I used my cricut explore air 2 and my laster printer to make them. Also share how I design my own stickers and make die cut waterproof stickers at home with a laser or inkjet printer.

    Hi, what font did you use in order to make the labels on the Cricut app?

  • @janishoward8849

    Lily, is it better to create the labels as a word document and upload to design space? It seems like it is impossible to create multiple labels in design space because I have to create a new spice name, resize, etc for every spice…..very time consuming. Maybe you can help streamline the process by explaining how you made so many labels on one sheet? Thanks for your help 🙏🏻

    Hi there🥰! I hope you're doing great! I just finished organizing a bit of my kitchen :D and wanted to share my DIY labels. A bunch of you asked for links when I shared these spice jars on Instagram in case you want to get the same jars I added links in the description. Have a blessed week 🤗!

    This is super helpful! Thanks for not only talking about the stickers/labels, but also troubleshooting for waterproofing and cutting. I've found that my Cricut frequently doesn't cut like it's supposed to based on the materials I select, so having a calibration option will hopefully help mitigate some of those issues. Thanks again!

      @@diylilyardor3435 I just completed the project and it turned out great! Two comments though: 1) the scallop square you used is no longer available on Cricut. I was able to replace it with a different one. 2) I had to adjust the Cricut printable vinyl setting to double its default pressure to cut through both the contact paper and the printable vinyl. But thank you again for making the video, it was super helpful and I love how the project turned out!

    Newbie here so apologise if it's a silly question. Can these labels be made without a printer as i have seen other videos where they didn't use any printers. I'm thinking of getting a cricut machine and want to do small projects like this but i don't own a printer. Thanks x

    • @diylilyardor3435
      @diylilyardor3435  2 года назад +1

      You can use the cricut market tool to make labels. In that case you wouldn't need a separate printer.

    I also have an HP Printer, but I feel like the images I see on my computer screen is not accurate to what is being printed.
    Do you happen to use system dialogue or have certain settings in Procreate regarding your Canvas setup?

    Can anybody give advice on which type of printer gives the best results for when making stickers with the Cricut Maker 3. I have to buy a printer so I am trying to decide if I go for a 'INK jet printer' or a 'Laser' ptinter. I have never tried to make stickers so I have no experience at all on any type of printer. And if you have information about the correct type of paper required for each type of printer that will be greatly appreciated and the Pro's and con's for each type.... thanks.

    OK I’m new and I am very confused. Why did you have to put this in a printer? Isn’t the cricut able to do this? I mean they come with pens I just don’t understand why it Hass to go in a printer first. Also, you went to fast and did not explain how to make a line. If you could explain how to put a line under the text I would appreciate it

    • @diylilyardor3435
      @diylilyardor3435  3 года назад

      The cricut machine is not a printer it simply cuts designs out, it can also color, draw and score. You're correct it can color with markers but not print.. if you want more colors then what you have in markers, a printer is needed. To add my line in design space I simply found one under images by searching line or you can also make one with the square shape and manipulate the square into a tiny line. I hope this makes more sense let me know if you have anymore questions.

      @@diylilyardor3435 thanks but I just can’t grasp this. It makes me wonder why you were even bother to do anything with the cricut for labels, why not just use your computer since that’s where they have to print it out anyway

    • @TopacJay
      @TopacJay 3 года назад +1

      @@chloenkitty To cut out perfect symmetrical squares for the label, you need to apply the settings in Cricut to cut it perfectly. A printer will not do this for you. Unless you want to cut it by hand instead.

      I agree with you.... the video did not address your questions very well (and should have). Hope this info helps....
      >>> WHY USE A PRINTER: Yes, you can load pens in the Cricut and have it draw the words/lines. But there's two more issues with the Cricut doing the writing.... (1) spice labels are small with tiny font, and a standard printer will just do a better job of creating clean, precise letters at such a tiny size, and (2) again because spice labels are small, you'd have to use a Cricut writing font and there just aren't a lot of good writing font options, whereas a standard printer can use any font on your computer or that you download (like the maker did in this video)
      >>> HOW TO MAKE A LINE: In the Cricut Design Space program, under "Shapes" is "Line" which lets you easily add a line to your canvas. You can specify how you want the line to be created (draw, cut, print, etc)
      >>> WHY EVEN HAVE A CRICUT: You didn't ask this, but it's sort of implied in your question. Although a project like this works best with a standard printer involved, there are TONS of projects you can do on the Cricut that you just can't do on any other machine. And Cricut has a writable vinyl product, so if you find a writing font you like, the font size is decent, and you have a Cricut pen with the right width.... you could make labels that don't involve a standard printer at all :)

      @@htrabj Thanks for the additional info. Just got a cricut for Christmas so I am very new to this! I figured out how to create a similar label, but my lines do not print. I cannot figure out how to do this. They appear on the canvas and when I hit "make it" they disappear from the preview and do not print. Everything else is working fine. Any help would be appreciated.

      Mine smudged not because of my cricut machine. It has everything to do with my printer and paper. There are different printers that print on top of paper vs into the paper. Hope that makes sense.
