Great Video as ever Tanya - I noticed when you were talking about removing unused Apps you simply deleted them - I 've always cleared Cache and Data before deleting an App so do you not have to do that?
No, that's something that I have never done. However, when apps get deleted, they can sometimes leave behind data, irrelevant of if you clear the cache/data before uninstalling them. I always use X-plore to take a look at data on my Firestick and delete anything that is no longer needed - as demonstrated in this video - ruclips.net/video/95i7twf0HeQ/видео.html I hope this helps. I’m going to watch ur video thru soon.(just watching something at mo).But do u happen to know what to do when itv & ch.4(basic channels) are suddenly cutting out? The screen keeps going grey & blank in the middle of watching something on bbc,itv,ch.4.I’ve tried to delete stuff to create memory storage,as I thought this may be the problem.But web got another show on now & it’s still going to a blank screen. I have a question. I have a 2nd, maybe 1st Gen firestick and I lost the remote and it's not on the main screen. How do I go about setting it back to factory settings?
You can try utilizing the HDMI-CEC function on your TV to see if you can get your TVs remote control to work the Firestick.
HDMI-CEC allows devices connected to your TV through HDMI ports to communicate with your TV. This means that with this feature turned on, you may be able to control your Firestick through your TV remote.
Some TV manufacturers may not call this feature HDMI-CEC, it could be called SimpLink, EZ-Sync, EasyLink.
This option can be found in your TV’s menu, options or settings. If you can’t find it, try searching the web for the model of your TV and “enable HDMI-CEC.”
If all else fails & your remote still won’t work, then it unfortunately looks like you’ll have to try and borrow a Fire TV remote from friends/family buy a new one.

Hi, I can't get sports surge to work anymore. You can pick a game and a stream and when you go that stream you a black box like normal but there is no arrow to start viewing. I have tried several streams and all the same thing. Is there another website or app to use? Please help.

Tanya every time I add otg cable and plug usb boot loop starts but as soon as I unplug the usb from the cable it boots as normal any fixes you can think of please?

I have my fire stick hanging below the tv as I feel that the internet signal is not able to access tight areas behind the wall mounted tv.. this appears to also be a problem solver (although this action may upset the OCD affected folk among us) I do occasionally have the odd problem but I put this down to my fire stick being female 😋 many thanks for your video and your time in putting it together Tanya, plenty of helpful tips 😊👍

today 17-01-2024....time 808.......i factory reset my firestick many times ...just to see if it will work better ...no....still keeps stoping ...and freezing ....when i first bought the 4k firestick 3 yrs ago it was perfect now i dont understand why ... cannot watch something with out having to restart all the time ...sucks..
Does this only happen when streaming from apps? If so, you may want to think about restarting your router.
Have you moved your router recently? Changed its location? Changed internet provider?
@@FireTVSticks....THANK YOU ..... router is one foot away from tv ...which the FireSTick .is plugin to ....yes i always restart both firestick and route...even un plug the firestick from the tv.sometime... then would work for a while then back to square one .lol...oh......i also have a T95 ANDRIOD BOX...WHICH WORKS PERFECT......JUST SAYING I DONT KNOW WHAT AMAZON HAS DONE TO THE FIRESTICK ..

Hi, first keep up the good work, I had the blocker on my firestick so it wouldn't update but I've took it off and it still won't update, it is stuck on os 6.2.7.7 and won't go past that, I've been trying for about 5 weeks but nothing, have you or anyone any ideas, cheers
Sorry, I do not recommend the blocker or removing bloatware as it can have negative affects on your Firestick. As this is not something I have videos on, and neither have I used the blocker, I recommend going back to the person that showed how to use the blocker for further support. Older stick that just keeps supposedly updating, but never gets there. Amazon flashes on screen and then starts updating again over and over. Tried different tv's, same problem. The famous unplug trick as well. One thing I haven't tried is a different USB cable. Should be able to find in my mass of cables and give it a try..
Power cable and plugging into the power supply with official power adapter should do the trick, depending on the age of the Firestick. Do you know which Firestick you have? Thank you for watching 😊👍❤️

To prevent heating issues buy a HDMI splitter, plug the stick into the splitter, then run a HDMI cable from the splitter to the tv. My splitter is about a foot below the tv on a separate open air shelf and the stick never gets hot.

I'm having an issue you may be able to enlighten me on - at least I hope so. Do to uncorrectable boot loops, I'm on my 3rd firestick. Turns out it was the initial power supply I purchased for my external drive that was causing the issue. New power supply. Problem solved. Buy a new problem has reared it's ugly head. First I noticed my CenimaHD no longer worked, keep getting "not on your Google account", or as late just a black screen. Secondly the firestick does show apps that are installed on the external drive, but won't launch them from the home screen. I have to go into apps to launch. Mind you, I made no changes to my firestick, only replaced the power supply.
What do you do when you can't to settings or any other screen because your stuck in fire tv boot loop?
