    Love it when old OEM radio blocks come out that easy. Anything is an upgrade from them. Sure your daughter will appreciate the better sounding tunes.

      I had to explain to her that the factory radio didn't have any way to connect her phone. She is young enough she just assumed every car had that.

      @EvanWells07 lol. So innocent and unaware of the levels of car tech. Good job Dad!

      Funny! Had the same conversation with my 15 year old. Where is the aux port or Bluetooth. Nah bro….closest thing was the tape deck adapter.

    • @EvanWells07
      @EvanWells07  9 месяцев назад +1

      @BrandonEnderson ahh the old tape deck adapter. Good stuff!

      Where did you buy the radio? I’m concerned how difficult the wiring harness would be to connect. Does the radio and GM connector have the same wire colors?

    Can you post the links to the screen and dash kit? Thanks!

    • @EvanWells07
      @EvanWells07  4 месяца назад

      I wouldn't recommend the same radio I used, it has been nothing but issues. The install kit was from eBay so there won't be any good link for it, but if you search your year / make / model it should pull them up.

    Do the steering wheel controls work? I was thinking about installing an aftermarket in my 08 Lacrosse

    • @EvanWells07
      @EvanWells07  2 месяца назад

      No, but only because I didn't buy an adapter for those controls. They make a separate thing you would also need to install for that. I just use the remote that came with the radio.

      Help with what part?

      @SuperSeylen 2 дня назад +1

      I'll bite because I'm having the same issue. I don't know what harness to buy first off haha. My 08 Buick has 2 blocks coming from the car and the radio I have only needs one plug. Are they usually color for color?@@EvanWells07

    • @EvanWells07
      @EvanWells07  2 дня назад +1

      @SuperSeylen yes from the colors from the radio to the harness should be the same, the aftermarket has pretty much standardized this.

    I have an 05 lacrosse I installed a double din radio pioneer dmh 100bt with the interface plug everything works but I have no sound it has a factory amplifier did yours have it too

    • @EvanWells07
      @EvanWells07  5 месяцев назад

      I guess I'm not sure if mine did. I didn't do anything special for the harness or speakers. So probably not. I know on my Fords with factory subs or premium sound there is a different harness adapter for those to turn on and send signal to the amp.

    Does it have carplay?

    • @EvanWells07
      @EvanWells07  4 месяца назад

      No. I wouldn't recommend the radio at all. It is glitchy and doesn't work very well, but it was cheap and I wanted to try it out.

    What size face is it

    • @EvanWells07
      @EvanWells07  2 месяца назад

      The face of the radio? I assume that's what you mean. It is a double din, the screen size I have no idea, probably around 6.5"

    What fuse did u tap into?

    • @EvanWells07
      @EvanWells07  7 месяцев назад

      If I remember right it was the sunroof. Any keyed power source would work, but I like to use one that is seldom used.

      @iamthemist1030 ahh I gotcha. If it is one that only has power when the key is on then yes.
