Nice comparison as always. With further tuning 5950x should easily close the gap and gain more in lows. i9 also does 2-4% better at 5.2GHz. I wonder how much slower 5800x would be here... 9900KS is extremely impressive for its age, especially with all that snappiness and low latency talk happening
I also thought you'd also include my fresher AC Mirage run which got me now 152 instead of 144. And I wish there were TLOU and Plague Tale. But whatever, that's still so many games in one video ;)

9900K no oc is quite slower than 9900k. 5ghz on 9900k with 4266 mhz is quite an overclock. I had 9900k earlier on cheaper z370 board it did 5ghz but memory max I can take was 3800 mhz. Stock 9900k is 4.7 GHZ so I dont know how much 300 mhz of oc and some memory overclock will help. Later on I shifted to 5800x. That also was able to do 3800 mhz on the same memory stick no problems at all. 5800x is slightly better for sure.

@@Richdadful 5800X 4.8ghz 3800cl14 is not better than 9900KS 5.1ghz/4.8 ring 4266cl16 in any way, worse 1% lows and a less snappy desktop I believe.
I don't understand why would anyone make such an "upgrade", 5800x3d - sure it's a beast even with no oc, but 9900K(S) to 5800X, especially with a good board/ram is very questionable. But stock for stock 9900K is a bit behind 5800X, so I guess it could make sense at a decent price
