I would love to have seen the costumes in Love With The Proper Stranger that Edith designed too. Wonderfully elegant when women weren't afraid to be women ❤
For some reason I was especially impressed with Kim Novak's attire but everything Edith designed was grand and so intimately coupled with the character portrayed by the actor or actress.
She was a costume designer/supervisor on it iirc! and was the one who chose Givenchy to work on the three famous dresses from the film, and worked to some extent on all the looks herself i think
@@adamodeo9320i know what you mean but i don't think i am! Here's a quote from the christie's website: "Givenchy designed the key costumes for Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast At Tiffany's, other items were provided by the Paramount wardrobe department, supervised by Edith Head." You're right though, her role was fairly minor. I made this video a while back, i was young and hadn't seen that many movies then lol
@@hade_s_hades Despite having already won six Academy Awards for her work on films including Roman Holiday, Sabrina and All About Eve, when it came to Breakfast at Tiffany's, it was Givenchy who received all the credit, with Head being demoted to 'costume supervisor'.
what's you are looking at some of the most beautiful woman in history . clean beautiful and adorable . you will never ever see woman like this again . not a tattoo in the bunch thank god .
I love style and classic Hollywood. Thanks for sharing Edith's work. You hit the pin on the head.
Beautiful designs, stunning actresses - all wonderfully svelte.

Every single piece is exceptional. Just absolute perfection.

Edith was the best. 💜💕💜💕
I love the fashions and the women.
All that Male Gaze, though...makes me want to upchuck.
Lovely
breakfast in Tiffany was not hers --

@@hade_s_hades you're confusing 'breakfast' with sabrina -

@@adamodeo9320 Exactly! She did work on it, although only as a supervisor, that's right
