After a series of dental procedures, I started to experience pain which I thought was pain in my teeth. After having several x-rays and an examination by my dentist, she suggested it might be trigeminal neuralgia. I found your video and tried the acupressure points you suggested and felt a great deal of relief! Thank you!

I too am blessed to come across your video. I have suffered every single day for the last two months with severe TN which came on suddenly when scrubbing my face one morning. I have been prescribed three different medications, one that helped (carbamazepine) but had such bad nausea side effects that I couldn't continue to take it any more. TN was affecting my chewing and I was unable to clean my teeth properly for two whole months, and even my speech would become painful. On the day I saw your video I was in so much pain just trying to dissolve and swallow my lunch. Directly after seeing your video I did the acupressure exercise on my hand and amazingly I immediately felt pain free, and have continued to be pain free for the last three days. Thank you for your wonderful help and my immense gratitude to you.

Mike, your situation is similar to mine. I actually have developed a terrible TMJ - facial pain syndrome with radiating nerve sensations/ pain over my right side of head only. Now going on for the past 4 months.
My doctor just prescribed Carbamazepine as well this week but I haven’t started it yet.
Kind of reluctant with all the side effects.
How did your pain start? Any idea?
I’m still trying to get to the bottom of how my pain started.
I’ve read a lot about the side effects of carbamazepine and the nausea and dizziness isn’t something I’m fond of. Also the thought I put that in my body as well. 😔
I also noticed quite a release in my jaw after doing this thumb accupressure point as well. Quite substantial.
Sad to hear your struggle but also nice to know it’s not just me.
I will continue with these exercises and hope it helps.

I had been suffering from facial pain after treatment for Bell's Palsy (right side and still have issues with dry eye on the same side). Your information was on point and I am going to continue with these exercises. I will also, seek more of your information to 'naturally' heal the body. I do not take any form of prescribed medicines for the pure fact that I am aware that certain methods can help the body heal itself. Janice, thank you so much for this video.
About 4 months ago I started having this pain and muscle fasciculation in my right thumb ( I’m a fysio so use that hand a lot as my dominant hand and fingers.
4 months later I am basically dealing with debilitating pain in my TMJ /jaw with face pain. Only right side.
I’ve been back and forth to many specialists- due to constant chronic pain the past 4 months.
Had to give up my practice as I literally don’t go out anymore. Anxiety too has set in as I was a super healthy woman hand Mom before this.
After I did this exercise ( especially with the hand) I could feel an immediate difference in my jaw.
Not even Diazapam or painkillers could do that.
I’ll continue these exercises daily. Could you recommend any other exercises or videos?
I’ll join your Facebook group as well.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Xx from The Netherlands.

My pain is cured when I started icing the area the whole side of my face where the pain is and taking a food based methylated b complex vitamin along with magnesium glycinate every day, along with giving up all processed foods, saturated and trans fats, wheat corn and soy, and sugar. If I feel a slight tinge of pain which is very rare now I ice my face with a bag of peas from my forehead to my chin right away for 3 to 5 minutes, pain gone.

Those things like brushing your teeth do not cause trigeminal neuralgia, they trigger it. Not all of us have classic blood vessel pressure on the nerve. Trigem can be caused by an accident and damage to the nerves of the face. Mine came from a botched biopsy, the surgeon nicked a nerve.

Sorry to hear that. If you are concerned it is always best to go to your doctor to check this out. Best wishes, Janice.

As often as you wish but not for too long each time as you want to avoid brusing the area.

But I’ve been using a medication called lamotrigine for few years now and has helped immensely please talk to your doctor to try it.

Think of your area of pain like a dam that's blocking the flow of water in a river. The blockage (in your body this is Qi and Blood stagnation) is what can cause pain and discomfort. Stimulation of the points is like increasing the flow of water in a river. An initial build up of pressure is needed to break through the dam (the Qi and Blood stagnation) which can feel worse until this pressure eventually breaks through the blockage. This situation is usually short-lived. Once things become more open and free-flowing then the pain or discomfort should subside. I experienced this frequently in many areas of my body when I was first in China learning Qigong. My professors told me to continue to practice as this would continue to create the conditions for free flow - and it did! 🙂
