Mr. Rock N Roll. This was transcribed in 2011. Dr. Viossey did the arrangement. Everybody that plays this (metal version) on YT does his rendition. Tina plays it much cleaner [less distortion] than the Doc. Edit: Heres the link to Dr. Viossey’s original video. She holds the pick between her thumb and index fingers and hammers with only 3 fingers. It is unimaginable the talent she has
The thing with this piece its also the length, its not just like a 1-2 minute solo with heavy shredding, no its like 6-7 minutes full power without pause.
Someone else figured it all out and posted it in a comment a long time ago. That’s why I can’t remember the exact numbers. But I know she plays 7,000 plus notes, at an average of 7.something notes a second.
More to the point, it's a good deal less repetitive than most of the music that gets played on electric guitar. Not that it doesn't re-use the same motif over and over again (it does), but it uses it in a slightly different way each time. There's no constantly repeating riff: it keeps changing. A piece like this must be at least dozens if not hundreds of times more work to learn to play, than a typical rock song of similar length.
Something contrapuntal/Baroque would be even *more* difficult, admittedly, and Renaissance polyphony might be harder yet. But still.
How can you be THAT great at anything? Absolutely incredible. I miss her so much!

This was transcribed by Dr Viossy in 2011, then Tina got a hold of it and made history. There is a split screen video of Tina and Dr. Viossy playing this and their hand movements are the same. Great reaction!
There's a guitar hero game where it shows a fret-board with notes sliding down the strings and you have to play the notes on strings when they reach the end. If you miss, it lightening strikes the note, otherwise color puffs. Someone decided to take this sound track of Tina and plug it into the guitar input, so it is playing into the game without regard to the song's timing. Then they made a video of it:

So one day she woke up, it was a perfectly normal day, and she thought to herself "Now then, what shall I do today?....I know, I'll learn Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, 3rd. movement, shouldn't be too difficult".
You're kidding but that's exactly it ! She was on school holidays and bored at home in August
I've watched countless Tina S reaction videos and the average response has been dumbfounded speechlessness. Most of the time I've had to wait a full thirty seconds after the lightning speed guitar playing ceased before the reactor came to their senses enough to say something "brilliant" like, "Jeez, that was good wasn't it?" Actually, their silence spoke more eloquently about what they experienced than words ever could.
This is what I think happens to us while watching Tina S covers. Our brains begin to roast when 450 degrees of Tina S quadruple-speed guitar virtuosity is applied to them. We have to hit the stop button every thirty seconds to allow a cooling process to take place lest our brains sizzle out of control and melt.
Tina S is performing guitar shredding impossibilities right before our very eyes. Hence, our confusion. Tina S, in our minds, is just too dang young to be playing that good! The average person can't swallow the theory that practice alone got her to that level of amazingness. A gift from God? Probably. At least that's my view.
There have been two good Tina S reaction responses that caught my eye.
1. I think the "S" in Tina S stands for SPED UP!
2. "Watching Tina S play should be the easy part and her playing should be the hard part. But my experience was that watching her was the hard part because her playing appeared to be the easy part."
Weird. But true.
Afterthoughts.
Tina has been negatively accused of being emotionless while playing. Granted, she doesn't gush with emotion like your average rock guitarist but here are three reasons why she acts that way.
REASON 1. Tina S is NOT a rock guitarist. She's a classically trained guitarist. Notice how she has her guitar propped up on her left leg. Classical guitar style all the way. Classical guitarists are prim and proper and subdued on stage. Tina is probably mimicking the great classical guitarist Segovia's expression while playing not Angus Young's. By the way, Tina IS expressing emotion, it's literally pouring out of her instrument.
REASON 2. Tina is not performing on a rock stage with 30,000 lunatic fans expecting guitar virtuosity and gobs of emotion. She is performing in a simple studio with one cameraman as her audience. She doesn't need to perform rock star stunts like playing the guitar with her teeth, or setting it on fire, or biting off the heads of bats. She's just playing the damn thing! Better than anyone that I've ever seen.
REASON 3. The third reason why Tina isn't showing emotion is because what she's doing is easy. Yes, easy. How much emotion do you show while tying your shoe laces? Zero. Right? Why? Because tying your shoes is easy. You don't grimace and squint and bite your lower lip while tying your shoes because you don't need to and it would be weird if you did. Tina doesn't grimace and squint and bite her lower lip while shredding the guitar because she doesn't need to.
The end.
I absolutely love this video for two reasons. Firstly, Tina is simply extraordinary - that's coming from a lead guitar player who played Malmsteen, Eddie, and George Lynch for more years than I care to say - Millions of hours of practice, it seemed. Secondly, this guy is so entertaining. His reaction to Tina's playing is reminds me of when I first heard her play. Mr. Rock N Roll is priceless. Sooooooo entertaining!!!

The only thing that I've seen that could come close to how difficult this was is "Knapsack" by Steve Vai, playing an entire song one handed on the guitar, especially considering that he was still recovering from shoulder surgery on his right arm & surgery on his left thumb.

By now we've all seen the commercial where slash is playing that famous riff from GNR and the lady says " your in" and slash replies "COOL ". That commercial should be redone with TINA s. in it, because slash or anyone else could not do this! WHAT!!!!???
I will give almost anything to know what Beethoven would have thought of this and would it have inspired him further to know what was possible regarding composition. I think back to the movie "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" when they brought Beethoven into modern California and put him in a music store with all modern instruments. Short story, he went nuts. Just a tiny little critique: Do you think you could turn up the volume of your voice especially in comparison to the music? The difference is rather huge and while I don't mind loud music at all (that's what we're all here for ;D), at least to me personally it gets a bit exhausting. (I'm sensitive to when sth is TOO loud and my ears sometimes can't adapt to your low volume talking in-between music parts... I bet I'm not the only one.) Ofc I could change the volume myself all the time but tbh I'd rather focus on the reaction instead ♥ So it would be awesome if you could do sth about that in the future! Rock on!!

I admire her phrasing which is very faithful to classical tradition. It's obvious to me that she has also a classical training. Her version of Jason Becker's "Altitudes" is absolutely amazing. It's even more impressive than this is I think. And there are many more great versions she has done. I haven't heard anything mediocre from her.

Moonlight sonata is a solo piano piece. There is no orchestra.. so not sure what you were listening to :) haha. I wanna recommend this violin piece btw I think it’s amazing to react to: Ysaye performed by maxim vengerov . It’s about 6 mins long.

How much work? From what I recall it's north of 2700 notes - and she's not missing one (muscle memory is key one has to have...)
I think when you reach her level there's a straight pathway between hearing it in the mind and the fingers playing it, without a whole lot of conscious thought in between. "Playing by ear" to the nth power
