It holds up amazing. It's not really intended to have clear coat over it. With proper care will last a LONG time! I have some other videos on the channel of painting more traditional signs, but unfortunately they don't typically get great views, so I have got a way from making them.

Thanks! I have pulled these carbs more times than I care to remember to rejet them, just trying to get the right combo. They are such a pain! I eventually figured out my rich running issues being some failed o-rings deep in the carbs. I have several videos covering the carbs and tuning alone since I know it is usually an issue on these bikes.

I never made one other than this. It's pretty easy other than removing the little cable for the PRNDL which isn't terrible but a little tricky.

Is the fuel pump working? Plugged filter?

There is a lock tab you have to push to release it. Some times they can be a little sticky, so you may have to wiggle it as you push the tab.

It's not technically adjustable. I've never had an issue with float level though. Usually it is a needle issue, or just needs a good cleaning.

They used to be on eBay all the time. I'm not sure anymore. The last time I looked I couldn't find one. You can buy the wiper motor and it will come with it, then just replace the clutch instead of the whole motor.

No idea, but I kind of doubt it due to the age difference.

I guess I'm not sure. It depends a lot of your area and how much local shops charge for labor. I could see it being 500-1000 or more depending on location.

Yeah you could do that, but the housing isn't that expensive.

Take which part out? The valve body, or the sensors?

They are hooked up to the vacuum ports on the carb boots. I have a short on the channel showing exactly where if that helps.

In some cases it helps. If it's really slick out I would use just the brakes. The drag on just the rear tires like that can cause it to loose traction and slide.

The red / amber ones are from eBay also. The relay is just wired right in place of the stock one, just cut the connector off and added spade terminals. As for the wiring on the lights, I think mine were 3 wires, so I just wired them in place of the stock wiring. That part was so long ago though I don't remember exactly what it was.

​@@EvanWells07do you know what wire you connected the drl/red wire to in the headlight? I got the same turning signals like you but I managed to get the turning signals working, I'd like to get them to turn on white when the headlight is on like yours?

The cheaper testers may not be as accurate, but it's not necessarily the # you need, it's the variation between cylinders. It will probably run with that much difference, but it's not ideal. Between the seafoam to break up any carbon in the rings, and restore, you may have a good shot. Run it for a while after both and check them again.

You put it in with the new oil and can run it every oil change. I have been putting it in every other oil change though. They sell the bottles in 4/6/8 cylinder sizes so just buy what you are going to use it in.

@firearmconvention946 yeah that's what they recommend. I only do it every other oil change and it has worked well still.

I've swapped it all so many times I can't honestly remember. I think I have the stock shim and one size up jets from stock.

@@EvanWells07 thanks i am waiting fore parts now I orded som new floters and som jets and other parts. I bought the bike complete stock from a old man after i made a bobber out of it and take away the original exhuast and make straight pipes the bake started to owerflow with gas an killd my sparkplugs So i guess i need to adjust my carburators like you did. Youre video helps me alot from not to give up 🤣 youre bike make the same bangs and are diong the same noise as mine. Sorry fore the bad typing i am from sweden

@@EvanWells07 alright I need more information on how you connected your led front blinkers and how you connected that relay. Both are here I realized my bike gives me black and brown wire for blinkers and the led have yellow red and black. Very new to all this sorry for bothering again

@alexcalmets9633 it's all just the factory wiring, nothing fancy.

Lol you will need to do some welding if you want it all clean looking, but there are plenty out there that just chop it all up and leave it. Maybe a good time to get a welder and start practicing! The rest is fairly straight forward stuff. Nothing too crazy.

Thanks! You are right, the switch back lights need a new relay to work with them, but there isn't really any major wiring involved. Just replaced stock components with the LED stuff using all the factory wiring.

@@EvanWells07 do you have a link to the relay, I’m following your build when it comes down to lights. I also have no idea how you turn out the original rear fender into this piece of art. I’ve been looking at it all day today and I don’t know how I’m going to do this

The relay is just a generic LED flasher from eBay. I try not to post links since they aren't permanent links. If you haven't seen my newest video on the bike I go into a lot more depth on both the fender and the lights.

All the carbs I have got for it were from eBay. I have played with several combinations of carbs and jets. I will have a new video out soon where I do some more upgrades and play more with jetting.

THis has been super helpful for me to understand the steps needed to fix my lincoln, i just want to be sure the bolts i tighten down in the transmission area are on point.

The diagrams I used are from a site called identifix. Unfortunately I can't share links because it's a subscription service.

If you pause the video on the diagrams I showed, I think they are on there, but you could also just snug them up and it would be fine.
