@@leojamesclune1730 Correct, Sprinkle joined the party around Episode 32, so only 6 episodes before this. I don't think the "Sprinkle is dead" joke began until the party made it to Xhorhas
Yep. One of my favourite characters throughout C2 and C3 (didn't watch C1). The roleplay is stellar, especially the way he made that "high WIS, low INT" work beautifully and thematic without making him appear as a complete tool that only spews out "wise words" without any meaning. And gameplay-wise I'd say Caduceus was the MVP of C2. Liam also played Caleb really smartly and, well, all the players are pretty good at playing, but Caduceus always came in clutch with healing, buffs and debuffs. Caduceus isn't the most flashy character but he is the perfect support frame, both for fights and for roleplay that all others could build upon and for that I adore him.
A fair shake but its also a tool im Cad’s belt specifically (him as a cleric of the grave). Something rare enough in game to where Tal could use it on whim and in character for him(Cad) to do so given the odd circumstances. But HOT DAMN when it hits it fucking HITS
So good at playing a high wisdom character. Deduces things the other players miss, but also doesn’t immediately act impulsively with this info. Exercises caution, and restraint, but also vigilance.
Unrelated kinda, but I am reminded in 2024 that Jamedi's surname is Costco. As a DM, I know the pain that Matt felt when the players clowed on him for that, but as a viewer and a player, it's one of the funniest moments.
Sorry long comment friend: im not putting you on blast, im surprised i had so much to say honestly Its the thing he can do as a grave cleric man, no need to throw any flak his way. Let him flex his cleric muscles as he provides what he can to the Team, and the storytelling. Tal used eyes of the grave AFTER Matt described the physical world (perception) what he found out from that (perception) is odd, and a small mystery. So he looks in his toolbelt for what else he’s got, hence Eyes of the grave (a skill that wont get MUCH use outside of a dungeon or necromancer lair lets be real here) Its honestly no different than if Fjord took the eldritch invocation of Detect magic for free and he started using that alot
He doesn't use eyes of the grave 5 times a sessions yo. He used it maybe 20 times throughout the entire campaign. There are other channel divinities that clerics can use, you know that right?
When the player is able to actually RP his character's high Wisdom score.
Tallesin has the wisdom of an elder god. Cad is just a vessel to demonstrate it. ❤
1:16 Sam: "Beauregard starts glowing"
Marisha to Matt later that night: "So I have an idea for campaign 3..."
That's pretty great
Ah, I forgot about Jumanji Costco.
I literally can't remember his real name ten seconds after watching this video. In my head he was always called that in cannon.
God, the look of pride in Matt's face when Talesin figures it out is what I hope to feel someday
Shit like this is why Cad was my favourite. So many moments of cutting insight that Taliesen played out perfectly.
I absolutely agree. I have always felt that Taliesen truly embodied Caduceus in a believable, honest way.
"Beauregard starts glowing" hits different after Laudna...
"I insight check the DM for shenanigans."
"You do, in fact, sense some shenanigans from the DM."
Travis was still doing the Texblade voice then
I'm surprised that no one suggested looking at Sprinkle. There was a running joke that he's dead.
He did detect undead on sprinkle later.
I don't think that joke was running yet? Correct me if I'm wrong
@@leojamesclune1730 That might explain it. Don't know when that started.

The “Sprinkle is Dead” joke didn’t really take off until episode 90 with Sam’s “he’s been dead for weeks” as far as I can recall
As soon as I heard his name, I was delighted to remember the wonderful Jumani Costco
Caduceus is my favourite Tal character. He played him so well

Taliesin has been playing for long enough to spot the signs.

His name is Jamedi Cosko if I remember correctly, but the players bastardizing it to Jumanji Costco is something I love
I didn’t realize how much I missed Caddy Shack
I love Cad so much. Hes such an old man and Taliesin plays him perfectly. Makes me wanna rewatch this campaign
I loved Percy, but Cad grew on me so much in C2. It's hard to pick a favorite between the two.
i always appreciate it when actual bug-knowledge is rewarded
His shirt is PERFECT 😂
I used to work outdoors with this one dude who swore that bugs very bit him.
Only now am I realising he was probably also undead.
TEXBLADE OMG I LOVE HIM
So happy I met Taliesin.
Very down to earth guy in my brief chat with him.
Amazing that Sam called Marisha out 😂
So was Jamedi a hollow one like Laudna?
But.. is it really insight tho if he's using eyes of the grave like 5 times per session?

@@TenzinBeifongIII yes I know. Cad is my 2nd fave character in the M9 series. I was exaggerating lol.
