    Thank you for posting this video! The information you provided was incredibly helpful and it has given me lots to think about. I went through the invisalign process about 5-6 years ago now and I plan to do it again this summer because my teeth reverted back to their old positions. During my first invisalign process, I went through my dentist office. Each time I switched to a new aligner, my orthodontist took my previous aligner back and I wasn't able to keep them. Based on what you said in your video, they should have let me keep them, and I should have gotten multiple sets. Any ideas as to why they took them back? This is one of the reasons why I need to start again. I lost my last aligner on vacation and I didn't have any to fall back on. How can I avoid this with my next trial? I have a new orthodontist and I'm going to bring up my past experience but I'm still nervous. Is it possible to go through the invisalign company directly or is that option not recommended? Worst case scenario I'll travel to your practice since I live in Twin Cities metro area. Thank you again for your video, I enjoy watching your content and find everything entertaining and educational!

      It's my pleasure, I'm glad you found it helpful! I'm so sorry that happened to you while on vacation. That's not all that uncommon, which is why I give this as a tip :) Happy to help if you end up making the drive down to see me, we have lots of people who come see us from the Twin Cities. Otherwise, sounds like you have some orthodontist options near you as well. Thank you again for the kind words, and look forward to potentially meeting you!

    Invisalign past user here. I wish I would have watched videos like this prior to getting them.
    It was an easy process but I definitely would have done things differently if I had to do it again.
    No one mentioned the chewies until the very end to me. I also felt obligated to change it to next tray the day I was scheduled to, even if the next one felt too tight and painful. There’s no rush, but remember to wear every moment minus when brushing or eating. Last, I would have put more input in as the process went, instead of just trusting the process.

    Awesome video I just had one quick question!
    I have 27 aligners that I was given in my first refinement. I've checked all the way to the 27th aligner and my teeth appear to be straight and inline (I am treating a slight cross bite and crowded tooth issue). I was told that my treatment may take about 12 months. Personally, I do not care if I have a perfect smile just so long as my teeth are healthy and won't cause any issues in the future. So, if my teeth are straight and all health risks are out of the way, am I allowed to just request the nightly retainer and not go through the next refinement box? Or is it required that I do the next however many treatments?
    Thanks again for such a great video!

      My orthodontist always told me the goal was for me to be happy with my smile. So if I felt like they were straight enough and I was happy, it was perfectly fine if I wanted to end early! However, Invisalign is not a cheap process, so in my very unprofessional opinion (LOL), make sure you weigh the pros and cons of sticking to your journey :)!

    hmmm i am thinking about starting with invisalign. But now this video make me wonder if it is worth it. You make it clear multiple times that without they will go back to their old position. So if you follow the whole proces like you should, in the end you don't use them anymore? And they will go back to the original position? So that sounds like it is just a temperary solution that will have to be repeated over time?

    • @yorkshirepud5340

      Once you are finished with your Invisalign treatment, you then get given a brace to wear every night for bed and this will stop your teeth from reverting back. (It's the same with metal braces) After a few years wearing your braces to bed everyday, you will just have to wear it once a week to bed.

    Hi! I just started one Invisalign treatment in Sweden. I only have one attachment so far two weeks ago. I have somewhat transparent teeth, and that tooth was aching like after eating an ice cream when it was curing with the blue light. It was aching like that for three days afterwards (It was not because it was moving, it was a totally different sensation). Is this common when attaching Invisalign buttons or is this a reason for concern you think (like transparent enamel)? It doesn't ache anymore.

    • @TheBracesGuyOfficial
      @TheBracesGuyOfficial  Год назад +2

      There are some cases that I like invisalign better, and others I like braces better. It really depends on a bunch of factors including the bite, amount of crowding, angle of the teeth, and a few other things. I'd say go have your bite checked out by an orthodontist, and they will let you know the best fit for your case!

    • @TheBracesGuyOfficial
      @TheBracesGuyOfficial  Год назад +1

      @@Elanormalbebe89 I've never used fast braces, but I think the title alone is misleading. Their braces don't move teeth "faster" than any other type of braces. What it looks like is that they just stop the case earlier. Think of it like running a race. If you and I both set out to run 1 mile, and you quit at half a mile, that doesn't mean you ran faster than me, it just means you quit earlier. In fact, I'd argue that most orthodontists that aren't using fast braces are probably more effective at moving teeth faster, even though the case may take longer - it's because they are making sure it's as perfect as possible for you. Just my two cents.
