man i feel like the patch when enkanomiya dropped was such a pivotal moment in time for genshin! imo it’s gotta be one the best times to have been part of the genshin community considering how much exploration and lore we got from this region… like i remember being absolutely floored when i read “before sun and moon” and when Enjou dropped that massive lore bomb regarding Celestia at the end of the world quest!! not to mention discovering the secret lab and realizing that Kokomi could potentially be the reincarnation of the water dragon sovereign ?! i really hope hoyo will circle back to Enkanomiya someday (potentially as Kokomi’s 2nd story quest?) and we can get actual confirmation on whether or not this theory is correct 🙏✨✨
I'd definitely say 2.0, 2.4 and 3.0 have been by far the most impactful Genshin patches. They feel like they're the points where the game really started to work out what it wanted to be. Enkanomiya was the first time we truly explored an underground area, which the game now uses constantly.
The Music of Watatsumi and Enkanomiya match the Aesthetic of both areas and some pieces match some of the lore that we had gotten from exploring said areas

I will be honest, WATATSUMI IS SOOOOO CUUUTE WITH ALL THE CORALS AND THE MUSIC ....then there is Enkanomiya,a tragic yet pretty location lost in time... literally. Exploration wise...i like Enkanomiya better xD

It is interesting that Watatsumi’s serpent god, Orobashi, was killed due to knowing information they shouldn’t from the book “Before Sun and Moon.” I wonder if the Vishap experimentation he ordered done had something to due the knowledge he gained from “Before Sun and Moon.” The rule of the dragons was before the time of the Archons and the Heavenly Principles, if I am remembering right.
