- In this VLOG we take a look at some studio construction progress. For the most part, I am looking for things to do... it's a trap! After uploading this video it dawned on me that I should be working on my LEGO lighting skills in the down time! But honestly, this was the first day where it was like "I really don't know what to do with myself".

Once you get your city over. You need to do a moc of you build/warehouse with your Lego city inside.
Legoception
Great idea!!
For the smell - get a plastic container big enough to cover the drainage hole; cut an arch in the edge ( to accommodate the pipe) and place it over the entire hole in the floor. You can place material around the arch and pipe if you cut it too big. Hope this helps😀
He needs to see this it's a help
Loving the progress. When they put that vent in the new wall, make sure to get one of the ones with the movable louvers. You'll probably want to close it a little bit to balance the heat/cold into the other rooms.
I am really enjoying this vlog series on the new warehouse build!
Could try some sound insulation in furnace room to cut down on noise if still loud after walls up
Your shoe rant gave me Mr Roger’s vibes - it’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood
Keep the tiny humans alive.....that is hilarious haha 🤣🤣
This is probably too late but that AC vent into main space, you may want to consider bringing that up to the working loft. Given it's elevated it's going to be warmest up there while building. That or add some holes in the loft floor
You should add insulation or sound proofing in the walls around the furnace to reduce the sound.
The studio is coming together so we’ll!
Jordan, I've been watching your channel in the background for a while and I really appreciate your endless enthusiasm and optimism. Great work on the new studio can't wait to see it finished!
He’s doing great working out all the details!
Thanks for sharing behind the scenes of the new studio Jordan!
studio and family both doing awesome job
As a trades man. I get anxiety when the owner hangs around
love the new studio keep up the great work.👍👌
Love getting to see the daily updates on the new place. Can’t wait to see the sky on the walls. Keep up all the great work bud!
Tip while you are doing all this construction is to have a well stocked first aid kit for the studio
For the sewer hole, a grocery bag filled with rags or paper towels to plug it. Leave the drain line in there
Really exiting to see the progress of the railing on the platform, looks really good :) nice to have the railing kind of separating the mess up there and the coffee station from the LEGO city :)
Suggestions what you could do:
- install the shelves in the two rooms
- install shelves upstairs
- organize boxes for shelves
- make a detailed layout plan for the lego area

Start building some Ikea Billy bookcases for the front rooms.
Enjoying watching the progress in the new studio. It's looking in good shape. Be great once you get to carpet and moving the billy/pax shelves 👍🏻
Looking good! Been enjoying this studio build progress :)
FYI. I have a studio and the IKEA FRIHETEN sleeper/storage couch has been perfect for the studio. I highly recommend this at some point (I know you’re on a budget)
You will find you want your studio nice and cozy, with features that mirror your home.
Luna is so adorable! She wanted you to show off your builds :D
Yes I love luna 😂
I love seeing Luna in your videos. She’s soo cute.
Place soundproof foam in the walls of the “furnace room”
I love that you’re changing shoes Mr. Rogers style at the new studio…..
Coming along well. Loving the updates.
I agree with getting the ducks in a row, my goal with any renovation project, and I have done a few, is to only move furniture once. Get the space finished before moving the furniture in.
That kitty is SO cute! I have to watch that part again.
You should put a shelf on the pony wall so some lego can be displayed.
the studio is so big
it absorbs a lot of time and energy
but eventually
it will all be worth it
The new studio is looking great
Everything is coming together nicely wonderful job to you Jordan!! It’s because of you things are looking awesome!! 🎉😊 love Benjamin’s outfit with Donald and Goofy!! Also digging your new dinosaur pajamas lol
Looking for things to do at while construction is taking place? Sort Lego! There is always Lego to sort. Never ending task.👍😎
The fact that you can be sat eating cheerios at 7.30 and still be at the new place by 8 even in rush hour is not bad!
If you add a second layer of drywall on the utility room, it can dampen the noise as well. At the very least, you can put up some cheap insulation inside for soundproofing.
I love the place keep up the good work.
Mate, looking fantastic. Once it is complete and your Lego in , I think it's going to be a great little adventure for the 4 of you. Ocean all the way from Australia
Commenting on those shoes. I’ve had those Skechers as they are nonslip for food service for the last 5 years. I’ve gone through 3 pairs, each lasted over 6 millions steps. So they’re solid.
Cant wait for the final reveal!!
This reminds me when the brick vault guys opened a shop in San Diego and put so much work on it and only lasted a few months before the pandemic took them off business, good luck Jordan!
Yeah, what happened to that? The pandemic should have helped all RUclipsrs, I know it helped my business and LEGO a ton
Suggestion you should build a booth style table and bench over the bathroom with the bench built over to cover the duct. Just thinking.
Cant wait to see your lego in there. Looking great
Put the drain hose in a bucket. And dump it regularly. Given you can put the bucket lower than where the water comes out of the furnace.
dang this is progressing so quickly
You can put some citric acid in the detergent dispenser and run a hot cycle to clean the dishwasher
As someone who lives in the southern US, the lack of AC scares me. Until I remember you're Canadian and probably wont be getting any 100F degree weather. (38C).
You still have plenty of touch up paint you could do between the gaps of your schedule.
When you get your city together, you should totally moc up a Lego version of the studio in the city.
You could paint the back of the shelf’s on the mezzanine.
You should push the trades guys to finish the back rooms first. That way you could start moving stuff and start building some lego 😉 and lock the rooms to stay dust free.
Get you a sweater and you can be just like Mr Rogers when you go to the studio and put your comfy shoes on.
You should sit down at a bench like Mr. Rogers and sing us a LEGO song when you change shoes.
Love it! You even call wooden planks a 2 by 4😂
Make a plate of lego bricks with a small space for the hose them put some playdoh around the tube. It would be on brand and stop the stink.
Love your content! Keep it up!
A wet towel covering the hole and pipe would seal the odor. Just keep the towel wet.
For the drain, just duct tape, the fix all material
If you use geen board instead of regular plaster board and some insulation that will helps keep the HVAC noise down
Looking good Bricksie
I wonder when you're all done much later, will you look back and "miss" all the chaos that went into setting up the studio? I think so, at least a little ("remember that time when the wall started leaking?", etc..)
Queue Heist music: "We need to finish the caper before next Monday!"... ;)
Well, Bricksie, you can always do some virtual planning, you know.
See what you can do in terms of layout planning.
Like say, if you are willing to create a Lion Knights Castle Island with say two bridges.....
Or watch Robin Hood Bricks his cabinet series of youtube clips, a long and low cabinet at the table edge, would let you add in a underground & undersea setting, for one.
The way he made his cabinet back wall poster, would also be something for you walls, I bet, in terms of style.
So yeah, research.
Start some planning work, like which sets you might need to get more off and why.
Also look up say old Ninjago blueprints and so on, see if there are a few you might like, even partial.
It might let you combine several old sets, their designs, into one.
And figure out how to cool your future build room, might become needed, I figure.
its getting there!! I can just see how it would look like in my head, its gonna be awesome.. keep on posting dude (dave uk)
There are definitely ways of getting rid of furnace noise! Just ask your local float therapy center. I wouldn't spend the time, money and energy doing if for your studio though.
Love my Skechers! They're great!
It's not fair? You're the boss! Lol
You are the warehouse manager. That’s usually at 20 US dollars an hour. 40k a year. So. You are allowed to watch Netflix while the trades do their work. Consider it a perk
you have to use a wet rag it will wraparoud pipe and block the hole no smell
Where is the thermostat located? If the thermostat is located up in the front studio and it's sitting at 20° c the back part of the studio will not be 20° c. Not enough airflow to cool the back studio.
Amazing
Hey Bricksie Walmart has men’s shirts with that print on them and other Disney prints
You should look into a drone that will record your video. They can be set up to stay at a high and fallow you around.
are you getting indoor security cameras too?! i have some ring stickup cams in my garage so i can make sure i didnt leave garage door open...hahaha
Love your videos there sick
Can you not just put the existing toilet back onto the sewage waste pipe and then fill with some water (in the base of toilet) - this will stop the smell coming up through the water. You can then temporarily feed the condensate pipe into the toilet itself (you'll need the drop from the furnace output to the top of the toilet base).
....what Judy said, or just shove rags in bags around the drain pipe down the drain. Leave the handles of the plastic bag hanging out so nothing gets shoved down the drain. Methane gas is the real problem, not the smell.
Duck tape The sewer drain around the condensation tube...
You can also pour some water in the trap of that drain and it should help with the smell.
Yes 👍
The toilet has the trap in it not the drain pipe. You would be correct in basically any other situation.
@@bigchiefwahoo fair enough. For some reason I thought he had the toilet in there. I mainly throw the videos on at work so I am only hearing audio most of the time.
Longer PVC and run it out the overhead door?
We love our Skechers.
I know nothing about HVac or heat, but if the furnace heats the space, why do you also need the infra red over head heaters?
You could have a dry trap. Pour water down the drain.
You could learn Bricklink Studio in your downtime!
Can't u paint in the back rooms so u can start putting shelving together
Soooo the one duct is all your going to have for that back space? If your going to be putting your building space in high up in the back half with that one duct. Hot air rises do you think that might become a bit of a issue in the dead of summer? Portable AC’s are a pain to maintain if on multi levels like that.
4:36 lot’s of duck tape
LoL yo cat 😸 s like meow dad. Why you not. Down hear. Every day ...😊. The donio wrap .its like a dressing gown/ barth. robbe thing. I could see you wearing that to the wear house. Befor putting the heating on if their orly morning s if it s snowing out side
if the did the whole snake for the furnace, why didnt they run it through the ceiling like you wanted. Can't it be done now?
Hmm, how close are you to getting one of the back rooms done? Could start moving in one of those soon?
PAINT THE CEILING BLUE
Hi Jordan, is the motion sensor in the corner on the big door wall going to work with your sky back drop in front of it
Is there a reason you don't have the tube going into a bucket? If you only have the heat on while you're there that should suffice temporarily.
How hot does get up there in the summer?
Are you filming with the DJI Pocket 3? The tracking is excellent.
It's all looking amazing. What gimbal are you using to track you when hands free? That is awesome. I remember you going over your tech but now I can't find that video.
Ooooh man 😢
Jordan, how far is the new studio from your house?
As a hairdresser on my feet all day long I only wear Skechers, the most comfortable and durable shoe you can find
