Edit: in total I ordered 6 units of blue one. Of 6 units only one was unfaulty. 1 came scratched, 1 came without support rubber on the bottom, 1 came without rgb on capslock and delete key, and other 2 came without working software - couldn't change key layout. Half of them all didn't have working 2.4gHz connection. In one unit after replacing the spacebar stabilizer the whole keyboard stopped working.. It looks so good but the quality is such a distaster that's it's hard to recommend.
with so many budget boards coming in this was nice to see and i agree with your point right now its not how cheap boards can be but how available they are more choices for people.
Very good video as always Rx! I have both the Lucky65 and its brother the Sugar65. They were my first two alu boards and I´m glad I got them. For the money, they are a step up from plastic boards like the GMK67 and the GAS67, which I also have. When I got into the hobby, I got the plastic boards to learn how to build and mod them before I stepped into alu boards. And I think that both the Lucky65 and Sugar65 are a great entry point into the alu board part of the hobby. After I got them, I decided that would not bother building anymore plastic boards because the sound and feel is so much better than the entry plastic boards. This hobby is certainly about preference, But I think it should also be about slowly scaling up and learning. I now have a couple of Monsgeek boards that I got (M2 and M7) and now I feel ready to scale up again into higher end boards. The Luck65 and Sugar65 are a great place to start once you´re ready to get alu boards. Even though I have the Monsgeeks, now I still use these two.
Love that detailed input! and im glad you are enjoying your journey in our hobby! My suggestion is to take it slow and sell boards that you think you no longer need if you are already satisficed with one layout.
good board hoping they would make a tkl version of this at this price point as well! would love to bring this to my office tri mode alu for $80 damn what a great time to enter the hobby
I just ordered one for 60 euros, 3 years ago this would get you something like the epomaker gk68, which was my first modding oriented keyboard, and it had nothing, no foam, bad prelubed stabs that not even the holee mod could save, like besides being top plate mounted and hot swappable there wasn't anything else remotely close to the custom kits we have now. Like sure the gk68 came with switches and alright keycaps, but the switches were cheap unlubed and wobbly gateron blacks and the keycaps aren't good looking at all. And it was plastic. This on the other hand is metal, has a daughter, lots of foam and pads you'd have modded yourself back in the day, a weight lol, flex cuts, great stabs out the gate, and the only thing it really doesn't have is via support. How far we've come lol.
Seeing it on sale for as low as ~$60 which is right there with the Leobog Hi75 for value for barebones. However, you can easily do better switches for your taste with cheap keycaps and keep it under $100 USD total. With the ND75 and Bridge75 in there as well with ball-catch and magnetic pogo connectors... this might actually be falling a bit behind on the value curve considering it does need some tuning and work to really get there.
I don't think the switches come with the keyboard. They seem to be sending them to the reviewers, but they aren't in the listing anywhere. I pre-ordered the violet because it's such a unique color. I'm hoping a tape mod will help with the flex cuts on the PCB.
The switches won’t really come with the board, it’s a barebones kit. You could also just tape the flex cuts itself and not the whole back of the pcb if you want to
Oh I didnt know that it wont come with the switches! I will clarify as well thanks for checking this and my apologies for not double checking about the switches!
Have you got a problem with wired mode? I found that if I connect Lucky65 in wired mode, It would be stop working for a long time after turn off the computer and turn on it again; otherwise, I have to unplug the wired from Lucky65 to resolve the problem. By the way, it only occurs in the case that using wired mode when the switch underneath "Tab" keycap is turned on.
im trying to built a silent keyboard with lucky65 and outemu silent peaches. i'm new to this keyboard world. i need me an advice or tips.do what do you think masters ??
If silent board silent switches is the way and using case foam should be fine for that kind of build, you can also lube the silent switches for more silence . Thanks for watching as well!

entry level budget boards are so good these days. really good base for someone wanting to experiment and try the hobby ❤
Totally agree!
This is a seriously good value for $80. I wish boards like this existed when I started
Same thoughts sheeesh, what a great time in the hobby thank you for watching the review as well!

yeah the finishing could have been better but idk that no foam sounds good to me which is surprising to see
Hes still typing with plate foam, just no case foam.
@@0xBULLgogi ahhh ye i missed that too on his video
Yes still with plate foam only no case foam!
I recently bought one and need to build it, but after watching the video, I want to do it right away!

@@ZeroChoices that's a good point, I will have to try that first!
Try PET tape instead of the regular masking tape

No problem so far in terms of my wired mode. but i do have that occasional hiccups that i need to plug and unplug to be connected.
Only thing missing is QMK/VIA support.
I won’t even use it, so no big point for me
Yes lovely addition if it was included but as Skio said some wouldnt even bother using it but it still nice to have tbh
how do you use the 2.4g mode? I tried pressing fn r with the toggle switch up and the receiver into the computer but its not working
If you know you know!
