One of the best songs ever recorded. I dare anyone to try and convince me otherwise! Such a visionary moment in music short films, and while it’s very ‘of it’s time’, it’s still very ahead of it’s time❤️
*EDIT* You should react to the MSG show in 2001 of this song, with Michael and his brothers reunited on stage. Utter euphoria❤️❤️

We agree, this is such a great song! Thanks for the suggestion about the MSG version. We have a lot of MJ reactions on the way but we'll add that to the list :)

Songwriters Michael & Jackie Jackson. The peacock, the bird that has all the colours when it is inlove ( MJ,s autobiography), the Hopi legend abt the rainbow people: it will come a time when a tribe of people of all colours will arrive and save humanity. I think that the video was Michael,s vision, if I'm not mistaken. It's one of my favorite songs of all time. The message, the visuals even if they are old, and Michael, s vocals, so beautiful and full of hope. Thank you a lot!

Yup, still moves me to tears... Maybe more so right now actually, with everything going on in the world. And yeah, people really don't listen..! Those comments made me giggle through the tears, thanks for that. Wonderful story about the Detroit "daily dose of Michael Jackson"!
I might be wrong here, but I'm going to proclaim this to be the first actual music shortfilm(/video, as others than MJ would call it, but, I mean, it has it's own title so fair point to MJ). With a concept, a story line and a clear start, middle and end. This was before MTV (by 5 moths, I wonder if it actually might have been an inspiration for them to create MTV?) and way before MJ smashed the color barrier of the channel. I can't find it anywhere but there's this clip from the TV show where it was first shown where the presenter re-tells how they were all like >>No, Michael we don't do music videos on this show, why would we show a music video ... over 9 minutes long?!! And Michael kept telling me just watch it before you decide. So, finally I sat down and watched and was like 🤯🤩🤯 - it completely blew me away! So here it is, by The Jacksons...>> (Completely paraphrasing from memory, here. But something like that.) Maybe someone else has the clip?
It's also cool that Taj and Tarryl Jackson plays two of the children!

Yes, that's our favorite part of it. Michael Jackson was always preaching a message of unity. We love that about him.
