  • Since all replacement filter pump motors are sent out wired for high voltage application, Senior Technical Trainer Scott Hughes demonstrates how to change the motor wiring from high voltage to low voltage. This process is needed when a new filter pump motor is going to be installed on a low voltage application such as 120vac power supply.

New motors always come wired for high voltage (208/240). Check your wiring on your motor to make sure it is set up for the voltage source you have. Please see the video link below. Also, you could have a restriction in your plumbing lines. You can reach out to Tech Support for further assistance if needed. (800) 417-8405

Seen as the filter pump doesn't run all day long, I can't see what this will actually benefit anything. .🤔( EXPLAIN)

      Hi Nomad,
It is very important that the motor is wired correctly. If a unit is a 120vac unit and a new motor is installed, wired for 208vac, then the performance of that motor will be insufficient and the customer will see very slow refill times. This can also cause premature motor failure as well in some cases. Thanks
