    It's nice that a lady of classical music makes her comments.
    I am of the opinion that she does the taping with at least 3 if not 4 fingers.
    How her fingers gently glide over the strings.
    She taps with her right finger as if it were a piano. Absolutely fantastic

  • @gregoryjamessnayer7271
    @gregoryjamessnayer7271 20 дней назад +1

    I want to start off by saying that we all should praise Dr Viossy for scoring this Sonata for pianoforte. What he did, was to bring every single musician to the table discussing Beethoven's influence not just on your ordinary classical scene, but also how so many composers of especially Rock music, knowingly or unknowingly, reflect his (Beethoven's) style. Hence the fact that many "classically" trained musicians would say that 'Beethoven would love this'.
    Then..
    This was the last of the set of covers by Tina recorded at the age of 17 in 2016. Not only did she master this piece, it is the way she performance this and all of her other covers. All the necessary intricacies and details of this piece are clearly heard and perfectly executed as only the true masters can. [There's a video, synchronized, showing both the composer, Dr Viossy and Tina playing this piece.] Viossy didn't miss a thing of the original piano version when he wrote it, including passing notes,trillls, and many more.
    For a person as young as Tina to have captured all of the above so perfectly is a display of the level of her gift - her God-given insight into everything that seems even impossible for us to understand! Her intake and execution of every single cover that she does is way beyond anyone I know, and especially at her age, still has to be born!
    Of the original set, Tina did also Ingwie's "Arpeggios from hell", and some snatches of Panini and Vivaldi.
    Enjoy also "Through the fire and flames" by Dragon Force, Steve Vai's "For the love of God" Altitude by Jason Becker, Gary Moore's "The Loner" and more.
    Thank you for your reaction and for having someone with you who really knows this piece. She was listening specifically and intensely for those tiny little details. However, she agrees that Tina cannot be flawed on any!
    A reaction really well done and with respect for our lovely guitarist, Tina Setkic. Thank you.

    Yo!, hoho... hey Nikki's pretty cool. Tina's left hand is astounding when she jumps to a fret position on the neck from so far away so precisely and so quickly, absolute control! Also her right hand when picking is basically a relaxed fist, barely moving, so precise!
    And of course the transcription/arrangement is fantastic. So to practice this she must have drilled at more difficult exercises or faster tempo so that she can do this piece so very relaxed with no errors, yes?

      Shouldn’t she play the melody at the speed it’s meant to be played? She didn’t write this……until we see her own writing there’s no way of knowing what her maturity level is or how many notes a minute is her preferred amount….what we know is that this piece required very quick precision and she delivered it flawlessly. Not all music should be relaxing or joyful….all emotions are valid imo. Have a great day, thanks for your thoughts. ✌️

    • @FretsOnFire

      Tell that to Itzhak Perlman! That's a rock/blues mindset. In classical music, you play whatever is required, whether it's blindingly fast and passionate, or slow with gravitas. Or anything in between. I've always found it frustrating that rock and blues guitarists rationalize not having great technique with the idea of having feel instead. It's not supposed to be either or, it's supposed to be both. I don't think Itzhak plays Paganini or Saint-Saens slower, now that he's getting old...

    • @sammyjones3500
      @sammyjones3500 20 дней назад +1

      @@FretsOnFire I've been misinterpreted. Nothing to do with altering a piece. I guess it's more telling with the fiddle, the more skilled the violinist the faster they can play. As if faster is better. Showcases talent better but is stressful for me to hear it. I like sweet dulcid tones that take me to a better place. Not a firey hot hell with the devil shredding an instrument. Maturity is age for me. Mellow with age. Taking your time. Like I said I've been misinterpreted. Oh Paganini mixes it with a passion. Great to watch a Paganini passionate performance. Riveting stuff ! Give the girl more passion I say !!! Vary the performance, maybe she will 'get it' and change as she matures ! Or give it up !! Not working for her.

    • @FretsOnFire
      @FretsOnFire 20 дней назад

      Faster isn't better, it simply was a requirement of any musician in the past to be able to play whatever was written. So if something was going to be fast, it was up to the composer. My point is that rock and blues guitarists have traditionally eschewed real technique, such as is seen in classical music and the majority of jazz players. So that when a rock guitar player shows up who has true technique, many others bash him or her, because the traditional rock they are used to hearing is solely pentatonic based and lacking in classical technique. This is interpreted as "feeling*, but no music has more emotion and feeling than classical music! I really don't think it's a matter of maturity, as I said Itzhak Perlman is not going to slow down just because he's older and more mature. He's playing the pieces as written! I think you're really just telling us your personal taste, for more peaceful and placid music. Personally I love all types of music - as long as it's done well, it can be fast and frenetic, or peaceful and tranquil. Life contains all those things, so why shouldn't music?

    • @sammyjones3500
      @sammyjones3500 19 дней назад

      @@FretsOnFire Of course you pursue your own career and likes. If popularity was your goal then that can be deduced from utube vids, likes and comments alone as I use. If Tina pulls ahead of Mike Dawes in views and likes then that would be a consideration for me. Oh I do like rock and some heavy stuff too. I love Oddko, I just don't like what Tina is playing here. Kind of cold and soulless like a lost soul crying out. Short and sweet, just a personal opinion. But maybe a general opinion too. I'm just suggesting other songs than this one would tick more boxes. Frenetic energy and styles like a Flamenco are great too.Not speed by itself. Maybe I have no place to put my preferences on here. Maybe that's the issue? Maybe if this talent was joined up in a rock band the drums and bass would make it scintillate. More my thing. It seems a little too empty as a solo performance. I see another suggests her Vivaldi tribute, as well or if not better. Stunning !!! I'm suggesting better. What's here is less mainstream. "devilish"? Even the Devil went down to Georgia has something this is lacking. Paganini was associated with the Devil, but was his style that dark? Getting off topic so I will leave it there!

    I prefer music with passion and feeling rather than monotone loud noisy passionless guitar.
    What she performed is technically great...but lacked passionate feelings generated that is normally felt in just the first 45 seconds of Moonlight Sonata.
