@@JasonStarchukyour video helped me so much. I’m not done yet but I got it pulled and the air box separated. This video helped me so much best video on RUclips for This job. Saved so much time and headache. I subscribed. My evap core looked exactly like yours. It was original
@@h22eh6 Glad to hear it's working out for you! It's actually pretty straight forward, but definitely helps to see an overview of the steps on video first.
When you install the steering shaft back on, there was tape on it when there wasn't when you put it back on. What was that all about? Also, the shifter, do I have to becareful when taking out? Is there any markings I have to do when uninstalling it?
I taped the the steering wheel to prevent it from rotating and messing with the clock spring. Mark the shifter cable just below the bolt so you have a reference point when putting it back on.
You left out a lot of details such as the Shifter interlock removal and install & the adjustment not too mention a BUNCH of Hardware HOW do I know? I am doing the same job now right now! Thank goodness I have the factory manual.
Hey, when I disconnected the shifter cable I marked its location and didn't need to do any adjustment when reconnecting. The main components required to be removed to access the evaporator are shown in the video. The intent was not to create a step by step, more a high level overview with focus on the dash removal. Cheers!
@@ShyRage1 Hey, from what I recall the shifter needs to come out to allow clearance when the dash is tilted forward and removed. Also, there is a wiring harness that is connected to the dash that runs under the shifter to the center console. It's only 3 bolts for the shifter and then the one bolt on the cable to the shifter. It's easy to take out. Mark the shifter cable just below the bolt so you have a reference point when putting it back on.
Yo I don't know what the hell is wrong with you bro 😂 but you did not have to take all that apart to get the a/c evap out. the lil Rusty t3 screw is at the top of inlet tube as you were under the glove box 😂 you put the camera right on it all you had to do was unscrew that little rusty screw that was at the top of the inlet pipe that led into the EVAP😅
Aloha, you might be a little confused. The piping you are referring to is the inlet/out for the heater core. The evaporator core, which is for the A/C is a totally different component. The inlet/outlet piping for the evaporator enters/exits directly through the firewall and can't be seen under the dash (shown at 9:23 in the video). The evaporator can only be removed by splitting the evaporator/heater distribution housing. Unfortunately, this is the only way to replace it. Cheers!
Thank you for taking the time to record this !
Talk about being patient. Thanks Jay.
Hope the video helps, let me know if you have questions!
Great job Jay 🎉❤🤩
Excelente gracias 👍🏾
I can do this!!
Getting started is half the battle lol!

I added a pic for you on my Community page of the shifter and where I marked the cable. Cheers!

@@JasonStarchuk not the shifter cable the Shift interlock cable. The second cable.
Are we sure that the shifter needs to come out? I'm wondering if there's a way that we don't have to mess with it.
