My neighbor has this tree , he said it was Plums but the more I look at it , it looks like a Jujube. He said I can Dig up some of the baby trees on his land if I like! Thanks for good neighbors! Thanks Lead
I wanted to get these and some citrus so bad but out of stock in the places I could afford. I want a five acre orchard with everything🤣🤣😂. Big dreamer. My dream is to have so much food growing, that no one around me will ever go hungry.
Now I learned something new today, I honestly thought jujube was candy--I had NO idea it was a fruit. I may have to add this to my garden. Thanks Lead! Have a great day.
So glad i found out about ison's from you!! Finally was able to buy the necaraine trees i'd been wanting for years! Not only was i able to find the exact kind i wanted, but in instant orchard size, was able to buy 2 cheaper than 1 tree from fast growing trees. Also bought another cherry tree (a combo) and 2 little persimmons- all for a really good price! They ship very well.
Mr Leadfarmer73 thank you for sharing this tree with us. I use medjool dates to make cashew milk and they are expensive and not sold in my small town. I will purchase the jujube tree as an alternative to medjool. On a side note, I went to our closest wm 3 days ago to purchase the solar flashlight and the price was marked $24.97 so I didn’t purchase any. Yesterday I went back and they were still marked $24.97 so I spoke with an associate, she scanned the barcode and it scanned $9.00! I bought five for my family 😃so excited thank you for sharing this flashlight.

Lead? Have you heard of them crazy jumping worms? That sucker was pretty wild. I used to think when they were big fat and active like that they were awesome. Now I'm starting to wonder... Check out invasive jumping worms. Maybe take the worm fishing instead?
Good for you. Tasty and medicinal plant ally to have. I use it as a tincture to fortify the immune system for my family when ever we feel under the weather.
I think to grow sugarcane, honey jar, Chico, GA866 jujube are the best apple ever, im still looking for tiger tooth jujube, I like your garden a lot, I wish my yard is that big so I can grown all kinds
My favorite fruit it grows here in zone 6b it takes the cold-5 degrees like a champ ,I have four and number 5 should be here any day now it’s the shansi li they grow every where in the dessert or up north , good day brother Lead!
You may need to put a barrier around the roots, they are very invasive. Most Jujubes are grafted on wild jujube roostocks which are very thorny and send suckers in every direction. That's my experience.
I got a honeyjar and a sugarcane from England's nursery. He told me to bury the graft like 6" so it can grow its own roots. I think he said the grafts tend to break. Check out his website. He's got a lot of pawpaw and persimmons.
For some strange reason, your videos always seem to be right on time with what I have going on in my garden. I have two honeyjar jujube trees I'm growing from seed at the moment.
G'day mate, greetings from Melbourne ,Australia (beginning of winter) Great video on Jujube. I am awaiting a Li to arrive in the mail. I'm a new subscriber, what is your climate zone there mate?
Got a li from isons two years ago. Love isons. Wish they sold more varieties. Isons is always my first go to place when I am looking for something. I was so impressed by the size of the tree they sent me. No fruit yet, but maybe this year I hope.
I am glad you said some of the land is wet .I was wandering why plant same in one hole when you have so much land.I just planted a Li but trying to get a Lang and sugar cane.
Lead i have a crab apple tree that about 12 years old and fruiting what want to know will it pollenate my honey crispy apple 🍎 tree I’m in Mississippi zone 8a border 9a I think you had said it would just checking before I buy another apple tree Thanks for all your information and knowledge you and lady lead share Thank you 😊
I was watching all of you're videos last night, when I saw those snakes I was terrified,I probably would have broke a leg or arm running and screaming 😆 🤣 but I'm learning a lot, I'm scared to own chickens knowing other animals will come around.
You can plant seperate holes leantrees in2 each other. I plant sideways trees it seems2work just fine. I rot all manner of weeds in rainwater 2form brilliant 10 to 1 fertilizer / plant hydrator.
I am wondering how your roots got along with each other in the hole??? In theory it sounds like a good idea. I tried that once with tomato plants and the Ritz had a fit and they were very very unhappy. My plant did not perform at all. So you planted this last year is it thriving or is it just getting along OK? Perhaps you could do an update video. I am extremely interested to see how this works for you over the next few years
I can’t wait to show you the update of them. they have doubled in size and quadrupled in fruit production. planting in the same hole has always worked for me for years.
Hi, I just bought two 15 gal jujube trees (sugarcane and ga866). Can I plant them together like this on a raised bed? I'm in Houston, so I prefer to elevates them. I'm thinking about a 2x8 bed with the 2 jujubes in it. Does it matter far far they have to be away from each other? Would love to hear your inputs.
Yes I have 2 tree of jujube like 5 feet tall small but it is flowering it has about ten arms in each tree can’t wait I actually bought some for 1.29$ a pound on sale at 99king ranch markets bunch of dragon fruit their as well I
I bougth 1 about a 1ft tall 2 year ago and the rabits almost kill it, they love to munch on it not sure it that is way but now is about 2 ft, it grows super slow, it blooms 1 and it small so sweet., I have contorted So tree
Yes, you can eat it raw. The ones with the best taste are the HoneyJar and the Sugar Cane variety. They both are precocius and you will have fruit by the 2nd season after planting in ground.
The wood chips help keep in moisture, and when it rains, they break down adding nutrients to the soil. They also will help insulate against cold, but I'm not sure how important that is in his area, or for trees.

You are correct I think that is one of those invasive jumping worms that the dnr is warning folks about. This reminds me of an old movie titled Squirm
Good info, Brother Lead. Hope those do well.

Another learning opportunity thanks Lead!!!
I’ve looked into this idea since my property is so small. Glad to see someone I’m familiar with doing it. Enjoy your jujube. 💜

I cant believe you touched that worm with no gloves but are the wood chips for insulation or stability? 🤔
The wood chips help keep in moisture, and when it rains, they break down adding nutrients to the soil. They also will help insulate against cold, but I'm not sure how important that is in his area, or for trees.
