Nice job I fitted 3 111’s model so far customers very happy with them & the performance \ gas savings I’ve also fitted quite a few 050 and 100 models all have been top-notch!
Allen Hart Hi Allen, my favourite is the viessmann 111 model I fitted some time ago in a restaurant application, believe it or not it copes easily with the two commercial sinks and the heating ! I have an 050 Vitodens at home which has been brilliant 10 years ago all we would see would be the 100 series.
Allen Hart , the viessmann 050 is very good Allen, Much the same as the 100 series but you have to provide your own filling loop as it doesn’t come with a built-in one, all my clean & flushed installations had no problems at all with the rubber hoses some are over 10 years old now, and for £695+vat excellent value
Allen can you give us some details about the property eg why they went for this combi- system over a standard high flow combi. Is it just the 60 degree 48litre tank with seasonal differences and the 35 degree difference, wouldn’t it just constantly replenished being Body temp most wouldn’t notice if in a shower. But how does it cope with load eg say the shower is going and someone else turns on the kitchen tap to fill the bowel , how many bathrooms, showers , and wouldn’t a 100 litre tank and a system boiler give better results

Hi Allan, I’ve been trying to decide between fitting a Viessmann or an Atag boiler. I’m in Glasgow and the Atag is made in Scotland but I’m really impressed with the Viessmann. In your opinion Allan, can you help me decide on which boiler? Most grateful for your help. Peter
@@AllenHart999 Hi Allen, thank you so much for replying to me. I’m looking at getting a Viessmann fitted soon and I’ll let you know how that works out. Just before getting the boiler fitted, our existing Ariston combi. I wanted to flush the system first but as the boiler isn’t working “insufficient circulation” I don’t know how I can now add a cleaner (x800). So a couple of questions Allen, which Viessmann. 4 bedrooms and 3 wc’s on 3 floors but I’m actually a small terraced house. And secondly, how would I clean out my pipe work without a boiler. A huge thank you for your great contribution to all interested in good practice. You’re a star. Peter
Im confused- 1. would the Viessmann 100 combi boiler produce the same or adequate shower pressure (only 1 shower - ground floor)) as the 111. I don't want to make an expensive mistake in choosing a new boiler. 2. I currently have the Promax HE store (11 years old) to which I can fit an electric heating element. I have solar panels and which to heat the water with them. 3. Can I fit a heating element to the Viessmann 111. 4. Do you think a Mixergy tank and system boiler combo would better suit my needs given that I have solar panels. I would be grateful for any help. My main criteria are utilizing solar, and maintaining a good pressure in my shower; I'm a low user.
Hi Allen, good video. I'm planning loft conversion with additional shower there and upgrading the boiler from regular to combi. Would you recommend viessmann 35kw 050/100 or 111. Space is a bit of an issue but mostly I don't want a water pressure drop when having a shower.it will be 4 bed 1 bath, 1 shower house. Cheers
If my understanding is correct, the 111: ♦ Uses the one plate heat X to heat cold incoming water instantly, as per a normal combi. ♦ It also uses this plate heat X in conjunction with a small fresh water pump, to pump heated water in a loop, heated by the plate heat X, into the hot water storage vessel. If so, the 3-way valve moves over to the DHW position when either: *1.* There is hot water flow at the hot taps, or; *2.* The internal cylinder needs reheating. When 1. or 2. above exists... *a)* If the DHW flow switch is activated the fresh water pump that pumps water heated by the plate heat X, is deactivated. *b)* If the flow switch is deactivated (no call from a hot tap) and the cylinder needs reheating, the fresh water pump is activated. Correct?
Allen, I bought the Viessmann 111 based on your videos.....great boiler highly recommend it, big thanks 👍🏻....Can I ask a question if u have time.....I have the weather compensation fitted but also have Nest 3rd Gen thermostats fitted....can the two systems work together or are they conflicting? Very thorough video Allen. I have one of these boilers and on 6 occasions the water has been cold when my daughter is in the shower. I have a feeling it is something simple i am missing on the wireless thermostat. Boiler been in less than 3 months and Viessman not responding to emails. In the controller (thermostat) in settings for domestic hot water settings on the program show either enable or block - do all of these need to be on enable?
Would it be possible to switch off the water storage heater functionality occasionally, maybe during the summer months, when mains water temperatures aren't so low? Is there any way for solar panels to interact with this boiler in any way as well, or for them to heat the water cylinder here (unlikely I'm guessing)?
Never seen those press fittings before ? Any info on them, and am not a plumber. Lovely job fitting boiler and pipework and scientific with the green laser. Like no down time for the customer. Very professional job.
Nice video Allen, we have a PRV set to 2 bar, will this restrict the flow rate for hot water given it stores the hot water ? What is the min/max incoming water pressure for the vitodens 111.

You should be fitting the provided pressure reducing and pressure relief manifold to the cold inlet of the boiler just like you would on a Unvented Hot Water cylinder. The manifold doesnt actually come in the box with the boiler but should come with the order of the boiler (does with my merchant). Its a pretty important safety device mate.
