How the Sannin Would Do Against Each Akatsuki Duo

- The sannin have a long history of the akatsuki and were mostly reactive or indirectly proactive when dealing with them. But what if the sannin decided to put aside their differences to directly fight a common enemy? Orochimaru had already indirectly done this by not deciding to kill team 7 when they infiltrated his hideout looking for sasuke. He said himself he needed the leaf to keep taking out akatsuki members for him. For this scenario we’ll say that the three sannin respect and fear the akatsuki far more than they did originally. They’ll come to believe that they are too strong for anyone else to deal with in the leaf village. They’ll set aside their differences for the time being and begin hunting each akatsuki duo since they believe they are the only ones capable of doing so. They have the numbers advantage in every matchup except against pain, and they also have the advantage of having a medic on their team. The conditions for this what if vs battle hybrid will be that the sannin will not surprise attack but instead confront each akatsuki duo out somewhere in the wilderness. This will make it more fair for the akatuski duo, so we’ll say both teams just become aware of each other at the same time. The only win condition for the sannin is at least one of them surviving and to defeat the Akatsuki duo in this fight, so even if everyone perishes in the fight it would still be considered a loss for the sannin since the rest of the akatsuki is now unchecked. Lastly, to specify this will be the orochimaru that fought 4 tailed naruto but fully healthy. This is the one we know the most about and actually see fight, plus this makes sense since the time period for this scenario is early part 2. With all that being said, I’ll start off by explaining why these three shinobi are such a great team together, and then talk about how they do against the zombie duo.

Tsunade spent an entire war countering Chiyo's poison. If Chiyo knew which poison to worry about then Tsunade likely would've done the same if she knew she was gonna fight Sasori or even if you assume she didn't know she was gonna fight Sasori, I'd be surprised if after that war she didn't just keep some of an antidote for Chiyo's main poisons on her person just in case
Realistically ignoring Sasori's depression, Tsunade is just a better version than the Sakura/Chiyo combo and could probs 1v1 while Orochimaru and Jiraiya work on Deidara

I feel like tsunade could just chop of parts of her that get poisoned and just regrow them back anyway 😂. Like even if she gets hit by a poison needle, she could just slash herself and drain the poisoned blood out
I agree with you however I will say this: Tsunade stopped fighting and improving after losing Dan and while she was not weak whatsoever she didn't actually train or go on missions even as Hokage (in contrast to the 4th). My guess is that she has something to slightly counteract or mitigate Sasori's poisons but due to the passage of time Sasori has probably made more potent poisons since the wars.
Orochimaru’s poison resistance was mentioned when Anko got caught by kabuto. She was surprised the antibodies orochimaru gave her aren’t stopping the poison and she was very confident that bite wouldn’t do anything to her. And this was while orochimaru was still in the leaf village. I believe he can nullify Sasori’s poison also he as experience in seeing sasori fight. I do also believe orochimaru knows about sasori’s real body implying he has seen it before
Random point: in part 1 Tsunade jumped at least 4 times the height of Manda while holding a 10 story building basically. She can jump for sure.
They all can, he sounded ridiculous. Do these people forget that in order to tame the summons, especially in the case of a Orochimaru, they have to beat them? SANIN are comfortable dealing with WIDESCALE battles. Fighting hundreds of feet in the air at extreme speeds is nothing. Jiraiya showed no difficulty navigating his frog through the pipes of the rain village. Leaping dozen of yards covering hundreds of feet at times.

@@wisdomseeker0142 not every summon is done through taming, jiraya made a pact with the toads and befriended them. and same probably with orochimaru since he went to the snake cave. no idea about tsunade.
Its very likely Orochimaru did something to show he was stronger than Manda, given that kabuto said if Manda knew orochimaru was weaker he would just try to eat them or smth.
About diedera being weak to lighting: looking at the hand signs would let you know he’s using earth style. Sasuke says something like “and you should really hide your handsigns.” And most characters know earth is weak to lightning. That being said, no one would know that it stops the clay from detonating. Sasuke had to test the theory out first. Also sasuke did have a sharigan, so reading handsigns comes easy to him. I think most “smart” characters would be able to figure out his weakness. That being said, it doesn’t mean the fight is over. Most characters don’t even have lightning style, and diedera always flys up out of reach anyway. Even if you are able to hit and zap each bomb before it comes close enough, the advantage is still deidera’s.
Honestly I think the Sanin could’ve defeated all 6 Pains. We have to remember Jiraiya killed 3 of the 6 with absolutely no prep time or knowledge about them so them having some knowledge and 2 others to cove his weak spots it’s definitely feasible since they all know senjutsu too
Yes but there is context to Jiraiya successfully even going into Sage mode which he needed in order to even get off a jutsu to defeat 3 paths. If all 6 are present, he's never getting Sage mode due to Shinra tensei and Summons and Konan offering long distance support
@@2centswanted113 he could definitely get into Sage mode if all 6 are present because Jiraiya would have Tsunade and Orochimaru holding off the pains while he goes into Sage mode, not only that but he could summon Gamaken again to hold some of the pains off while Tsunade & Orochimaru summon Manda & Katsuya to also hold off the pains
@@dejones803 Almighty Push, they even stated this in the video. The stronger Paths were not present to stop Jiraiya. There isnt anything the Sanin have that can overcome Almighty push.
Naruto who was stronger, with Prep, and assistance still lost. Again its 7 on 3. Jiraiya would have to leave the battlefield which would get the other 2 killed or sealed.

@@milodag7638 Katsuyu is a target herself for the Almighty Push. A weakened Deva Path 1 shot 3 summons with it. Not to mention the Animal path has its own summons. 2 paths physically outscale even Sage mode Jiraiya.
Yes, as a group the Sanin are over SM Naruto but that isn't saying much when Pain himself is also over Naruto. A Naruto with Prep and Assistance mind you. Perfect Sage Mode, 2 toad sages, and 3 summons. Not to mention 2 pre-prepped Sage chakra batteries.

really cool video. love the breakdowns. there are 2 major factors that i dont think were given enough consideration in favor of the Sannin for these battles (and particularly for the Artist Duo fight). and it mostly comes down to Tsunade's summon Katsuyu. Considering the Slugs overall healing potential only every being summoned at 1/3 its power, if she basically just attached little slugs to orochimaru and jiraiya during the fight. constantly healing regenerating them on a cellular level, would that not be enough to combat against any nano explosive, or poison attack? The other thing, is that though you stated that the version of these sannin have at least a full war's experience that doesn't include ALL of their experience together, and how their overall power level increases dramatically when all 3 fight together. and that they just overall have an enormous amount combined combat experience and thourough understanding of eachother overall compared to the artist duo. If Deidara can play run-away tactics in the air all day, the sannin can do the same with toad stomachs or other wierd crafty shit that orochimaru and jiraiya could figure out. between the 3 of them, even if they dont have lightning style, i dont see them having trouble just hitting the Diedaras flying bird with enough firepower to destroy it outright. I would also argue that aside from deidra's self destruct. the Sannin (particularly jiraiya) are capable of extremely large scale attacks (like toad oil fire). i do think it would still be an extremely difficult battle, but i'd still tip the scales in the sannins favor. Especially when you also factor in the potential teamwork between Gamabunta, Manda and Katsuyu aside from just the Sannin. almost becomes a 6v2.
I didnt understand the part where he kept talking about almight pushes being spammed bc if they were in the rain village wouldn't that just stop him from using them or if he did they would be far weaker bc he doesn't want to destroy the village. If tsunade could withstand the one that leveled the whole village then she could easily take on that's far lesser in strength.

Itachi and kisame are the best and strongest duo in akatsuki with the best chemistry. Konan brings pain dow and zetsu brings Obito down
About the Artist duo: I think a giant toad like gamabunta could jump super high/ and shoot water bullets to pressure them in the air. I think a wind style + fire style combo from orochi and jiraiya would be huge when shot up and would need to be blocked, and could force an opening. I will admit this one is pretty Danky😂, but tsunade could throw shadow clones of jiraiya/orochimaru up at them and they could use long range jutsu from there.

Why are we acting like getting them off The bird would even be an obstacle? Sasuke did it by jumping on a sword, and he did all this with virtually no aoe attacks, which would’ve made disabling bombs and such so much easier. The SANIN have such abilities. It seems like the commentator really needs this whole battle to be airborne but that’s not realistic. Or even a problem. Bird is coming down after one projectile.
If the 3 Sanin were all in their prime and working together…
You’d be hard pressed to find any duo apart from Naruto & Sasuke that could beat them…
I don't think Deidara/Sasori do that well considering any of the giant gama's leaps can make Jiraya and company virtually airborne, and he can summon multiple of these, which are far more dextrous than the three tails who has defense but low mobility. Tsunade's Mitotic Regen is also a hard counter to the cellular destruction that both Sasori's poison and Deidara's nanobombs could wreck, and if any of them catch on to the dust cloud of bombs, Orochimaru has powerful wind style techniques that would turn that move back towards Deidara and his allies and Tsunade can send in Katsuyu to absorb and heal Jiraya if he isn't completely desintegrated. Also note Jiraya is going to be the tip of the spear in any team op and has sensory abilities even without sage mode, so I don't see Deidara getting the element of surprise with that sneaky jutsu.
I actually think the sannin are underrated especially Tsunade. As we saw in the war arc she absolutely shines through in team battles.
Despite being an absolute chakra pool (and an insane one for that matter) she also serves as the best healer around (besides god tiers) and she also can give almost perfect protection through katsuyu.
If we absolutely disregard her kage level fighting capabilities she would still bust any of the other sannins in battle.
I fully believe that Tsunade + Jiraya VS the six paths would be a completely different story
she isnt underrated,she has insane stats no doubt but naruto has a problem with scaling and the community tends to rate hax higher than stats...im not sure how tsunade and jiraiya would go against six paths,jiraiya did well against pain(considering how strong pain that is) and having another body sure helps but i dont see either of them being able to deal with the more powerful paths...maybe with intel they could
@@TheBillhs i mean Tsunade Skillset allows her to save herself and Jiraya from every single attack pain has besides chibaku tensei. And even than they could probably reverse summon.
They also have win cons. Tsunade amped punches (with byakugou) are probably enough to destroy any of the paths) and so is Jiraya’s toad genjutsu. It would be a difficult fight and Pain could still very much win but I think there’s a few possibilities for Jiraya and Tsunade to take the win

Now picture this:
Deva pushes Tsunade to one of his metal rods as he does frequently and would be fully in character for him to do like so. In that scenario speed would seize to be a problem and Tsunade would punch his head right of his torso as she is connected to him by the rod. Surely Kishimoto wouldn’t write it that way cause plot, but if we disregard narrative it would make total sense.

just like how sasori struggled against chiyo and sakura where as kakazu would’ve had a much easier time against them, matchups matter more then general power scaling does

I do think kakuzu would pair well with either sasori or deidara. He could repair his puppets like he does hidan.
With deidara he could give kakuzu's hearts many bombs so they could be like bombers, that doesn't add the most but the air heart could potentially launch these bombs pretty fast.

For the art duo battle you could argue that Tsunades 100 Healings would be able to heal through Diederas C4.
I doubt that it would. I don't think there would be anything to heal.

@Rinne Rebirth I disagree. She heals, but it isn't instantaneous. One of Deidara's largest bombs would pulverize her body. There wouldn't be enough left to regenerate from.

not gonna lie jiraya seems to be very underrated in these fights he is one of the most intelligent characters we've seen in terms of battle IQ and his sage mode does not run out because the frogs gather nature energy for him.
Lets not even mention Tsunade. Despite her kage level fighting prowess she is a game changer in any team battle just for her chakra pool, healing abilities and katsuyu

Deidara alone is a huge problem for them. Jiraiya and Tsunade isn't doing shit. Orochimaru is a beast, but even he doesn't have any long range attack that could tag Deidara. Deidara alone solos, probably. Sasori being there is even worse. He could help Deidara mining the battlefield with the puppets, distract any of the Sannin, force them to dodge into a bomb, etc. Deidara alone probably solos, giving him Sasori makes this a 100% win for the Akatsuki.
Honestly, the Sannin can't beat any duo. Even the arguably weakest duo: Kakuzu and Hidan beats them, since Kakuzu solos. Hidan is ass, he couldn't do much, that's true. But Kakuzu probably solos. But for this one you can maybe make some arguments for the Sannin. But most likely Kakuzu solos. The others? No. Deidara and Sasori already explained. Itachi no diffs them, Kisame no diffs them, there's nothing to argue about. Pein also beats them probably alone, but if not, Konan can fight Orochimaru and Tsunade very effectively. So she could help the 6 Peins.
So yeah, the Sannin isn't doing much against the Akatsuki duos. They even lose most 3v1s, bruh. 3v2 is unwinnable for the Sannin.

I think versus Deidara and Sasori it's a 50/50. We know that Orochimaru thought he was gonna kill Sasori with just Kabuto. Sasori wasn't aware Orochimaru was going to be there, or that Kabuto had shaken off the jutsu. In filler Sasori and Deidara did fight with Orochimaru's imperfect edo tensei, who fled presumably because he felt he couldn't beat both of them at the same time with a crappy edo tensei. Sasori and Pain also went to recruit Orochimaru I think and Orochimaru is revealed to be going easy on Sasori and powers up, sending Sasori and the third Kazekage back. I think the implication is that Deidara and Sasori are relative? Deidara did get shot down by iron sand but he also blew up the hideout easily, though Oro survived. Hmm very contentious

@@Sweetlesishere Yes he can, the radius of C0 isn't all that far, let alone C2 or C3 being all that effective at all while he's dealing Iron Sand which isn't going to be effected by his Explosive Jutsu.
Theoretically, Sasori could just outlast Deidara too until he forces him to use C0 and just shields himself with the Iron Sand if not substitute into one of his puppets like he did in the Manga.
Like, compare the two to who they died against.
Sasori needed Lady Chiyo, an S-Class Kage Level Shinobi and Sakura's Antidote she made with prep beforehand to be defeated, and there's evidence that he wanted to lose on top of that.
Deidara just needed Hebi Sasuke, who admittedly is Low Kage Level himself but still.

I do think the summons are getting one shot by Deidara considering what he did to Isobu and the Island Turtle (which Manda 2 the stronger Manda needed help with). People think Sasori is only good for his iron sand but his puppet body isn't weak and his 100 puppet army is the perfect chance for Deidara to set up a bomb and offset the numbers disadvantage temporarily. Sasori's puppet body also has water and fire which can deal with elemental jutsu being used against them
The snakes can dig in the ground to get cover, and wait for opportunities. So they at least must be watched out by Deidara. He can not just spam bombs on them.
And Katsuyu took the giant almighty push from Tendo Paint, but just turned into little slugs. She was still there all around the battlefield.
But I think New Horizons underestimate the actual arsenal of Jiraya and Orochimaru.
They can combine their fire and wind styles to launch blasting attacks at distance. Even Jiraya can just summon Bunta an light up his oil to make a giant fireball.
Or sage Pa, has a water style Justu that can create long range cutting blades. Just like Tobirama's severing wave.
Or the Sage hair needles could shred Deidara's birds of they are not protected by Iron Sand.
Deidara would have to watch out for Jiraya. And if this one went into sage made already. That's a fast problem with great reaction time on his tail.
@@fellowkrieger457 Deidara should be in the air so I don't think the snakes hiding in the ground will be super helpful. Katsuya was defeated by almighty push she couldn't fight anymore that much is obvious. I'm not saying C0/3 is equivalent but maybe it is considering Manda is more useful in combat. The boss toads are arguably the weakest boss summons besides Ma and Pa considering how easily the big ones got beaten by Pain twice. Useful but not game changing. I'm not disputing that the Saninn don't have long range options but what I am saying is that I don't think they're as superior or as fast as Deidara. Saskue had to gamble to do it and I'm not saying they're incapable of that I'm just saying their jutsu are slower than Deidara considering how hard it is to react to raikiri and dodge it.

Pain is capable of displacing some ground with Almighty push but not if he thinks it’s not needed and not aware Orochimaru can come from the ground. Matter of fact all his snakes can do this. This timing of the three SANIN should be able to put up a faster combined reaction time than kAkashi and the two akamichi clan members.
@@cunningfox7838 yeah but Deidara's substitution has no anti-feats. And spamming the bombs would uproot the snakes lying in wait, so it would actually be preferable to spam them. Deidara's only slow bomb really is C0, anytime he's wanted to use C1/2 he's been able to, such as point blank with Saskue in the forest near the start

It was another of those “ he’s fast” scans. Above the artist duo for sure. Deidara can hang here though I don’t see Sasori lasting very long.

I mean I think the blade of kusanagi could stab deidara or penetrate his bird causing it to blow up in Deidara's face and I don't think it's easily destructible since the four tales didn't just snap it off when it grabbed it but it's not a guarantee that it could work just a idea

Cutting the bird doesn't cause it to blow up. It only explodes when Deidera triggers it. Also he would have to get past 100 puppets. iron sand, other explosives and also make sure it wasn't a clay clone like the one Deidera used against Onoki
I feel like ur underestimating the sannin while overrating some of the akatsuki member’s abilitys. 15:00 chunin sakura is established as a much better medical ninja than chyio and sasori, he himself said he wouldn’t be able to pull out an antidote for his own poison in a year or something while Sakura did so in a day(this goes to show how Tsunade and her students are much better than everyone else in medical nin. They're like leagues above the best). So kakashi saying sasuke would just not be affected by sakura’s poison actually proves orochimaru wouldn’t be affected by the poison. I also feel like u overrated the iron sand defense, it ain’t doing much against the sanin honestly. Even chunin sakura could punch it out of the way, every single summoning is enough to deal with it. The sannin are also much faster and stronger overall than deidara and sasori, they’d defeat them before they start this cycle of flying while atacking and defending. Like, whats stoping jiraya from using the oil+fire combo and cooking them alive before they can do anything? Or how are they stoping Tsunade If she just literally decides to just rush into Deidara? I know for a fact Sasori's iron sand ain't getting the job done and its the same for Orochimaru😭
In the pain part you really overrestimated the allmighty push. Like u said it yourself, tsuande alredy tanked his biggest one and came out with nothing but minor injuries. She just ran out of chackra bcs she needed to protected a village worth of people who are also much weaker and less durable than any sannin(fewer and stronger targets to protect = less amount of chackra used). Also pain was only capable of doing such a destructive one bcs he basically deactivated all of the other paths so realistically he wouldn’t even be able to pull such a big one in the midle of the fight and if he did he would not only be unable to use any ability for minutes but he would also be defenseless bcs the other paths are just… not there… pain can’t spamm shinra tensei like that so the sannin should tank it easily🤷 i mean how would they loose when it’s alredy stated a single sannin with intel had chances of taking pain out? Even if you don’t believe in it it alredy says much about the power levels

I get so annoyed how everyone underestimates Tsunade she is a literal monster in strength, durability, and regeneration. She is the #1 medic in the Naruto universe and one hell of a brawler.
I think people forgot that her healing ability which was introduced in part one holds up all the way through the war. Meaning, unlike these other characters that magically got strong for the war like kakashi, she’s always had that ability. We’re led to believe that speed is the only thing that stands in her way of defeating faster characters, but by the end there is virtually no way to put her down and again she has this capability since part one.
Something that I think should be pointed out in regards to Orochimaru vs Itachi, it shouldn’t be that simple in an all-out fight. People keep using this to scale Itachi higher above Orochimaru than he should be.
Orochimaru gave himself away since he was practically salivating at the chance of taking Itachi, and Itachi could see that coming from a mile away. Orochimaru also messed up by looking Itachi in the eye (again, likely because he was fantasizing about what he’d do with those eyes) and got caught in a genjutsu because of it.
I don’t think it would go so easily for Itachi in a fight where Orochimaru had full killer intent. And before you mention when Itachi sealed him, Orochimaru had just spawned back in what was a giant target for Itachi to pierce with his sword.
So I’m not saying Itachi is weaker than Orochimaru, far from it, but I am saying that beating Orochimaru in a 1v1 wouldn’t be nearly as easy as people make it seem.
It's a reasonable argument, even if I would not be absolutely sure that in the case of a death battle between Itachi and Orochimaru, he would successfully avoid genjutsu. First because Oro doesn't have the tools to actively avoid eye contact like Kabuto had and second because we already saw how tricky Itachi can be to trap somebody into genjutsu without them realizing it, one doesn't need to actively watch deeply into his sharingan for many seconds to get caught after all.
Moreover, I higly doubt Oro could resist tsukuyomi.
But overall I see where you're going at, and I agree with the idea of Oro being a tougher opponent for Itachi that most think.

Only part I’d really argue against is the Deidara part of the fight.
We know Orochimaru can use lightning, we just didn’t see it. (Look at it like Kakashi knowing 1000 jutsu but we’ve only seen like 20) That doesn’t mean he can’t use any lightning style. To add on to that, it’s stated he’s learned/is learning every jutsu in existence. So saying he can’t use lightning is a stretch.
Combine that lightning style with his body augmentation (i.e. his fight against the 4 tails where he has the kusanagi in his mouth and extends his neck like a whole kilometer VERY quickly) and he shouldn’t have an issue with slicing off Deidaras wings, never mind the whole aspect of defusing bombs with lightning style.
So I’m saying the Sannin take a W in the matchup.
Also, the other 2 can use lightning style. It's stated in the databooks.
And we've actually seen Tsunade use lightning style in her battle against Kabuto.

tsunade was able to heal sasuke from the damage of tsukuyomi just by touching his forhead, also if jiraya is in sagemode he is likely immune to it since natural energy would desrupt his chackra flow and break the genjutsu, proof of that is itachi never used it on kabuto who is a sage too (he shut his eyes only to not get hit by his own attack)

Ngl after watching at least a dozen of your videos over two days, you literally just say stuff after you've been recording for a bit. What do you actually mean Jiriaya isn't a smart fighter. Literally everytime he gains a foothold in the Pain fight he's then throw into disarray by Pain throwing another path at him. And even if you consider his fight a three on three by the time Pain inevitably killed him, Jiriaya had gotten more Intel than almost anyone else would had they been in his situation. Then Kakashi gets folded by the Deva Path as soon as he's stated to attempt to kill him, while Kakashi also has backup so this is also not a one v one. This Kakashi who is one of the smartest characters hands down then stated I don't think I could have done as good as Jiriaya. So what are we actually talking about here. He may not be a latent genius like Sasuke, Orochimaru, or Itachi but he's without a doubt a tactician in his own right as he's literally stated equal to base Orochimaru. Who by your standard is so smart XD. Also unless Kakazu is more of a tank than the four tails he should get folded if Tsunade lands a single blow using his earth armor or not.

Your analysis with the artist duo is whack. No matter how you slice it we have a full understanding of Sasoris capabilities in his battle against Chiyo and Sakura. Whether he could’ve used his abilities with more potency is one thing, but we saw the scrolls get used up.
In that fight having 1 bulldozer character posed such a problem. Well, guess what? All three of the SANIN are capable of highly destructive power. One fire attack from the toad wipes out this battlefield, and everything Sasori brings to the table. End of discussion.
Why are we ignoring Tsunades healing? That’s a War arc contending ability she’s had since part 1. It’s perfect for this against Deidara. Her cells would be regenerated. Jiraiya can wall himself off in his hair. They are SANIN. They defy nature. Not some tactical dependent team of Jonin who need to time their kunai right to get an opening lol. You can’t wear them down. You have to PUT THEM DOWN.

I think Tsunade should be able to put up as much of a fight against Sasori as Chiyo and Sakura did, since she's basically just a better version of Sakura with Chiyo's level of experience. Granted, Sasori was holding back in that fight but I don't think it makes much of a difference with the other Sanin in the mix. I also think you probably overestimate the artist duo's coordination, while underestimating the Sanin's. The only time we see Sasori and Deidara fighting together is while they're controlled as Edos, they don't ever seem to want to fight together. Meanwhile the Sanin have some statements about how each of their powers increase by three times or something crazy like that.
When it comes to Deidara, I think you misinterpreted his fight with Sasuke a bit. Sasuke was never out of chakra in that fight, he only had trouble moving because he chidori ' himself to get rid of the nano bombs, he just straight up beat Deidara. It's also stated in the war arc that the only reason Sasuke beat Orochimaru was because he was sick, and it's sort of implied that they still might be relative to each other in the war (for the record, I don't believe they are, I'm just saying that there are statements to Support this). Either way, considering how Sasuke beat Deidara, and you said this would be health Orochimaru, who is supposedly stronger than that Sasuke, I don't think Deidara wins that fight.

The main issue with fighting Pain is the Naraku path. Theoretically, that path can just camp out from a safe location and only swoop in when a path goes down. Literally! And the rain village is a huge industrial area with PLENTY of nooks and crannies to hide out at, so if the animal and Asura paths go down, two other paths can simply bring them to the Naraku path and now we're back at 6 paths
Video idea every village vs Obito invasion with 9 tails most villages get stomped. If you gave each village there current kage and previous one they could probably hold up
Some weird Deidara scaling: Saskue waited for Orochimaru to be on his deathbed to kill him and didn't think he could do it until he absorbed him. His fight with Deidara was very close, and after absorbing Orochimaru it should be safe to say Saskue is much more powerful. Orochimaru was also a secondary antagonist after part one and the akatskui were the main villains of Shippuden. Based on this, I don't think it's a stretch to say that at least part two Orochimaru is weaker than Deidara by a decent margin but about as strong as Sasori. Orochimaru holds back in the two fights he has against Sasori but nothing is totally conclusive besides that they can fight each other.

I perfectly see Orochimaru and Tsunade both individually deal with Sasori's poison.
Orochimaru went head on to a trap on the bridge with Kabuto. He would not go to kill him if he wouldn't have a counter to his poison. Kabuto is a medic and a former spy of Sasori. So he knows everything about his poison.
Tsunade dealt with Chiyo's poison during the war, and is the one that taught Sakura. She has a harder time than Orochimaru, but there is possibility for her to either treat the poison or just regenerate from it until wearing out of chakra.
The real deal about Sasori is the iron sand in this fight.
And again, I mean, Orochimaru thought he could assassinate him while still being impared in Shippuden with just the assistance of jonin Kabuto. And Orochimaru is really smart (except when it comes ro Uchihas 😅).
Although I do see Deidara combined with Sasori a much bigger threat that the two separately.
Deidara can deal with Orochimaru's ability to flood the battlefield with snakes. While putting Sasori in the air. And Sasori can reinforce the birds defense with a cloak of iron sand. And it would protect them from Jiraya long distance hair needles or firestyle attacks.
That would be a headache.
A pros for the sannins though, Sasori's 100 puppets are not a threat at all.
Either Jiraya make a fire combo attack with Gama Bunta's oil, and just torch them by himself.
Or he make a combo attack with Orochimaru's wind style to turn them to ash. And we saw Orochimaru's wind style can make either subtle blades or giant gusts of wind. He is really good at it.

14:00 you could say that sasuke got a mental amp here. we’ve seen the power that mental amps can give people like naruto when protecting his friends, like using 1000 shadow clones in the first episode contrary to then getting smacked by the demon brothers in the land of waves arc who sasuke fought off with just taijutsu. naruto again went from being relativish with neji to then being relativish with the one tail / gaara. whilst naruto seems to get a mental amp from his friends, it would be fair to say that sasuke would too from being faced with impending doom, since he still wants to kill itachi etc. it’s fair to assume that this mental amp would give him enough chakra to do one genjutsu and a summon. sure it’s manda we’re talking about but sasuke also managed to suppress the ninetails with his base sharingan so it doesn’t seem that difficult for him. p.s. chakra is made from mental + physical energy so it’s mathematically relevant too

Ok so the the sasori and deidara fight is highly contextual if the fight were to take place in an open field I'm sure they could still win mid to high diff (specifically with Deidara) it all depends on orochimaru's opening move if he opens immediately with striking shadow snakes and captures both of them its GG no Re Deidara gets bound and sealed by the snakes poison and unable to move and sasori's hiroko puppet is covered in snakes and completely unable to move cause all the joints are constricted including his escape hatch at which point Jiraiya and Tsunade can one shot either of them
All the sanin have been stated to have 4 tails naruto levels of power and these two aren't there at all in fact the only duo that really has a chance at defeating them as a team might unironically be itachi and kisame and even then it's high diff on their end mainly because of the way they fight though I still think 9/10 times the sanin lose to this duo but the rest are low to mid difficulty in general also I'm assuming they all info of some sort of all the akatsuki they're fighting

Sannin together can beat any Akatsuki Duo , No exception
My question is who in the akatsuki can defeat edo tensei. Plus remember you can't kill what's already dead. Also the sanin don't have fight directly they can reanimate the dead and use them to figure out the opponents jutsu and tricks. And on top of that there's probably only one person in the akatsuki who is able to seal the reanimated and remember they don't run out of Chakra.
Should the sanin win their first fights. Orichimaru can add those members of the akatsuki to the collection and use them against the next duo
It would make sense for a 3 shinobi team to have a close range, medium range, and long range fighter. But most of them, including the Sannin, aren't like that.
Honestly against the pains, Orochimaru could send out the first and second Hokage. Though they are weaker than the war arc counter parts, they are relative to hiruzen. Which means they can solo at least one path, as konohamaru even defeated one. Orochimaru would be good at crowd control

Okay so I’m a huge sannin fan so take what I’m saying with a grain of salt but:
Jiraiya has the summons and jutsu to take out the zombie duo on his own.
Orochimaru and tsunade can counter sasoris poison, and Jiraiya has the jutsu to defeat deidara.
Kisame and itachi have strong chance of winning in my opinion because itachi likely has a timer set genjutsu on him that would activate if he ever attacks him (that’s what happened when orochimaru tried the first time) in my opinion
If orochimaru has his arms from the war arc then pain has no chance, tsunade gave up all her chakra to save every leaf villager and she still survived it. She’d be fine against the shinra tensei.

Deidara is the one who was outloud presuming he has no chakra, he said it once, then Sasuke used 4 more jutsu, then he said it again and for some reason people think he was right that time, as if he magically gained sensory abilities. It's not a plothole. If he really was out of chakra, then Orochimaru could take over.
Bro. Almighty push has the cool down and requires more chakra if you're using it on a large scale. Naruto with a bunch of clones was able to withstand it, so Pain isn't doing anything to the Sannin with it. And the three of them are incredibly intelligent fighters. Orochimaru will be useful because he's dabbled more in forbidden jutsu, but it's not like Tsunade and Jiraiya are foreign to them either.
Long range attacks to offset Pain's formation? Orochimaru has his sword of kusunagi which can cut through anything and Jiraiya has collab jutsu with his toads such as toad flame bombs which is a firestyle even bigger than Madara's. He also has his hair attacks and then his dark swamp technique.. Either of those options should be able to get at least two of the paths since he has back up.

I liked the video. I respect your arguments, but I think you underrated the Sannin by a bit.
I had several arguments, but my app shut down as I was typing them, so I'll abbreviate.
The Sannin stomp Hidan and Kakazu. I have no doubt Tsunade can break Kakazu's hardened skin, and destroying his hearts should be easy for Jiraiya and Orochimaru.
Against Pain, they can counter Almighty Push with Rashuman gates, they should be able to identify the 5 second interval for Almighty Push, their summons will be very helpful, plus Frog Song is a very effective win condition with all 6 psths there.
Against Itachi and Kisame, MS does not nullify Frog Song. In the databooks, Frog Song is listed as the STRONGEST genjutsu up until that point in the story. It took Sasuke, to break Itachi from Kabuto's auditory genjutsu. With the knowledge the Sannin should possess on Itachi's MS jutsu and Samehada, they'll have Orochimaru fight Kisame while Jiraiya and Tsunade stave off Itachi. Orochimaru can try to quickly overwhelm Kisame with poisonous summoning snakes. If a snake bites him or if Orochimaru bites him, Orochimaru can poison and seal Kisame. Then possibly use him for an Edo Tensei summoning of the 1st Hokage. I give this mid-difficulty. Jiraiya and Tsunade will need to buy time using summonings to keep an eye on Itachi and attack from a distance (they can use Katsuyu to relay information), while Jiraiya changes the battlefield with his earth-style to make it hard for Itachi to move or lock eyes with his sharingan. Tsunade will essentially just be slinging rocks at Itachi. Maybe Ma and Pa can trap him in Frog Song. But if they can hold out until Orochimaru beats Kisame and possibly has an Edo Tensei of Hashirama, the Sannin win. This isn't the only win-con either.
Lastly, the Sannin can beat Deidara and Sasori is if they trap them in a barrier to prevent Deidara from flying off. But I think Needle Jizo can prevent a lot of Deidara's bombs from landing. Plus, I don't think Deidara's C3 was village level as much as it would have damaged a significant portion of the village, like maybe 1/10 or 1/5. There are some other counters, but that's all I care to type.

Tsunade as a healer and light support, Jiraiya for combat and trapping maneuvers and Orochimaru as a necromancer and heavy support would destroy any Akatsuki duo. If they trained together for four more years while Orochi continued his research they'd even beat Madara eventually.

I’ve got the sanin in all of these matches besides the itachi and kissame duo and I’m 50/50 on them vs pain and konan. I think they honestly win that one slightly. Great vid tho
tsunade would for sure be able to get an antidote since it was stated that she would be the only person to be able to do that. Also tsunade in base for is way stronger then sakura in her fight vs sasori. Then deidaras C0 could be countered with katsuyu. Since sasuke survived useing manda and Katsuyu is a way better defense. Sasori and Deidara also where both arrogant and wanted to fight alone all the time. Shown in sasori vs Orochimaru or deidara vs Gaara. even after defeating gaara they didnt team up and fought for them selfes so u cant rly count their teamwork since its most likely very bad. Also keep in mind Orochimaru can use the 3rd Kazekage with edo tensei like he already did vs sasori.
So to conclude. Deidara and Sasori would most likely switch up and try to fight 1 on 1s and i dont see eather sannin loosing to eather of them.
