there will never be another ace like the one tiger had in phoenix. that crowd was so hyped just to see tiger, but when the ace went in, the place went absolutely nuts.
FIRST, I'm pretty sure the Pete dude at 8 is Shooter McGavin from Happy Gilmore. SECOND, man I will never get enough of Tiger raising the roof after the hole in one in Phoenix.
Been playing golf for 20 years and have never really come close to an ace. The closest I got to one...my ball landed about 4 feet past the pin, it spun back, hit the flag stick and ended up 6 feet away.
I think they placed his number 1 because of the hole and the difficulty surrounding it. That hole has stadium seating all along the way down to the green, and the crowd is forced to be quiet (almost unwillingly too). I agree with you but I think that is why they numbered the aces like this.
It would be a hole-in-one for the person who hits the ball if there ball hits an object (or another ball) and goes in.. If the person's ball is already on the green and something happens to it (gets knocked off the green or knocked in the hole) it is placed back where it was.
I can't believe that Tiger Woods' ace at the 1997 Phoenix Open beat Jonathon Byrd's walk-off ace at the 2010 Justin Timberlake Shriners For Hospital Tournament during a playoff.
It usually depends on the situation. Take #1 for example, Tiger's opponent hit it about 1 and half foot from the hole. They said Tiger wouldn't get inside that. But not only did he get inside that, he got inside the hole.
@brendomatic1 it's because of where it took place. #16 at scottsdale may be the hardest par 3 in golf as far as focus goes, next to #17 at sawgrass that is. With all those spectators there it is impossible to get absolute silence as well has having more eyes on you at on time than any other event in golf. Probably more people watching you at one hole than in one day at any other event on tour.
What about the hole in one Trevino hit in a skins game? Can't remember the year but it was like 7 skins on the line and he was playing with Jack Nicklaus and (?). It was worth about $200,000 which was huge then. The other three guys went next and Jack just about holed it too.
A tallant I will never have. Well, as long as I haven't tried golf yet. That's my new years resolution for next year. I Have to try gold. I've only played Wii Sport - Golf, and it's all the same now...
Watching this is great, especially after last weekend. We had a foursome and myself and a friend hit back to back aces on the front nine, then three of us hit back to back to back aces on the 11th hole. I wish all four of us would have aced that hole, but the fourth player hit the windmill blade as it came down. Then, all of us hit the dinosaur’s foot on the next hole. 🇺🇸
In my opinion, the one that placed in the second place should have made it to the first place. What are the odds in winning a playoff match with a hole in one? But all great aces, I have yet to make my first one :)
Tiger - Get my Qtr Pounder meal and 10 - Chicken McNuggets. I aced the hole. NOW WATCH ME EAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sir Charles - Let me play. Tiger - NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's funny watching older videos of pros hitting 5 irons 170 and then watching people like Dustin Johnson hit a 5 degree 160 now. Hell even a scrub 10 handicap golfer like myself can hit my 5 iron 230 on a good day.
I went back to see if anyone beat woods’ 202 yard length and not a one.wait...50 years ago the barber dude did. Tigers once in a lifetime shot. At 20? 22? Impressive
Can't believe you left out Fuzzy Zoeller's hole in one on youtube in 2007. His was best of all since it looked initially that his ball stopped above the hole, and then, a little at a time, the ball started to pick up speed and backed down the hill into the hole!!!
I'm not saying golf wasn't popular before Tiger Woods, but damn he made it more interesting.
***** Spieth the Chief
(my content, reuse I will sue)
I think rory mcilroy made it more interesting now
MegaVinylshaker alright buddy, i'm taking you to court
+MadjaX So did that golf club his wife threw!
+JD Conrad from UT hook em
1:24 old guy in background can't stand up
Justin Bidwell lol how did you even notice that ? That's too good hahahaha
lol. Laughing so hard right now
The shot was too powerful for mere mortals to withstand
Some say he’s still there...
I have watched Tiger's ace at TPC Scottsdale a few times; it still gives me chills. What a shot.
its insane we can actually watch video of it. its like a legend that is straight from golf mythology.
The fact that the camera crew from 1962 still had the ability to follow those balls with ease, and such clarity, is so cool to see.
You forgot Happy Gilmore's
He didn't win a car though lol
Bro Happy Gilmore’s was on a par 4! An Albatross!
Happy Gilmore is a G
Happy Gilmore just achieved that feat no more than an hour ago
"Give me a 5 iron. I need a car"
Nick .B and then two babes come out and hug him lol what a g
That one of Tigers was special. We need him back.... Damn
That crowd cheer in the PGA hole in one compilation though. Came from an old footage.
"Gimme a 5 iron, I need a car" cracked me up
222 yard ace. Wow.
That's nothing
+Andrew Manzano Why dont you try it then?
Andrew Stevens I will later today. But I've seen some pretty far hole outs from over 250 yards
атиь
@@andrewmanzano461 I’m sure you have
there will never be another ace like the one tiger had in phoenix. that crowd was so hyped just to see tiger, but when the ace went in, the place went absolutely nuts.
Fred Couples was the man. I love that guy.
Perfect swing
Is*
awesome video!!!!!
Thanks to youtube, we are able to watch some wonderful videos which we never could.
Awesome shot!
10 was the best. An assist like that is amazing.
has fred couples ever made a swing that wasn't smooth?
If only melting brain Biden could deliver lines as smoothly as Fred couples swings
Pro trick: you can watch movies on flixzone. Been using it for watching a lot of movies lately.
@Zane Lachlan yea, have been watching on Flixzone} for since november myself :D
Hahaha I'm running into Kyle from 8 years ago 😂 best wishes man
Tiger had 9 aces by the time he was 21. Insane
great video!
It is great to see ten holes in one
HEY PGA! At #5 Rich BEEM's hole in one was at the 14TH HOLE! The 17th hole is a Par 5, uphill, 597 yards. OOOOOPS!
great vid - more please
Tiger is the goat
A certain Jack Nicklaus disagrees.
Tiger is a tiger
2 and 7 is amazing
10 was unthinkable
1 was just perfect
Beem and Tiger, what a couple of flamers!
Old guy in the green sweater at 1:25. 😂😂
The last one sends shivers down my spine.
Does not get better than the 17th hole at TPC sawgrass.
FIRST, I'm pretty sure the Pete dude at 8 is Shooter McGavin from Happy Gilmore. SECOND, man I will never get enough of Tiger raising the roof after the hole in one in Phoenix.
I get goosebumps every time
2:23 when you want to go to film school but you can only film golf.
Fuzzy hole in one is amazing
How does a David Toms' 5-wood ace in a major that he won not make #1, or even the top ten. Bad call.
Whoever runs the us navy RUclips channel has a lot of time on their hands
@@boblandiafounder deadass 😂😂
This is excluding majors
Fam is this what you guys are doing instead of helping America
The black and white video is crazy to watch
I love the video of tiger. He has no idea he is about to change the world of golf...
I love the guy who made the hole in one at this year us open at olympic club and when he threw his club into the bush.
It's Tiger, and it's the 16th at Scottsdale, which is built up like a stadium to seat 20,000 people. I agree though, it's debatable.
him throwing the ball to the crowd was rad
Been playing golf for 20 years and have never really come close to an ace. The closest I got to one...my ball landed about 4 feet past the pin, it spun back, hit the flag stick and ended up 6 feet away.
High fives by pro golfers should be illegal, it never goes right.
should be a 2 shot penalty
Why? I don't know much about golf is it bad?
xWhispy Plays he means that 5 irons never goes to the right
They gotta add Matt Kuchar 2017 hole 15 Masters after this
awesome!
Has Tiger played in Scottsdale since his hole-in-one in 97?
5:55 the awkward high five miss
Legendary
good aces.

I've holed in one 4 times in my life. twice in one day once. Had to buy a lot of drinks. Always throw your 1's to the crowd its good luck
like in #10 when you hit another ball and this one goes straight into the hole, is that a hole-in-one for the other player?
It would be a hole-in-one for the person who hits the ball if there ball hits an object (or another ball) and goes in.. If the person's ball is already on the green and something happens to it (gets knocked off the green or knocked in the hole) it is placed back where it was.

What about the 5-wood that David Toms hit at the 2001 PGA Championship?. That should be there.
I was also thinking about Tom's shot. It should have been in there somewhere.
Is a hole in one techincally a trickshot, also TW dominating and love the music.
What was the context to the last hole, the one with tiger? Did he already win or something? (Why would they cheer?)
God I miss young Tiger. He got me back into golf in my teens.
Wonderful
#2, a hole-in-one at a playoff. That must have been one of the best moments in his life.
He hit a walk off hole in one
hey,%yo! outstanding performapce. giant equable what do you thlnk? !
It usually depends on the situation. Take #1 for example, Tiger's opponent hit it about 1 and half foot from the hole. They said Tiger wouldn't get inside that. But not only did he get inside that, he got inside the hole.
I remember watching that one live on t.v. I was like, "damn, that balls going fast. Hit the pin!"
@brendomatic1 it's because of where it took place. #16 at scottsdale may be the hardest par 3 in golf as far as focus goes, next to #17 at sawgrass that is. par 3 176 yards at bethpage, and 145 yards at mountauk downs
I am here because the straight-in ace of Joaquin Niemann!
A tallant I will never have. Well, as long as I haven't tried golf yet.
That's my new years resolution for next year. I Have to try gold.
I've only played Wii Sport - Golf, and it's all the same now...
I was at this event! I saw it too!
The most amazing thing on that video for me was the announcer saying "202 yard par 3 with a 6 iron"
Watching this is great, especially after last weekend. #10 - new sport - snooker billiards!
3:00 Rich Beem ( Nissan made this a commercial )
Tiger Woods is the most likable man to ever play the game of Golf. So fun to watch.
Talk about a hole in one!
5:51 windmill pump!! yeaah buddy
10 SHOULD BE #1 10 SHOULD BE #1 10 SHOULD BE #1

was Tiger "raising the roof" in that last one??!?
5:34 - Back when Tiger did the windup fist pump and one handed roof raise.
If any brits had done that we would have had a cup of tea !!!
How can tiger see the ball at 5:36 ?? :-D
Golf is cool and all but Tiger Woods made it more enjoyable to watch
Nobody swings sweeter than Freddie =))
When he said 2 iron i dropped my jaw to the floor i can't even hit a 4 iron let alone a hole in 1
I have a question... the first one... if the ball that was hit went in... is that also considered an ace?
Yes, almost happened at the Masters this year.
No. That ball would have to be replaced.
+Ruruja no it would have been replaced as said above
This was a great vid and all. But you need to check out NFL greatest. FOOTBALL !!
I went back to see if anyone beat woods’ 202 yard length and not a one.wait...50 years ago the barber dude did. Tigers once in a lifetime shot. At 20? 22? Impressive
Can Tiger duplicate '97 in '15 ??
Jerry Barber: 222 yards - 2 iron
Tiger Woods: 202 yards - 6 iron
The equipment sure has changed hasn't it?
Number 10 is why you gotta put the marker down and move your ball.
Justin Timberlake really hoped for that a 5:27. lol
And after that Hole in One, Tiger made numerous holes in one that night.
Woods has had 10 more hole in ones since then.
#5 Rich Beem at 2007 Nissan Open. I WAS THERE!!
How does Acing a playoff hole FTW come second to a mid-3rd round shot?
What is so great about number 6?
I remover watching woods ace that hole and thinking “he won’t be around for long” 😬😬😬😬
Was Tiger raising the roof at the end there? I believe he was.
Can't believe you left out Fuzzy Zoeller's hole in one on youtube in 2007. His was best of all since it looked initially that his ball stopped above the hole, and then, a little at a time, the ball started to pick up speed and backed down the hill into the hole!!!
Shared custody of that car in the first video since the other guys ball assisted in his ace. lol.
Why did the commentator say the crowd would go nuts when Tiger hits the tee shot?
Well you don't have to worry about being severely disappointed because you will never have that tour opportunity. Lets remind are self to be grateful.
