Drill a hole in one end for the key ring.
I made this one to stand up, it is a bit big for a key ring, but on a smaller one you idea is spot on, thank you very much Andrew.
Who would have thought that a guy would be making masterpieces from common rebar.. Mr. R, take care my friend...

Just found your channel Gavin. You are a true craftsman and I appreciate your videos/ideas very much. Take care my friend. Matt in Maryland, USA
Thank you very much, I appreciate your comment. Greetings from Australia.
Um show 👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you very much.
Un gusto sus trabajos. Realmente creativo, ingenioso.
Awesome mate , It takes me 25 minutes to forge a bottle opener . Cheers Gavin . (:
Thank you very much. Forged stuff has that ancient look and feel, I love forged steel, rebar just does not compete with it in my opinion. Cheers Douglas.
Bacana, muito 👍
Muito obrigado, fico feliz que tenha gostado.
saludos amigo, siempre muy ingenioso y útiles tus creaciones 👏👍🙋🇵🇦
Muchas gracias, agradezco tu comentario.
Jajajajaja Excelent!!!
Thank you very much, I am glad you liked it.
Super
Thank you.
I think they got it wrong it’s not Clark Kent it’s Gavin Clark the man of steel who can make anything from it. I always love your builds and this bottle opener would look great in any man cave
Thank you very much, I appreciate your comment Bradley, cheers mate!
No, cheers🎉! I fkn like it !
Awesome, cheers mate and thank you for your comment.
Why don't you slice a thin slot in the end of it to get pull tabs open on cans also?
That is a very good idea, thank you Adna.
chingon
Thank you very much.

cheers, subscribed :D
Thank you very much, Welcome to the channel.
Finally a project within the realm of my abilities!
You will be on the tough ones in no time, I wish you the best for your project. Have fun Troy.

Hic!🤤
cheeeeeeers! 👍
Cheers! Simon.

👍👍✌️😁😁😁
Thank you very much.
Do you ever use any products to seal the metal after you've finished to prevent any rust? I like the polished rebar look and wondered if you'd had any problems with surface rust? Like on a rebar coat hook if damp coats are hung on it. Thanks
I often use Penetrol Rust Treatment Penetrates Rust 300g Aerosol Spray, and then put two topcoats of Semi-Gloss Clear Coat. That is what I used on the rebar lettering on the back of my workbench, here is the link to that video. ruclips.net/video/JA-wk62Zghk/видео.html I try not to comment on finishes, As what climate you are in, is it inside-outside, lots of rain, ice, do you want long term and rarely touch, or a wax with a wipe over every year. Thank you for your comment.
@@GavinClarkdiy If you want a traditional "blacksmith" finish, just warm it up a bit and wipe it with some beeswax and give it a cloth buff. (just an opinion)
😋🥃🥃🍻🍻🍻
👍👍👍👍👍✔️✔️✔️✔️❤️
Thank you very much.
Rust?
I use beeswax sometimes, or I often use Penetrol Rust Treatment Penetrates Rust 300g Aerosol Spray, and then put two topcoats of Semi-Gloss Clear Coat. That is why I have no opinion, Please ask someone in your area what you should use, I feel this is a better way to find out what would be best for you. Thank you for your comment.
