I have a few questions and would like to know your views on the same:
1. Why are there only four credit networks in the United States? Why can't traditional single message networks like Accel, Star, and NYCE process credit card transactions?
2. Why can't credit card transactions work on a single message network?

In case 2 DMS - if a transaction is in o/s status and not in billed status then why the balance would be reduced to 500. As per my understanding after the aging period transaction will be simply dropped not affecting balance at all instead of crediting the account.

How does clearing work with adjusted amount to the original authorization (e.g. tips) and how issuer handles it while matching?
For DMS does it have any deference between Auth and Clearing? If so, what's happen?

I have a question about NCP (non-card-present) transaction and the system in wich those transactions must be processed..... If I have a NCP (credit or debit number) it should be processed via dual message system??? because this transactions does not use the PIN associated to the card..... is that correct????
