Thank you. That was clear and reasonable.

It's my experience that you cannot access those repressed emotions at all without stabilising your nervous system first, so what exactly are you suggesting is the right way to do things here? The reason they are repressed in the first place is because your system is on alert all the time and can't deal with them in the moment, it pushes them down to deal with survival first.

      Yeah this exactly.

Yes - our systems are destabilized and on alert because of the fear / repression of the buried emotions so the way we work with it in KI is to progressively make both the buried feelings (usually either anger or hurt) conscious and the fear of accessing, feeling and expressing them (our repression) conscious in short daily practices. We also utilize any beliefs / identities / worldviews that we have such as “This work isn’t safe”, “I have to build capacity”, “I’m powerless” and / or “I’ll never get free” as ways into the repression programming and buried emotions by challenging them with what we call reverse inquiry. Ultimately we make use of everything we believe that causes suffering to get free of suffering. Hope that’s helpful - thanks for commenting / sharing 🙏🏻.

You're massively misunderstanding what nervous system regulation is, and how it works. Regulation is absolutely enough, and isn't just a band aid when done properly, but a deep processing OF those "repressed" emotionss. You're also not referenced an entire relevant field to the unconscious mind -- hypnotherapy. Much has been clarified, learned, and innovated on these topics since Freud and Jung. And, if you want to go toward the body & repression as part of the unconscious mind, look into Willhelm Reich. Point being that your message is lacking in proper context. If you're going to speak "against" another form of therapy, you should understand it fully.

Thank you and I do understand NSR and not speaking against it, just pointing out that it doesn’t go far enough for many because that’s been my own and many of the people who traditional NSR has stopped working for because they found it reinforced their repression. If the above video feels like criticism please watch my recent video called “Why Emotional Repression Work is so Important”.
There’s nothing wrong with NSR - just like there’s nothing wrong with using substances to achieve the same end. I usually don’t encourage anyone to try repression inquiry until they’ve tried most everything else and many have - more than you might think.
I’ve not found another modality that gets at emotional repression and buried emotions in the body as practically, directly and effectively as KI but I’m open to learning about it if so - I will check out Reich, thank you for the recommendation - and for watching and commenting ✊🏻.

Hi there, just wanted to chime in ... In my experience, with a background as a Clinical Counselling Hypnotherapist, I agree there are some parallels between hypnotherapy and KI repression work as both target ‘transcendence’ AKA trance-ending, ending the trance of suffering. I have seen a lot of success with hypnotherapy supporting clients in transforming instinctive fear responses. However, hypnotherapy is an integrative tool to be used in other modalities, meaning it strengthens the other modalities applied as defenses are dropped, moving into altered brain wave states (from beta to alpha, even theta or delta), providing access to the subconscious realm. HOWEVER, if the modalities applied in conjunction with hypnotherapy don’t address emotional repression directly, it won’t arise in hypnotherapy either.
KI is directly targeting emotional repression, including the programming that sustains the need to keep repression in place, so even if somatic modalities at times can be very powerful in aiding the release of stored emotions, without addressing the programming, nor acknowledging the frozen fear and emotions trapped in contractions, healing can mostly be only partial and temporary. I hope this helps.
