Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture. With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

As a temporary fix for the leaking drain plug (or missing gasket / crush washer and parts stores are closed) you can back the drain plug out enough to get a couple/three/four wraps of cotton string / twine (think masons string) then retighten the drain plug. Viola - no more leaks.

On the 660r bucket attachment, since Jim is doing the work😁, If it were me, I would have him drill holes in the center AND at each end so you can move it over if you have to, and then it's more flexible. Keep it in the center normally but if you need to move it just take the old Milwaukee impact, zip out the bolts, move it over then zip them back in.😊

Had to back up to check for the arm strong manual air conditioning. LOVE those wing vents!! Twist em around and get a hurricane right on the parts that need it most!! LOL Hopefully, you did not catch and direct a bee into that area. Those vents also kept the byproducts of chili supper out of the cab too. Thanks for the memory jog Zack!! Enjoy watching you and your dad working together, I loved helping my dad on the farm growing up, my dream was to farm with him but he never farmed very much and he actually ended up taking bankruptcy and had to quite farming back in the 80's. He always sold half his crop on futures and thought he was always safe doing that until we had a very dry year and he didn't even have half a crop to take out, you could drive the combine back and forth several times in the field before getting a full hopper on combine. By the way I always liked those Red machines but we did have 1 green tractor it was a gas 3020.

Put a vacuum (shop vac)on the oil filler neck and get someone to hold it and you can pull that drain plug out without losing all your oil, replace the seal and re-install the drain plug. It works amazing for any type of oil leak where you don't want to drain before repairing.

Different color zip ties to try to differentiate where hoses go? Maybe Mrs. MFer can loan you some nail polish to mark hoses and where they go. You can get electrical tape in a bunch of different colors. They have some fancy stuff that can be heat shrunk around cables/hoses so it lasts a bit longer. If I have to try to figure out what goes where without color coding, it just becomes a jumbled mess half the time.

It's never to late to learn a new skill like welding just have Jim walk you through the welding process and show you how it's done on one side then have you do the other .

Chevy truck with a carb. Install an 84 corvette fuel filter in a loop of new fuel hose directly before the fuel pump.
Disconnect the fuel line to the carb at the pump. Use a piece of preflared tubing and more fuel hose into a gas can. Start the engine. The pump will now be pumping full pulses of filtered fuel. That is a 10 micron filter. Sediment in the fuel pump check valves allows fuel to drain back all the way to the tank causing extended cranking and hot vapor lock.

On your old Chevy truck, if you would put a 12 volt fuel pump on it, it will push fuel into the carb so it will start without cranking on it so much. Works wonders on mine, just turn the key and pump the pedal a few times and it will fire right up when I hit the starter

12:00 a mag base drill would do wonders. Especially if you can get really low rpm. Then you can sit next to it with an arm laying on the spindle feed while the other lifts wobble pops.

If you have a leaky drain plug, take your shop vac to suck through the oil filler neck with cap off of course and remove drain plug. It sucks through the drain plug hole and makes no mess. I have done it on x-15 Cummins more than once and many cars and trucks.

You should put those blocks under the planter the long way. So if you bump into it while hooking it up it doesn't roll off the blocks.

Glyphosate is a widely used herbicide that can kill certain weeds and grasses. Glyphosate works by blocking an enzyme essential for plant growth. The product is used primarily in agriculture, but also in forestry and lawn and garden care.

Thanks for another great video. It was interesting.
Congratulations on your new combine. Looks like almost new with low hours. That is the way to find them. Am sure will do a great job for you Zach.
Busy time for you getting everything done up before harvest. Lots of little jobs to do before harvest.
Nice getting more and more Storm damage items fixed and ready to go.
If your new shed gets moved up that will be great. Will be able to get stuff inside then during and after harvest.
    Looking great Zach.
You all take care and be safe.
Looking forward to the next video.
    Thanks for everything Zach.
    The Iowa farm boy.
    Steve.
Don’t forget yo have Jim weld that bucket piece.

On another channel I think Sonne Farms, they got color wraps to go on each one of the hydraulic lines so it made it easier to hook back up.
