this song i do find sad quite a bit. i think part of that is cuz it plays when you say bye to everyone in the first chapter. it feels a lot like the last time youll see them for some reason, and that might be because when chapter 1 first came out, it wouldve been 3 years till the next one. thank god we got to see them all again. great song, cant wait for chapter 3
@@Tulip_bip not every arpeggio is related to gaster lol. there are uses of arpeggio that *also* have a stylistic/thematic match to gaster's theme in songs like The World Revolving, for example. friendship employs the use of a simple bass pattern that matches its' chiptune aesthetic. specifically, because there is only three voices playing at a time, the bass HAS to make those "arpeggios" to outline the chord structure of the song. it's far more likely that toby just wanted that nostalgic retro sound, and he did it very well
@@Camreeyan aren't they basically the same (ig G# requires a double sharp to be expressed in a key signature so Ab is the more "conventional" key name)
this song is so underrated
can already see myself sobbing when this song plays at the end of chapter 7 lmao
sounds so nostalgic

This song is definitely gonna come back at some point, and it will be the Deltarune version of Reunited.
I'M NOT CRYING YOU ARE!
Memories of Queen Mary’s Castle come rushing back.
Fun fact: this song has Gaster’s Theme in it.
because of course it does.
You can hear it in the background at around 1:47 and onwards.
@@megamegasamx1014
that's the point of gaster's theme. toby made his theme a very common arpeggio so there would be a little bit of him in every song

according to gaster theorists every upbeat song Toby composes has the Gaster leitmotif lmao. Heck every pop song
this song is better than most of the Deltarune sound track
The whole soundtrack is great.
Can i agree with both?

is this version of the song in G# major?

oh whoops forgot about this also i meant Ab major not g# 💀

@@Smitology Yes but considering the original version is in A and this one is lower it would make sense to call it A flat
