    back in the mid seventys . a friend came over and told my wife and me he had found a neat swimming hole. it was almost dark , when we got there we used the headlights to swim in mckinney falls. this was before it was a park mind you.. had a good time that night. went back a day or so later during the day to swim again. when we got there and could see the water and rocks better. we were shocked to also see it was full of water snakes. dont know if it was cotton mouths or what. we left and didnt ever go back. lucky i guess. it is on onion creek. know by locals as cotton mouth creek. be aware if you go please.
