Even most entry level subs only need 200 to 250 RMS so you could run some components on the front channels and a sub of the rear channels bridged. 🤷 With that said there is better amps out there for just a little over 100 bucks but I still think this is a good amp for 80 bucks.

I thought the same. Didn't really expect it to do that much power, but geesh, they broke the rules using "RMS" and leading us down a path of distruction!
I just wish manufacturers would just give you honest RMS rating even at 60x4 Bluetooth it would sell I truly don’t get why they do it?? Back when I was a teenager I would of paid 4-6times that for that wattage
That 1 Oh hundred at 2 ohms makes this amp worth the money. Seriously it's not bad for the size and actual output. I want one for my Bluetooth party box.
I remember Blaupunkt back in the 80/90s German Tech...they had some serious shyte I am talking the days of Pioneer Kex......Those silver Components Tape Deck,Eq600 TDK Chrome,Maxwell Chrome,Sony Chrome, The Days before CDs
i think it would work great for outdoor speakers on an RV using Bluetooth. Then if you wanted to watch a movie inside it would use the RCA from DVD player. Also wonder if it had same output power if using the Bluetooth.
I want to make a battery powered stereo with some of these Bluetooth amps. Decent efficiency, decent sound, super cheap. Take it anywhere, pound, don't worry so much if it gets damaged or confiscated.
If you disregard the displayed numbers and just go off of your results, 200w rms realistically, is more than enough power per speaker in most set ups, that’s if it holds up over time. If you need to power 4 speakers, buy two, and you’ll have a $160-$180 800wrms (4channels) amp. I don’t know of any 800.4 amp that you can buy for under $200. To me, even though the true power is underwhelming compared to its rated numbers, it’s still a budget gem IMO.
What you need to do is start an amp line called ‘SPEC’ using all the amps you’ve tested that test fantastic but exaggerate the output and just label them correctly or ‘to the spec’.
This was a german company in the 80s I remember our first color tv was Blaupunk and it has stereo speakers it was the Best sounding tv that time Blaupunk means bluepoint in english

Looks like a good candidate for a bluetooth ghetto blaster build for the beach, just a battery, the amp and some speakers in a box and your good to go.
I got one and was surprised that the gains will adjust the volume of the Bluetooth. I wasn't impressed until I turned them both up and got an equalizer app for the phone.
Not bad amp draw at all! I own cars all mid engine so upgrading a alternator is out of the question and blowing a alternator is a couple grand mistake... none the less, I see an amp no matter the output as long as 50+ a channel and not drawing 60 amps to full dump is gold to me!
Really missing some Bluetooth that is where android shines. Apple does not have the right codex (sp) to get the best sound. For a garage amp would be great.
By the size of it, I said 60 watts tops. It is so reminiscent of some of the old (1990s) boss amps. I don’t remember the model but they had one of that exact size and put out around 60 watts.
Review a set of Sony SSCS5 Bookshelf speakers. The cost of them has already jumped from what several of my friends got them for. I want to know your thoughts on this budget gem IMHO.

Well, it may be a great inexpensive option/candidate for your work car that’s got a broken deck that you don’t want to replace or a golfcart or a diy boombox. Hm… I’m picking one up.
In 1988, as 16 year olds, we all would have gladly put this cheap amp in our cars. We would have wired this amp up to a couple of Pyle 10” subs in a particle board enclosure. 😂
Just Picked one of these up for $60 bucks shipped from Ebay. Was missing an antenna. WHAT A SCORE! Going to see where I can put a small cooling fan inside the case with a filter, I know they are cheap. But so are those Chinese Amp boards. And this is an all in one unit that's fun to play around with.
I did purchase one.. for my audio on bike. I will admit on the 2ohm speakers it doesn't sound bad.. however Im not a sound quality professional. I dont know the difference in using the rca inputs or the high power inputs
Wouldn't be bad on something like golf cart or similar thing, seems efficient enough and the price for what you get isn't bad, hide it away and connect with Bluetooth would be ideal for such applications, the only draw back is no protection from moisture.

Thanks for testing. I like repeat watching your older videos. I like Blaupunkt, it would push 2 10s pretty decent , enough power to
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Bluetooth v5.0 has some sort of lossless modes.
Anyway, a decent amp for cheap installs.
It did bump doe...
Thumbs up for info+entertainment combo!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
I’m in the middle of installing one of these. We’ll see how it goes. Now I’m not worried about blowing up my small speakers.
Greeting from Istanbul, Turkey. Love your videos Big D , wish you a happy easter. When you have time can you test MOREL amps?
Lossless generally means that the bluetooth does not degrade the audio signal. It just means it sounds better a bit...
Good review, since its blue tooth I can install these in older cars that want to keep the stock decks and hide it in the dash, maybe attach a small ball bearing pc fan to one end for hot summers. Good enough to run some 6.5's & rear deck 6x9's! beats bidding on ebay for old school smaller amps from the 90's lol
I remember when Blaupunkt were the factory units used in porsche.
lossless probably means they had some kind of a decoding chip/function,
for transmitting and playing flac, APE and other lossless audio formats.
Yeah, that's what I'm figuring.
the price go up after this video.. ^^ greetings from germany ^^
Class d chips which has super clear sound can be used instead of irs2093 for such low power.
I was curious as well on this matter
I mean... It’s not terrible... Definitely better than I expected
Also wonder if it had same output power if using the Bluetooth.
i installed this in a 1970 car with its stock radio, hide some 6x9 in the dash, easy install, they felt short on power also
I want to make a battery powered stereo with some of these Bluetooth amps. Decent efficiency, decent sound, super cheap. Take it anywhere, pound, don't worry so much if it gets damaged or confiscated.
“RMS” ratings might suck!
So true!
This amp is perfect for my application. Just wish they did a three channel test @ 4 ohms loaded.
I just ordered this amp for my motorcycle. Powering 4 4” speakers. And maybe a subwoofer is the saddle bag. Should be good
What you need to do is start an amp line called ‘SPEC’ using all the amps you’ve tested that test fantastic but exaggerate the output and just label them correctly or ‘to the spec’.
This was a german company in the 80s
I remember our first color tv was Blaupunk and it has stereo speakers it was the Best sounding tv that time
Blaupunk means bluepoint in english
The baddest Blaupunkt system I ever seen was Cope Kessler's Porsche blue GMC Safari with like 12 15's isobaric
Lossless means no lag or delay in Bluetooth audio transfer if you watch videos and stream the audio there is a delay with typical Bluetooth it’s possible that 5.0 means no lag
YEAHHHHH BOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
Wasup Wilson Great Video Once Again
Taramps HV 160000 High Voltage 160K Watts Class D Full Range Mono Amplifier
Found on Amazon. That would be a great test
Loving my 60 dollar jensen amp ! 💪💪💪 thanks Big D !
I have jensen subs
@@elroycooley398 Jensen amp rocks!
@@jorgem50 I remember buying jensen amps from Rex stores back in the day. I've been looking at the new ones. I might change out my dual amp
@@elroycooley398 i just sold a dual 250rmsx2 4 channel amp and replaced it with a 600rms at 1ohm Jensen amp. It's legit!
@@jorgem50 that dual amp that you are talking about is the one that I have. I had it for 4 years with no problems. I've been looking at a 4 channel jensen at walmart for awhile now when I go to buy one they sold out
Blaupunkt back in the day, was a very much respected name in the world of car audio. Such a shame that cheap products are being sold under that name these days.
I mean not bad if they just rated it
60w rms 4ohm 100w rms 2ohm
200w rms bridged (could charge $120)
But pretty cool for a shop amplifier
Amp companies need to look at this video and ..."LEARN"
You would think by now...even at 60x4 and 100x4, this amp is not a bad bargain
I keep reading that this company was good at one time...I remember them as always being in flea markets
I'm the one that sent you this amp info on Facebook...my bad 😔
In the the 90s they had a good radio.
Looks like a good candidate for a bluetooth ghetto blaster build for the beach, just a battery, the amp and some speakers in a box and your good to go.
Ha got my screen name from being called it in Highschool from having a truck with tons of Blaupunkt gear in it!
The Bluetooth ver. 5.0 is able to support HI-FI and lossless audio hence why its on the product specifications.
update this appears to be by Sony only? Implementing this into their own products.
I had a Sherwood amp in the 90's that was no joke🤣
Great budget amps
I got one and was surprised that the gains will adjust the volume of the Bluetooth. I wasn't impressed until I turned them both up and got an equalizer app for the phone.
Running Skar tx6x9 and ix10 . In 3 channel mode.
Not bad amp draw at all! I own cars all mid engine so upgrading a alternator is out of the question and blowing a alternator is a couple grand mistake... none the less, I see an amp no matter the output as long as 50+ a channel and not drawing 60 amps to full dump is gold to me!
Really missing some
Bluetooth that is where android shines. Apple does not have the right codex (sp) to get the best sound.
For a garage amp would be great.
Amp doesn’t say it supports APT-X though
@@wal ah figured with Bluetooth it would.
By the size of it, I said 60 watts tops. It is so reminiscent of some of the old (1990s) boss amps. I don’t remember the model but they had one of that exact size and put out around 60 watts.
And probably rated 600x4 🤦♂️
@@wal 600x4 MAX POWER
Review a set of Sony SSCS5 Bookshelf speakers. The cost of them has already jumped from what several of my friends got them for. I want to know your thoughts on this budget gem IMHO.
I’ll look into them, thanks
Ron’t Meet Spec 😉😜
Did you do a dyno run on BT? curious about any difference in output with that hot ‘tooth 🤔🤷🏻♂️
Dismal. 👎 What shame. Used to be such a respectable brand from back in the day too. 😔 Luckily we have people like you that show us the truth. Thanks again for a great video BigD!! 👌
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Well, it may be a great inexpensive option/candidate for your work car that’s got a broken deck that you don’t want to replace or a golfcart or a diy boombox.
Hm… I’m picking one up.
Back in the day (80's) they made solid HU's and other stuff. Another company bites the dust of quality.
Really liked those stools as speaker stands lol
That’s such a shame. That was a pretty respected name back in the day. The logo even looks a little cheaper.
Man, it's sad to see what happened to Blaupunkt, they used to make really dope head units. Back in the late 90s
It’s junky and BT sometimes disconnects but I still use this one on occasion
@@wal I like to slum it up sometimes. You've seen my freinds. Lets just keep that to ourselves! 😅
@@wal any better recommendation with BT at the same price? thanks for the video!
I love this channel!
Love the comment
I did purchase one.. for my audio on bike. I will admit on the 2ohm speakers it doesn't sound bad.. however Im not a sound quality professional. I dont know the difference in using the rca inputs or the high power inputs
BLAUJUNK - Coming soon to a flea market near you!!
😬👍
Would love for reviews for power sports speakers, amps! Have atvs and side by sides but never really know what to buy
R.I.P the good ol Blaupunkt.
Wouldn't be bad on something like golf cart or similar thing, seems efficient enough and the price for what you get isn't bad, hide it away and connect with Bluetooth would be ideal for such applications, the only draw back is no protection from moisture.
It's a solid deal at $83. They just need accurate ratings.
