I'm still boggled at how it took a three step bound up those platforms. Give home a concrete jungle and give him joints like t-hr3 and he'd be all over everything.

Matthew Hastings This is exactly why one shouldn't name video "best male robots" or anything alike because, first, it's completely useless to even keep categorising machines based on gender, and secondly what that kind of title attracts are all the dudes who are insecure about theirs, and then all the intellectual conversation is ruined because it all becomes about penis extensions instead of science.
The robots themselves are at this point only potential tools. The comment section focus on killing, demonstrating power and defining "the bestest" robot based on "most potential to be turned violent to strike respect in my insecure ego" is what would get us screwed if those idiots got to decide anything. They all have potential of assisting people in various tasks, not just attending to narrow needs of war industry that doesn't touch most of people's everyday life.
I'm choosing to believe majority of engineers and scientists understands the big picture little bit better than uneducated masses of men ruled over by their emotions currently seen in comments. In the end not even nuclear weapons have got us all killed yet because we have been lucky enough and because on some level most of the educated people understand that killing large amounts of people isn't definition of useful and it's in everyone's best interest to avoid starting a war with those methods.

Future generations of robots will likely be more than just robots and as technology advances people will eventually interact with androids to make our lives easier. Android are specifically made to look as much like human beings as possible and if you think about it one can imagine how it might become (in the future) easy for someone to mistakenly think they're talking to a real person when it just might be an android.
