I love seeing these videos,it makes me sad to see so many cars in the junk yard from my earlier times. I think maybe i am about junk yard worthy. Appreciate you Benny.

These old MR2s are a lot of fun with a 5 speed. The Supercharged MR2s were some of the fastest cars they sold back in the day.

Always sort of one of the Toyota MR2 they look kind of interesting looking I'm glad you open the door always was interested in seeing the layout of the interior.
Almost bet you a person could probably get that MR2 running again and get it restored.

The Fiero was a heap. You at least got Toyota reliability with these and they didn't go on fire.

Hot ticket back in the day with a stick shift.Never dug them but I was the only one.Wouldn't last a day on the lot back in 1989 when I was selling used cars down in Orlando Fl.That and the little 2 door Corolla with the same engine. They should of called the Corolla the MRS2.

I have a feeling that if it gets crushed, Wouldn't this make Toyota Jan tear up a bit as soon this gets crushed since this is a Toyota? Unless she would probably maybe feel bad that this gets Smashed and Reformed into A Couple New Tundra's, that's my theory.

Whoa Nelley, 1986 and hit the bricks. Someone I went to high school with is a manager at Toyota of Rockwall which is in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Not correct, this is a 1.6L (4AGE) engine as it's an "AW11" model. "AW10" models were 1.5L (3A-LU). MR2 stood for "Mid Ship Runabout 2 Seater" or "Mid Engine Rear Wheel Drive 2 Seater", depending on what you read. The MR2 was a nimble and fun car to drive. While not a powerhouse (unless they were the turbo charged 4AZ-GE engine models, which came out in the US market in 1986), they were fun to zip around in. I've always liked these cars. They were different, but still had basic Toyota reliability.
We got the VIN, we win: JT2 for Japanese made Toyota passenger car, AW15 for MR2 two seater with 1.6L 4AG-E engine with MFI, C is a placeholder, 4 is a check digit, G for the 1986 model year, 0 for Sagamihara, Kanagawa (Central Motors), Japan assembly and the rest is the production sequence. Central Motors operated from 1950 through 2012 and the companies that they operated under were eventually combined as "Toyota Motor East Japan". No tag, can't brag, but this should be code 3E5 Super Red exterior paint. Toyota of Irving is still in business at 1999 W Airport Freeway Irving, TX 75062.
Whoa Nelley, "Mister 2" and it's over for you. 1.6 hit the bricks. 4AG-E and it's for me. In rust we do not rust. That's it, time to quit. Super Red soon to be going to bed. Made in Japan and ready for the trash can. Going to be flat and that's that. AW11 is going to Heaven. Please don't get squished because the Toyota faithful, a few here, probably not Benny, but yup, the Google Man are going to be very, very, very, very pissed.
