to drag in a bunch of totes and tools that are not needed for said project. It’s real easy in the morning for each guy to grab an impact a drill a box of fasteners on there way in . Regardless you can never bring everything you need at once. You will always need to make trips to the trailer.

    New subscriber. I own lots of Dewalt tools. However I'm a huge fan of Makita. Therefore Makita dominates my tool inventory. I work out of a 2012 Chevy van. Ladder racks on top. A big mess inside. Age 62 and still going at it.
