Love how everyone gives him shit for doing what every other guy wishes they were doing. Practice tac drills and makin money at it. Even a few the military vet channels give him a hard time for following their advice. He may look like what would/could be considered "dorky", but ill bet he's a nice guy unlike the negitive commenting assholes I see everywhere his video's comments.
Giving attention to counter productive posts about a post shows you who you shouldn’t pay attention to. One of this videos too comments is people crying about people crying. When JW3 came out that year i learned how to quad load just for the fun of it. I found when i seriously started using shotguns in training, competition style dual and quad loading as well as the use of a matchsaver is absolutely worth putting some effort into learning. It’s not just a cooling looking reload, but functionally the best think you can do for yourself if you plan on training with a shotgun
Why isn't aimbotkin using competition reloading style? Not just the lack of quad or dual loading, but he is loading from the bottom instead of flipping so he isn't also fighting gravity. It makes no sense. Is he trying to be a noob?
I wanna see more attempts with this shotgun. I feel like this one emphasized knowing your equipment is very important and how you’ve oriented things on your loadout. I have, what others may deem, an unconventional AK reload but I’ve never had it fail on me. Friends would load their mags and leave them in the pouches, bullet down, to have it be easier to grab and flip the old mag out with the standard mag to lever reload. I have my mags bullet up so the bullets don’t get snagged on the pitches coming out when moving fast. I grab the top and use the bottom of the mag to flip the lever and detach the old mag. Keeps everything tighter too.
When I got into guns(1st was an 1891/30 mowing, then Glock 17 g4, then a moss berg 590a1 then ARs. Honestly, that progression(and craptons of shells/cartridges taught me stuffs. 1st reloads are more important than you think(balance of power to cartridge capacity). Shotguns are my go to after a well setup rifle. But with great power comes great necessity to feed the weapon. Shotguns are only as useful as the users reloading skill. This video is a perfect exemplification of this principle value to shotgunners. When you suck you learn what you are in need of practice. 🍻
Watching this video. Why aren't mag fed shotguns more popular? I mean shotguns suck for most things. But at least with a mag your not dieing 5 times while you reload. Watching most reload a shotgun is like watching a car crash in slow motion. Just stresses me out even watching. I keep wanting to grab one of those bullpup, semi autos in 12ga. But then I think "at that price umpteen guys must have tried to make these work better than a traditional semi auto, in a tactical situation?! There must be something wrong with them?!" And I don't buy one. But watching Lucas reload in this video brings that same thought back to my head. (Ah! That time it takes to shove each one in! Makes it hard to breathe. I know you can speed load additional rounds. But even then. The difference between loading a 5rd mag and loading 5 loose shells seems like it's got to be wide. Not to mention failure rates.) I kind of see shotguns as a stationary home defense tool. If you agreed with that? Why wouldn't a mag fed bullpup be better? I guess I'm gonna have to spend $200 and find out. Lol
Rimmed cartridges with no consistency in length, weight, and to some degree shape are extremely difficult to get to work with a magazine well. The *only* mag fed shotguns known to work reliability are the VEPR12 and the Genesis 12, but those are a far cry from $200.
Magazines introduce a variable to shotguns systems reliability wise. The shape and design of shot shells don't lend themselves to being cycled. The pump shotgun itself was a huge leap forward that turned out to be THE reliable way to cycle shells, when the alternative was a break action where the shell never has to move.
AH the ole COD 4 special 😅here I am nostalgic over video games again in your guys shorts lol I will say much less frustrating to reload when you only have to hit X/Square on a controller, or E/F on a keyboard 😂
Have you ever considered the load 4 weak hand reload? It's a pretty good option for an emergency reload vs the velcro swaps/elastic, I feel like its kind of slept on since quad loading took over competition shooting
Get your head down, you have your head above the roof line of the vehicle and you're standing behind the glass which is not going to protect you at all and your feet are targets also for rounds skipping under the vehicle so you go to the front and you get down behind the engine block to protect yourself while you reload. When the scattergun runs dry drop it and go to your slung M4 or your sidearm you are in very serious danger when it takes you that long to reload a shotgun and you need to be keeping your eyes open while you're doing it for people that are advancing on your position. Can you do incorporate paintball attacks from the forward flanks. You would learn to keep your head down and get behind cover while you're reloading real quick. The best course of action in CQB is to go to your sidearm when your primary long gun runs dry. In a couple weeks I could have you on track to being an effective operator. Tactical Mind Set and train, train, train. NMT = Need More Training
Better to practice and have real time data. Imagine having to use this for the first time getting surrounded and you get got because you never thought reloading was like this in real life
@Gigachad_97 I usually just flip it upside down and hold it between my legs. Then I alternate hands shoving the shells in. Double the hands, double the speed
Shotguns arent meant to be reloaded imo. They are meant to dump their load and be dropped. If a defensive deployment, you would have shotguns preplaced to overlook fatal funnels where you would dump all of your round and just drop the shotgun while you retreat to a hard point and rearm. This is a big reason I like magazine fed shotguns, I just have a drum mag on it in the safe by my front door.
No thanks, I’ll stick to standard rifle platforms. It’s a nice shotgun but let’s be real, against any enemy worth their salt…. You’re more than likely gonna die with that shotgun in your hands
Lucas hopefully you see this comment. I’m an expert with shotgun. Move your handgun to appendix carry and carry your shells on your belt it will allow you to carry more and reload quicker. Also reload whenever you move. You should never need to reload more than 2or 3 shells. Keep up the training.
An expert would never recommend carrying a pistol appendix with a combat load out. You run shells on the front of your carrier and keep your pistol where it's supposed to be.
Yes an expert would recommend that. Carrying shells on a plate carrier is slow and you can’t carry that many. Move them to the belt now you have a lot of options for pouches and carriers to choose from. I can carry 36 shells just on the left side of my belt. Then i can double that if I include the right side or I can use the right side for different tools. As for the plate carrier I prefer to put grenades because you just can’t fit that many shells in a nice way. I’m not some keyboard warrior. I’m a Master gunsmith and firearms instructor with 23 years of experience and thousands of hours of force on force training. And shotguns just happened to be my expertise.
@Ghost51497 you NEVER carry a pistol appendix with combat load outs. This is literally day one stuff. I can fit 36 shells on a plate carrier no problem and still carry my pistol on my hip where it's supposed to be. If you actually are what you claim I really hope you're not telling people to carry appendix with a plate carrier. Not only does it screw up your mobility, you can't draw appendix quickly with a plate carrier and pouches. Again, this is day one stuff.
My brother in christ, you flip the shotgun over and run shells on your vest if you wanna reload quickly. Double loading isnt hard at all i have fsith in you.
1. You got to master the dual load first. 2. Looking at the m1014, the loading port is standard factory-made, meaning it's harder to . This means you need a modified loading port to do this 3. You have to have a special Competitional caddy to make it make it easier to grab .However, it is not recommended not to use in real-life situations since one trip or fall will be at great cost of shells since it can easily pop off. 4.(Optional) Syringe Load can be a good option than quad loading, which does require a special mod to do that.
Reloading is a pain on this one indeed.
When you’re hiding behind a truck, you actually need to duck.
Gotta duck down by the engine block. The doors and frame will not protect you from gunfire
I love the honesty on the reload. Humility is a beautiful thing man.

Haters gone hate
The 2A/CivDef industry wouldn’t be the same without this dude.
exaclty, hes doing what we all love and getting paid to do it.
Except he’s a gate keeper to the 2A community. End of the day, everyone’s a loot drop.

Found Lucas's kryptonite finally,... he still did better than I would've😅
If Lucas was shooting spitwads through a plastic straw, he’d have an EoTech on it.

Shotgun cards in 556 mag carriers are quite a bit more convenient IMO. Empty the one on the gun, strip it off, slap a new one on.
Wow that's actually quite smart. Would've never thought of that!
After seeing Lucas blaze in every video, it was great seeing him in the struggle phase. Everyone has to train, everyone has weak spots.
When you need something for the end of the night. Something big, bold 😅
Dang it McLovin, we got to get you quad loading
Reloading shotgun is a pain. Getting a match saver is a learning curve.
I'd get a larger charging handle
Practice makes prefect.i respect your honesty.
The two point sling really gets in the way as well. Good practice though. Love the benelli
Good shit Lucas. Shotguns are hard. A thunder ranch X T.Rex arms cross over video would be awesome. Need James Reeves to narrate that
Add Steve fisher
Eotech on a shotgun is crazy… yet beautiful
Shells are loaded correctly , brass to the grass . You turn the magwell up so you can make faster reloads .

Awesome Lucas. Do it with the beretta 1301 mod 2 with lift gate, bet that would make a huge difference plus button is bigger too

You know there are shotguns whit mags .....

One of the major gripes about tube fed SGs is the deal breaker for me, and that's reloading time smh
AH the ole COD 4 special 😅here I am nostalgic over video games again in your guys shorts lol I will say much less frustrating to reload when you only have to hit X/Square on a controller, or E/F on a keyboard 😂
can we get a full video?
Good practicing man. Need to run some drills with my 1301 and m1014
Folks are forgetting you can switch to a pistol if you are rushed in cover while reloading.
Shotguns are cool, own two of them, but man they really do seem impractical for many situations
Great job man
Ichabod skips leg day (meant as an encouragement).
Humbling experiences make you grow👍😅
Absolutely loved this gun in John Wick 2 and he was reloading so fast 😂
Yeah thats a movie and he wasnt shooting live rounds. You can actually watch how they made those scenes
Have you ever considered the load 4 weak hand reload? It's a pretty good option for an emergency reload vs the velcro swaps/elastic, I feel like its kind of slept on since quad loading took over competition shooting

I might suggest taking some cover behind that car (not that they offer much protection) when reloading.
Hermosísima arma excelente tirador. ¡Felicitaciones!
I highly advise limiting shotgun drills to trench combat, or breaching. Run and gun is not something for a shotgun.
Double feed those shells bro!!!
That is why shotgun drill is hard
Shotgun: If you are not shooting you are reloading.
Looks like AliExpress John Wick
The joys of a shotgunner!! Lol 😂
I would love to have a range like this to train in but there’s none close to me
Great training as usual but practice getting behind cover too while you reload no?
I saw that too, maybe this was just a preamble to a future training campaign
@@rednew8222it’s a shooting drill. Not a tactics drill
That’s why the military uses rifle teams, not shotgun teams. Shotgun is great for support but not for mainline.
He’s not military
@@joshm1079fr imagine he only shot once a year for qualifying 😂😂
Met an ole boy down in FL, served in nam. They give him a m 16 he couldn't wait to get rid of it and get a shot gun
@@sandflea2424🤣
1301 all day over that pole. You loading that shotgun like tampon Tim😮
😂
Deserves a like for sure. 😂
All this training just to shit the bed when things go bad for real😂
TTI and other companies can open up the magwell a lil more if you're willing
Constantly have to decide when to feed the beast. Shotguns are great, but they need a ton of practice.
Could you do multi loading, i mean "quad loading " ?
Like a skyscraper
Shotguns are vastly different than ar’s and pistols… nice run… (try this with a pump)
What's the shell holder has has attached to it?
To be fair to the shotgun, you were loading that poor thing in quite an interesting way
Yeah I thought so too, I definitely prefer the violin reload
@Gigachad_97 I usually just flip it upside down and hold it between my legs. Then I alternate hands shoving the shells in. Double the hands, double the speed
@ I would LOVE to see that done in a professional course or competition just for shits and giggles
it'll be great if they made it with normal magazine, faster on reload.
Shotguns are great until there empty
why not making a new and faster reload Mag for shotguns . maybe a chain or a belt reload . just a thought
Now imagine using five round mags that you could swap quickly
What are the chest mounted shell carriers?
Have someone set up the course for you do it at night? You have no idea what the course is or looks like using night vision.
Violin sling it will make reloads easier, my guy
No quad loading?
That sling is getting in the way! Anything with a pump should have a single point.
This isn’t a pump gun, the M4 is semiautomatic.
I still prefer single points on shoguns because the reloads require so much fine motor skill.
Better than I can do for the people that can run shotguns fast I hope there on my team 😂
Wish they actually trained the police like this instead of crying
Anyone know what forend he has on it? I want to swap my plastic one but need more options than the mesa tactical one.
I don't know much about shotguns but isnt there a device that aids in loading multiple shells at one time
I’ve found that double loading is way easier
Love you!
Still faster than most

Non dominant hand without roll is unfortunately slower. Always will be.
I think this time you should learn reloading shotgun from lena miculek...
No thanks, I’ll stick to standard rifle platforms. It’s a nice shotgun but let’s be real, against any enemy worth their salt…. You’re more than likely gonna die with that shotgun in your hands
C’est quoi ce reload derrière une bagnole à découvert 😂
If it’s not for home it has to be mag fed
Oh man , its hard😅

@Ghost51497 also, right handed shooters speed reload with their RIGHT HAND. lying on the internet isnt cool buddy.
@Ghost51497 also, literally laughing out loud at the "i carry grenades on my plate carrier." Just stop, man.
I mean, it's not designed for speed reload 😂
Time to start practicing 3 gun
Why not take a knee while reloading?
Pombpei new Word pombpei
No John wick reload there eh
Shouldn’t you be ducking when reloading?
In the words of Lucas,if you suck you suck 😂
No, but for real, it’s just training if he trained, he’d be faster, faster.
Why hasn't someone come up with an easier way for reloading these yet lol there has to be a better way 🤔
