At 13:40 let's suppose merchant has the account in same acquiring bank.
I believe merchant account and acquiring bank account will be same in all the case.
So Acquirer bank will submit that merchant payment file to payment system and the payment system will submit it to ESB right??

Hello Ramesh, while in settlement process - amount to be credited in merchant account - that should be post transaction charges charged by ACQ/ISS Bank ?? Pls put light on this.. Thanks..
Need to understand the flow of money as it is not clear. When Issuer approves the transaction then if its Debit Card then then the amt will be debited immediately, if its credit card then the entry will show and will be posted subsequently in a day or two.
When ACQ send the file, the file needs to reach the Issuer as this bank is going to pay the money. This part is missing.
Where is teh network role coming in here? Settlement should be through network right?
At 7:40 why would acquirer bank send data element as 95??? Is it standard number every time if reconciliations is failed or jus for example.
Sir would request you kindly explain every time new word or terminology is used because it creates confusion and we are lost in between.
Rest of the things you explained is very informative
If the case is total transaction in merchant side 10. Acquirer captured 11 transactions. Please explain how merchant settlement happens

However you did not mention how the Acquiring bank collects his money from the issuer banks by sending an outgoing file to Visa or Mastercard..etc

As mentioned in the video, the merchant can have his current/savings account in some other bank which is not same as the acquirer bank. I was of the view that acquirer bank meant it's the merchant's bank. Please resolve my query here.
Merchant and it's terminal will be in acquiring bank always and merchant's virtual account will definitely be in acquiring bank but it's merchant choice whether he/she wants to have his/her saving or current account in the same acquiring bank core system or any other bank.
Thanks Ramesh. I got your point that acquirer bank and merchant's savings/current account bank could be different. This comment raises one more query for me. What's a virtual account?

I did not understand centralised bank concept . Can you please elaborate it with an example.
For example, the central bank in case of India is Reserve Bank of India (RBI)

e-comm settlement can be done 2 different way ..one is similar to the video the other way is to process each Trxn as 2 tier...its a big topic..will try to cover in one of the video..

Hi Sir, Do acquirer create a single batch for all the transactions or one batch for each POS?
I guess, each POS will send the batch file to it acquirer and then acquirer processes it and sends to corresponding Card network (VISA, MasterCard etc). It also puts the acquirer fees in those transactions.
Each POS sends a batch with its Merchant and Terminal Number, the batch is created in POS and Acquiring System when the 1st trxn is submitted and closed when merchant submit the business end of the day, next day again when the trxn is performed a new batch is open,.
