Hmm..... I haven't read good things about those LED/UV lights actually killing bacteria. Apparently most all of them don't allow the water to have enough dwell time under the lights. Don't know the brand you are installing, but you cannot beat a good ceramic cartridge filter that can remove down to 0.02 microns.

Been using the Acuva out of canada for 4 years now without issues. I know some people that have used it on some pretty sketchy water in Africa without issues.

Great to see everything coming together. What featuers are available on the casette toilet you had imported from Australia that you couldn't find in the US?

I just couldn’t find any in the states that had water hook up and electric flush. I think maybe thetford might have one?

@@drivetheglobe Ah, so availability, just not offered, or you don't know why? They are a bit of high-end features, but with the growth in buildouts, I'd expect a growing demand. Hopefully it's worked as expected. Or is that a spoiler for a post-baja video... :-)

way it was pointed out in other places... is primary purpose of filters (concerned you don't enough ) BEFORE the UV light is to remove everything that would block the UV from hitting water molecule. If it does not hit a particular group of molecules that have a; not good for you, bacteria in it... when this group gets to its next storage place, these little groups of molecules with that bacteria in them, will multiply and your right back to bad water.. contaminating your tank and all water lines any of this bad water travels thru.

My UV filter is only for drinking water and is located right where it comes out so that bacteria can’t get by it. The main tank itself and shower water is not UV treated.

@@drivetheglobe does not change any of point made above except your set up means you wont have to deal with contamination of other storage/water lines. (SMART), yet still for your drinking setup, same issue still exist.. if UV does not hit part of water (due to shadowing of some molecules by crud not filtered out) then what comes out of the tap is not completely treated. Granted you may have your non potable water heavily filtered for crud further down stream and Im just not aware of that. If so then your good.
PS- you might consider another UV for shower. Bacteria/ "Amoeba" in ears, genitalia, anal orifices etc occasional cause severe health issues. semi rare..... but easily avoided. would not need to be as superior a system as for drinking water though. just something to go hmmmmmmm

@@coachgeo I do have 3 filters down line for crud, and I filter the water as I fill the tank. I sent an email to acuva, the manufacturer of the UV system to see what their response might be to the light potentially missing molecules. Be interesting to see what they say.
