The Simagic gear is really good stuff. I have been sim racing for a long time and finally upgraded to a Alpha Mini.. from box to racing in literally 10 minutes.
Fantastic video: My drifting neighbour Harald Andre recommended your channel, and I ended up selling my almost "new" racing seat Svive D1. The Playseat Trophy was ordered today, and I can`t wait to receive it. I think the Playseat Trophy was is quite expensive, but it will bring several hours of fun for me and my grandchild, and maybe even for my drifting neighbour Harald Andre from Lillesand :-) My plan is to start saving money for the #Logitech Pro wheel and pedals to try out the DD and have a lot more "real" feeling than with my G923 on my #Xbox Series X. I really hope the Playseat Trophy will feel a lot like the Playseat Challenge, I love my old Playseat Challenge ;-) 🤞
Watching this back reminds me I started sim Racing with LFS too Drift with an Old G25 at that time, Now I am back to it but I need to get back to Sim Drifting tho
I think so, yeah. Great cockpit that keeps things simple and gives you everything you need I bought a simucube and it made me realize how unnecessary the higher nm is. Even a g29 feels quite good. Mid nm DD is ideal for price/performance imo
Thank you - I've been wondering what to do with that strap ever since I got the Trophy - there is nothing in the manual about it and it's not even listed as one of the parts. I've just installed it the way it is on your seat and it was an instant improvement to comfort.
This setup looks amazing! I just got this cockpit on sale for 500e instead of 600 and in this price point for a cockpit that has a seat it was by far my favourite option. I was surprised by how light but sturdy and heavy duty it was. On one hand feels indestructible but on other hand I can move it around.
Personally think 600 and even 500e is bit much for this at that price in Europe you can get other as good or even more flexible options like GT Omega Titan or offbrands in every country (at least Norway and Poland has couple). The only thing it has over others is the size and lightweight, while being sturdy for Direct Drive. Other than that adjustibility wise and flexibility and comfort wise GT Omega TItan is nicer at same price point. Especially the steering wheel position in Playseat Trophy is too high and you cannot adjust it that much. I own both Playseat Trophy in Rouge (got one from Outlet/Return for 450e) and GT Omega Titan XL (on sale for 450e), if you get more space and let others use the cockpit I recommend getting the Titan. If you need space and only you will be using it then Trophy would be good, but still price point remains something to be desired for something that does not have proper seat and nouanced adjustment, only fabricm velcro seat and hard adjustments. It will probably be discounted again on Black Friday to get it under 400-450e or get one from outlet, it being a major brand like Playseat and in many retailers shops you can count on discounts coming some day. Still I agree it's still very good option for sim racing for anyone that is even an advanced user. I only got both cause I got one for my other place and didn't have that much space in apartment, so when I am not using it I hang it on the wall :). Loving it with PSVR2 in GT7 and DD Pro GT.

Rig is perfect, small rigid and comfy, but that shifter mount is killing me. The plate protrudes inside the seating space and pokes my right leg and it is annoying and hurts my leg after long sessions. Couldn't it be more outside of the seating space?
Have you ever thought about getting HP reverb VR instead of a bigger screen from more immersion? Aswell as maybe using some subwoofer and a good speaker to actually feel the vibration as if you were in an actual car
i have just a basic sim setup but i love it its the playseat evolution actifit logitech g29 logitech pedals and logitech shifter but i have to get a shifter mount ur a good drifter❤
HI there! Awesome Build! Was wondering, how well does the playseat handle the 10NM from the Alpha Mini? Did you had to get any attachments to secure the direct drive base to the cockpit as well with the pedals?
It looks like theres no movement in the shift plate what so ever with the hand brake and sequential. What about the pedal plate and wheelbase? Wow you worked with Playseat on the shift plate thats so cool. Did the pedal plate come with the pedals or is that from Playseat too? Because Will from Boosted Media said the most flex comes from the standard pedal plate. Did you use all 10nm any flex?
Anyone know what monitor/pc stand he's using? They one on Playseat's website looks way different and got pretty bad reviews on Amazon. Aasbo's looks a lot sturdier.
Glad more pro pilots comes to Sim-Racing! And Simagic is a damn good choice of hardware for such purpose! Also VR setup - highly recommended for anyone who does racing, both real and virtual. In VR your FOV is fixed and track perception is close to real, while with monitor it just depends on a lot of factors. P.S. Won't comment playseat choice for this build, understanding it's your sponsors )

Mine didn't come with that back strap. I wonder if I have an earlier revision or something. My unit has a couple of velcro pieces that connect together, which is much less elegant than what yours looks like it has in it's place

The Trophy is a very underrated rig. All the 8020 guys don’t take it seriously but it can actually hold high end wheels and pedals pretty easily, but is also portable and light and looks awesome.
You should narrow your field of view a fair bit to get true immersion. There's calculations you can do but an easy technique I use is to cross refference the size of your hand on your wheel to the one in the game. Then adjust your in game seating position so that your hands and steering wheel obscure the ones in game. Lastly, turn off the steering wheel in the graphics settings and you'll have true immersion. Hope this helps!
You are my last hope for this issue) Did you ever manage to make the Simagic Alpha Mini work in Project cars 2 or Automobilista 2? It never works for me. Very difficult to even assign and calibrate, have to reduce the rotation to tiny angles. But even after that, in game there is 0 movement from the wheel. All the buttons are recognized, even axis of the paddles, but not the rotational axis. Tried with all settings I could on the Simagic software and in game, same result in both of those games.
