I'm curious why people think AK's are heavy in their base form. A standard AKM is maybe 6.8 lbs. Some of the Primary Arms models come quite heavy though...

It’s a prism that changes the image through your dot, basically lowering the dot a few moa so you can put the dot on center mass of your target at 300-500yds and make hits. Incredible piece of an equipment for a carbine, but quite expensive. It’s called an Alpha Tarac.
Why is the unity tactical fast mount mounted backwards? The optic is facing the correct direction, but the mount is not. The internal iron sights don't work that way, are you moonlighting as a U.S. Navy Captain?
They're great for nods. Unless you also add a FTC magnifier, which will prevent you from having a good time shooting passive with nods. Brassfacts did a little video about this, it's mildly amusing to see someone else aggravate themselves whacking their NV on the magnifier. Also, it sucks ass trying to get behind any magnifier at that height without a cheek riser.
@@NotTarget What's the point of a FTC mount if you still need to take it off the rifle when not using it? At that point, a FTS mount makes more sense. Or better yet, a cheaper, fixed height QD mount that you pop on or off as necessary, removing that weight from the rifle altogether when not in use. They also RTZ better than flipping mounts, so your dot remains in the center of the optic.

@@coolbreeze2.0-mortemadfasc13 For a rifle that short, I personally wouldn’t use the magnifier but I do understand having it, the point of aim adjuster is pointless when having the magnifier, that bulky suppressor cover is putting way to much weight on the front which is throwing off the balance(stick to something like a BPG), the laser box is only helpful if running NVGs so if you don’t have that then don’t get the laser. Also, good luck even using that laser with your hand being in front of the emitter to turn it on. The risers also just destroy all concept of bullet impact prediction with the absolute insane height over bore going on there. No cheek weld which decreases accuracy and more thinking is required to account for bullet drop.
