given you travel all over the world . on the wood panels , is there a need to use green or marine boards to minimize moisture absorption into the wood ?
I've been curious where you mounted the grey tank and how you plumbed to and from it. Both on this build and your last one (and any differences between the two builds).
Funny enough, I figured this was the case, but I wasn't sure what kind of space there was between the rails. Thank you for the information. I'm seriously considering doing a build very similar to yours, only finished out differently for my needs. Keep up the good work! I also want to thank you for being a bad influence on my spending habits and possibly the most expensive channel I subscribe to! 🤣🤣
@@gator701 absolutely. Criminals don’t like to draw attention to themselves. Nor do they want to break into a rig that everyone is looking at. Does depend on where you plan to travel with it.
"only 490 degrees back here" LOL :D
Seems even with a big truck you’re always trying to crawl into tiny spaces.
I hope you plan on at least one actual light switch. Electronic things die. A good light switch will last a lifetime.
True, everything dies eventually.
Thanks for sharing Michael. Not sure if you’re including this in a future video but I was wondering if you ever fixed your engine issue?
No, still battling the starter issue.
Builders face water damage - watch many you tubers - I try to learn from unfortunate incidences of others.
It certainly can happen.
With so much dependentcy on solar, how do you prepare for (1) many days of rainy weather (2) a forest tree covered campsite??
I have about 4-5 days of battery reserve with zero sun. If it goes that long I’m probably in the wrong location. I do have a back up Honda generator.

I have found green ones are good for the floor sills but may be overkill on the rest. They tend to be pretty heavy.
After you stick them on do you have to use Grout????? In Bathroom shower???
I don't think he used those in the shower, just the sink and toilet area.
The stick on ones in the bathroom no. The shower panels don’t need grout either.

Grey tank is under the rear of truck between the frame rails. I used pvc pipe and a standard RV hookup for the drain side.

Another great update!
Thanks!
Are you using 12v fridge? And if so, what do you do when the 12v air conditioner depletes the batteries at night?
I use a 12 volt fridge, I don’t let the ac deplete the battery- to be honest I rarely use the ac anyway as I tend to follow the climate.
I think I build in a single 100ah battery, separate solar panel and small mppt to keep the 12v fridge on a separate circuit.
@@gator701 yes, you could do that.
I've been watching the steps you take for anti theft protection. Do you have any tips? Honestly we must leave the rig unattended at times.
That is a tough one. Each rig is different, with different challenges. Mine is so loud that people tend to avoid it - as well as being big and tall.
So loud is a strategy?
