Thank you so much for putting this on RUclips. How gorgeous and talented she was. Loved her in Wings too. And bonus of an uncredited Gary Cooper playing the reporter.
clara bow 💞 i hope babylon does you justice. angel of beauty and talent forever, and even though she isn’t discussed enough nowadays, this movie and her creating the term “it girl” means she will live on in pop culture forever 🤍
Iam so grateful to live in a time where I can find and enjoy such great entertainment to just get "lost" in a wonderful, clean story. I escape the "poor acting" that is happening by those in control seats (government, financial tycoon's, big tech, social media).. although they are great at directing accountability elsewhere. Anyhoo.. great flick! Thanks 😊
The explanation of what "IT" is, is scientifically explained in chapter 4 of a new book called "Why Some People are Not Attracted to Members of the Opposite Sex" by John Hibbert. Elinor Glyn almost certainly had "IT" herself which enabled her to write about this quality in her 1927 book "IT".
I didn't notice this until I read it in Wikipedia: When Adela asks, "Monte, I wonder if there's anything between them?" the first two letters of the ship's name, Itola is between our two lovebirds. You can see it at 1:15:19 and again at 1:15:31.
Whatever 'it' was, Clara Bow had it by the truckload. It's a shame she left the movies at only 28 and couldn't control her inner demons that made her a recluse in those later years. Peace.
@@silverscreenclassics9210 I love watching them just as the audiences did originally. The visual performances tell the story very well along with the title cards. I was born in '57, love the '20s (and Clara Bow) so this is the closest I can get to "experiencing" them. The quality of the picture is amazing, just like (or perhaps even better?) than the audiences would have seen in 1927. Thanks so much, Silver Screen Classics.
Queen Elizabeth was one year old and Wyatt Earp was still alive. Amazing to look back in time.
Classic, charming 20s Cinderella tale!
Clara Bow's smile could melt your heart in seconds!
loved "it"... a lot of spunk in that character!. Favourite line: I feel so low I could walk on stilts under a Dachshund"
Yeah that's a good one 😄
😂😆😂 LoL!!

What a treat, thank you.
22:28 Those menu price are outrageous!!!
Thank you, SCC, and thank you, Miss Bow.

She reminds me of my grandmother!
Clara would be so much fun to go out with.
So pretty, just look at her cheeks!, like a baby, and her mischievous eyes 👀
Having never ever seen this one before, this is a first time for me, and it wont be the last time ether, you can be sure of that.
Thanks for posting this, SSC! Clara Bow, kudos to you as well.
CLARA BOW Was The Cutest Thing In Silent Movies!!

12214 Aneta St., Culver City, was Clara Bow's Bungalow.

The first of several glimpses that give a good look at Gary Cooper in the bit part of the newspaper reporter is at 38:25.
Clara was irrepressible.
Cutest Woman Who Ever Lived.
On the contrary Betty Boop is the Cutest Woman of All Time.
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩💘💘💘💘💘💘💘😍😍😍

I’m confused didn’t it originally start which her getting ready for work?

Taylor Swift brought me here. Clara Bow was amazing! I think I found something in these silent movies.
Same, I feel like watching this movie is prepping me for the new TS album.
240p…….
I wish they'd had the idea of subtitles back then.
Err. They were called 'title cards' and the rest depended on focusing on the visual performances.

they aren't needed
So elephant in the room…was Monty gay?
Is it true about Clara Bow,and the college team (with Marion Morrison aka John Wayne) ??😈😈😈😈
James Andersom very doubtful.
Episode 131 of the podcast You Must Remember This goes into this legend in thoroughly-researched detail. Short version: never happened.
No, it was a hoax.
Sucha smart film. Utterly enjoyed it. Reminded me of to FILM peeps and our cross connection of mishaps .the old days 💯❤️🩹📬😆😄😂😅🙃😉
