I remember when i was 18 I just so happened to see this program labeled "Back and Forth : Foo Fighters" on my cable listings late one night. I was like sure whatever, let's watch. I've been the biggest Foo Fighters fan since then. Over 10 years ago. I went and seen them in Auburn Hills, Michigan in 2011 after thier release of Wasting Light. I connected to all of their music in such a profound way, feeling like it was made just perfectly for me. It's almost like my brain had empty music cavities just waiting for the perfect music to fill them. Then Foo Fighters came in to my life. I absolutely adore these guys man.
I went on this tour when I was 6 months pregnant with my first kid. She got to rock out in my belly big time. To this day she still loves to rock out with their music. My girl 🤘🏼

I saw them live in 2015. tickets were more expensive than other concerts I've been to but it was worth it. If I have a chance to see them again I definitely will.

There's a trick I learned with time for this song, maybe you knew that but I love it Listen to it in earplugs but use it only one for the beggining, picking the right one the whispers from the start get isolated from the guitar notes and there's such a peaceful progression that really works for the narrative of the song and when the guitar finally comes back it's all the more hype. Feels wonderful these seconds with only Dave's gentle vocals and as he goes "became a shameful equation" it kinda lets you feel it much more
I love that these videos from the This Video Sucks contest are coming back up! This is awesome, I used to watch these on Fuse in 2011-12 when this first happened

I think they waited 8 years just because they needed technology to progress and contain the immense power of Pizza Avenger that otherwise would've destroyed all the set just by breathing.
This song oozes Foo Fighters. You learn the hits, Everlong, Learn to Fly, The Pretender, etc... But this song incorporates a lot of their techniques and translates well to multiple guitar arrangements
