Just ordered a murdered out version of this last night, and it wasnt something I was looking for at all. I opened my Sezzle app last night to check out something they talked about in an email, and saw this vendor NC Blade. I went to their site, and there was this murdered out wharncliffe Malibu, and I was able to buy it with Sezzle. I never even had an interest in buying a Malibu, but this one looks sick as hell, and was able to buy it with payments over 9 months. So now its on its way to me.
That's a really nice Malibu. I'm envious.

I have two Malibu’s. 1 wharncliffe in Magnacut and one reverse tanto in 20CV. I love the style and action. Cutting performance is honestly secondary to me for this knife 😂😂

My runt 5 sucked ass fir sharpness out of the box too. It’s like they don’t care because we ain’t going to cut shit with it anyways haha. But that really was a great test. Yep the rarest and most expensive don’t always measure up. Maybe if you put an edge on yourself it might exceed top notch. But out the box kinda sucked. Awesome video nevertheless. One thing I have noticed, blades that have coating on them are not as sharp as the blades that do not. No matter what company made it.
Yes, and the coatings cause more friction when you’re slicing through material. I’m not a fan, I only have one maybe two coated blades in the collection

Not your fault at all, but I actually lost some respect for the Malibu lately. I prefer the design on the reverse tanto, and I feel like I can get better cutting results and almost the same satisfaction from too many knives that are way cheaper and definitely ones in the same price category.
Eventually, having the best button lock mechanism in the game won’t cut it (see what I did there?)
I understand that there’s a price to be paid for US manufacturing, quality materials and extremely tight tolerances, but I’d rather pay the same or less for something more exciting like the MSI (though it not likely I’d be able to score either lol)
Yeah I totally get that! The incredible action is really what makes me love the Malibu. It’s the best flipper I’ve tried, button lock or any other locking mechanism. It’s just really amazing. 🤷🏻♂️ but yeah you can get better cutters for less money for sure.
I’ve been hearing some negative things about the MSI and Stitch, apparently they have basically zero detent. Not snappy at all. That’s disappointing as hell
