Good tutorial. I'm looking for a way to curve just the bottom of the text, or just the top of the text. Here's the use case. I have 3 lines of text. The middle line is the flag, and that's easy to do. The 1st line of text should have no wave at the top, while the bottom should follow the line of the flag for the 2nd line of text. The bottom of the 3rd line of text should be flat, while the top should follow the flag of the 2nd line of text. I've tried using Warp, but the results are inconsistent and amateurish. Any ideas would be helpful. Thank you!

Brendan....love your videos. They have helped me do soooo much! Thanks. But have a question, is it possible to stress/age lettering? I've designed something that I'd like to age, look antique with the small cracks like a well worn/washed shirt logo would have. Is it possible in Photoshop?

Hi Brendan, I always use the second method, using the pen tool, but my text is always cut off & sometimes it doesn't appear. I use [Ctrl] + [Click] but my text still doesn't appear in full, I can't find another option to shift the start & end points which may be piling up, is there a shortcut to display that option? thx

Great videos bro! Such a clean and concise presentation. A pleasure to watch! Quick question tho, is there any easy way to create a perfect circle with the pen tool to help create an emblem?

I would not use the pen tool. Instead use the ellipse shape tool. In the options bar set it from shape to Path and you can hold shift to draw a perfect circle path to type on

Can this be used on a pic/logo?

If one right clicks the Text layer, there is a Warp option with choices and sliders. Brandon didn't mention this, but I'd value his expertise on using this option.

If you are familiar with warping an image it is mostly the same. Technically the arc preset used in this video is part of the warp setting.
However I definitely agree a warp tutorial would be worthwhile! I can add it to my list

How do you remove the lorem ipsum to put in your own text?

    • @BrendanWilliamsTutorials

Well you can just double click the lorem ipsum to edit it like a word document. Or you can remove placeholder text within the preferences in Edit or Photoshop > preferences depending on PC or mac.
