    As many have mentioned, back in the day they were considered amongst the elite in car audio. They were OEM for german super cars long before car manufactures offered premium sound packages by established audio equipment brands. Reminds me how I saw a $25 bluetooth speaker under the Nakamichi brand. I used to brag about my exotically expensive Nakamichi Dragon cassette deck back in the 80s. Now blemished by the brand name beingfound on dollar store quality equipment

    Lossless is defined as an audio file that typically has a bitrate higher than 500Kbps and comes in a variety of formats such as FLAC, WAV, or ALAC. By definition, lossless audio means that nothing is lost and all artifacts and details are retained from the original recording.

    • @Zarcondeegrissom
      @Zarcondeegrissom 3 года назад

      well, I hope my WiFi isn't using lossy compression, that would mess with web pages a lot, lol.
      true on the definition of lossless, it's a bit iffy to combine that with a wifi interface standard on spec sheets. kind of implies something that has nothing to do with the standard.

      @MartyM. Год назад +1

      @@Liquid_Mike Not unless it's one of the supported protocols like APT-X HD I believe. APT-X is higher bandwidth/quality, but few devices or smartphones support APT-X and even fewer HD/lossless for now. A good quality Bluetooth receiver can sound pretty good in general, although I think it's downsampled before being transmitted for standard Bluetooth use.

      The amp is well worth the $85 bucks. Most components run around 100 to 150 RMS unless you're running something crazy, and if you was running something like that then why be looking at this amp lol?? Even most entry level subs only need 200 to 250 RMS so you could run some components on the front channels and a sub of the rear channels bridged. 🤷 With that said there is better amps out there for just a little over 100 bucks but I still think this is a good amp for 80 bucks.

Everyone would have gone nuts over a tiny amp with 80%+ efficiency and 400 watt output (Bluetooth wasn't even on the radar back then). This amp is in the low $80's and it looks like the non-Bluetooth version is about $20 less. This easily would have been a $400-$500 amp (back in the day) and been the feature cover on Car Audio Magazine. If you disregard the displayed numbers and just go off of your results, 200w rms realistically, is more than enough power per speaker in most set ups, that’s if it holds up over time. If you need to power 4 speakers, buy two, and you’ll have a $160-$180 800wrms (4channels) amp. I don’t know of any 800.4 amp that you can buy for under $200. To me, even though the true power is underwhelming compared to its rated numbers, it’s still a budget gem IMO.
