I’m so freaking happy, I’ve studied English for 7 years, it all started with my parents (they’re not native English speakers) when I was 4 years old, I went to a bilingual kindergarten and there English became my everything! And currently I’m obsessed with it😂♥️ I’ve made friends abroad, I got used to watch movies in English, to listen songs in English among other things! Sometimes I make mistakes, and I must research on the internet where I’ve failed and how should I improve my English. You’re helping me a lot and I could never thank you enough for it. Thanks for taking the time to help others and for making me keep my passion for this language♥️

I am indian and know English well but unable to understand American's pronounce. This video helped me very much to recognise the pronounciation of American English.
your speaking is clear than my earphone. thank you for making this channel because I believe that everyone out there achieve something from your lesson.
Hello madam I am good at reading and writting but when it comes to speak I stuck I can't speak a single word same is the case with listening sometimes I totally don't understand what they say.. I desperately want to speak English fluently and also want to improve my listening
I can understand what she says on this video. I'm from Brazil and I like to study english so much, I really want to improve my skills in english, every day I listen people by the videos and even my teacher as well, thanks Gabby, I could hear your pronounce very well.
As a non native english speaker, I find that understanding what I listen depends wildly on the speaker. In some cases I am able to understand almost everything, but in others I am not able to understand a single word, I think is a matter of phrasing, some people speaks in a way that every words seems to be "linked" together... do you guys agree?
You sure they ain't using slang. That sure as heck is the problem for most of you non natives. You gotta learn the slang as well. If you're listening to Americans, they tend to mumble a lot. Just saying
+ImNotADeeJay I fully agree, I can write and speak nicely, but I can't I understand fast speech especially the US accent, due to the "linking" you mentioned. This irritates me a lot. I think that only living in America for at least one year will help me.
The problem to me is that, unless you have the chance to be fully exposed to the language (i.e., moving to the US, UK, Australia...) is pretty hard to get the "ear" used to it. I try hard listening youtubes and subtitled movies very often, less is nothing...
I totally agree, mate! It also happens with our mother language. People who are learning Portuguese for example, find the way some people speak really hard to understand. It depends on the context, how much school education the person has, economic matters, city location, speaker intention and so on. We call it lingusitic variation. The teacher in this nice video, for example, uses a different speed and pronounce words more clearly, because she wants that you fully understand the content, it's her work. If you do not understand, you never click her videos again, then profits per click won't exist. Certainly it is completely different when she's talking to her close friends or husband. Place, occasion and intention makes the tone...

+Tekaru Oka sometimes you can not understand what people are talking about in your native language, can you? so.. english is similar to it. in real conversation we don't need to identify every word. i sometimes listen english on TED, in fact it's difficult
i think that is a skill that it can be achieve just with practice, practice and more practice. and what more important is you always should think in a positive way
