I agree all you say in this video. I'm italian and since for elementary school, the teachers teachings focus on writing and reading. The Listening and speaking should occupy more hours in the school week. Yes, when I listening, I try to translate in my language but, in this way, I lose listening of the interlocutor. When I don't traslate anything but I listen and I try to comprehend the meaning, I understand 70%-90% of the conversation. Thanks, your english is very very cleary.

Hi Gabby, your speaking style is so perfect for speakers' of English as a foreign language. I love listening and watching to learn the natural English. Many times I fail to understand the native English speaker but the captions that appear while you are speaking are so helpful for the learners. Many thanks for your great effort.
Thanks so much Gabby you explained very clearly what we have to do to improve listening skills .I hope I will undertand the native speaker better because longtime ago I got trouble with an American employee working at home depot when I tried to explain to him that I wanna buy a bulb to replace for my kichen but he did not understand at all although I lived in USA 20 yrs already.Again thank you for your time .
Thank You! I like Your clear pronunciation. How to say 100% (60%, 80%) persent or persentS? I hear "S" (4:10 ...), but is this correct? Or "t" at the end of word sounds like "ts"?
What a great video! God, I've never been at a English class before, all I know (basic grammar) I learned playing games online with native speakers (Tks Xbox live) and reading books, specially H.P Lovecraft and other horror books. Also, I'm learning a lot of things by watching to your videos. And... really? Don't even the natives understand 100% when talking with each other?

My biggest challenge in English is actually speaking. I can understand a lot more than I can speak. I can't use the same structures of phrases while I am speaking.
This is normal! During the learning process we can distinguish 5 different steps: 1. I don't understand 2. I recognize, I understand but can't use the structure/word actively 3. I memorize, I work on the structure or the word sounds, I repeat it so that my brain understands it is actually important 4. I try to use, so I adjust my production so that I can insert the new structure/word 5. I use, so I can use the sentence freely without any effort. Unfortunately, many courses are focused only on the second and the fourth step, but it turns out to be quite passive. My advice is that you need to actively learn the structures and especially COPY/PASTE the structures you hear and think might be useful for you. The way we speak is a mosaic of many people we've listened to/watched, so feel free to pick up from them!
Thanks Gabby. I’m a leaner and I understood almost 100% of all you said in the video. You make me feel like if I finally understand English. Your pronunciation is very clear and the way you speak is perfect for me to understand.
