Able to turn the Captions to OFF, that part works, but once I go back to the news channel that had the Unwanted captions they are still there! Tried this repeatedly and still unable to turn off captions! UGH

Mine won’t turn it off. Driving me crazy. All channels are subtitle free except a news channel we watch and we can’t turn them off. I’m tempted to Chuck the stick away and buy a new one. Any help much appreciated

Video seemed so promising, so clear -- but I did everything (several times) and still can't get subtitles on PBS Passport. They were there originally, but disappeared one day and I can't get them back!

Same here. We've had our Fire TV for a while and my wife wanted to turn closed captioning on, I found where to turn it on and off, but I guess our TV does not support closed captioning.

You did not demonstrate how to turn CC off. I turn CC off and it is still on. How do you return from CC off? There is no option after CC is off and you're video did not explain that feature.

Mine says SUBTITLE instead of CLOSED CAPTIONING You turn it off and then exit by the back up button or home button. When you go back into Accessibility it has turned itself back on!!!
What a waste of time this video is. 😡
