Looks alot like a dessert we do in Sweden called "Kalvdans" (Calfs Dance) made from "raw milk", the milk that gets produced first after calving.
Made with sugar, cinnamon and cardamom and cooked on low heat for an hour in a regular oven. Tastes very good.
Its quite special since its not everyday a calf gets born, and of course most of the time the milk is for the calf to drink. =)

Thank you for this recipe! I didn't have a bowl I could use in the Instant Pot, so I divided it between two 2-cup mason jars and adjusted the time accordingly. It worked beautifully. If I'm not going to eat them right away, I set them in some cool water and then I can just put the cover on and pop them right in the fridge. I can't wait to experiment with different flavors.

    Spoon: Put me in coach!
I saw Bella's original vid and have only made it in the pressure cooker. But that was a long time ago and I never wrote down the cook times I came up with. Great to have the times, esp for different amounts of eggs. I most often made the egg pudding with chicken broth. Yum.
I almost immediately started experimenting with custard and flan after trying this. So good.

I made the 4 eggs version this morning. The 10 minutes were not enough so I put it back in for 3 more minutes to be sure. It was really good. I think my eggs were slightly larger than large, so I got 3/4 cup of egg mixture. If you get that much when you mix up, you might need a couple of more minutes. I really liked it and see lots of possibilities for it.

This really is easy! I’ve only used my IP a couple times before because it didn’t seem to make my pulled pork any better than my slow cooker and the pressure aspect kind of scared me. BUT I just made it, and it came out nearly perfect. I used half water and half HWC with the eggs which , I think, caused the bottom “corners” (I made it in a 2 quart souffle’ bowl) to overcook a bit, but still yummy. I also added a teaspoon Each of Stevia and vanilla to make it more like custard.
It was not a quick process, the IP takes more than the 12 minutes if you include the warming time, so I wouldn’t make this daily, but certainly a good twice a month treat!

I just made this egg pudding this morning, using my Instant Pot, instead of on the stove top , like I usually do. You were right. My brand is LUX, and it does not have a Pressure Level button. I went ahead and tried it anyway. It kinda, sorta came out, but I won't be using my Instant Pot again, unless I get a model that has the Pressure Level option. The bottom of the egg pudding had a layer of cooked egg white. The top of the pudding was okay, but that meant I had a lot less pudding to enjoy. So back to the stove top until I get a model that will work. I like the idea of having different variations. I made mine with coffee as my liquid of choice, for a change (I saw Bella make it with coffee).

My mum’s recipe. For one egg then add 3 half shells of water. Pinch of salt. Optional to add fish cake.Steam 6-8 mins in regular steamer. When cooked, olive oil, soya sauce, pepper and fried onions.

    Amazing. Thank you.
I might add a little of the grass-fed beef gelatin in the water to make it more creamier. I like your approach to saving some calories omitting adding hc in the eggs. And to save the sweet part on top in the custard. I probably will take some of that sweetner plus vanilla extract into the eggs though. And the topping would be the whip cream frosting.

Custards like this turn out much better if you strain the egg mixture first, but of course, then it's a pain to wash the strainer.
Also, I have used high pressure with no problem. I used the recipe from Flo Lum here on youtube.
FYI, a great sweet dish is egg and banana "pancakes". You just combine eggs and bananas and fry them in a pan (2 eggs, 1 banana). They turn out differently depending on how long you mash the bananas and how long you beat the eggs and bananas together, but they are surprisingly good. I've been wanting to try egg and banana instant pot custard, but I just haven't been able to yet.

Egg custard by any other name. Add a keto friendly sweetener to the liquid eggs, vanilla if you like, then sprinkle grated nutmeg ontop before cooking.

Joe, is yours a Power XL Cooker? That’s what I have. The normal settings on a Power XL is 7.2 lbs. of pressure which equates to the higher end of the low setting on Instant Pot. The high setting on the PowerXL is the canning button, which cooks at 12 lbs. of pressure. Indigo said that I should cut the cooking time down by 1 minute. I’m excited to try it, too!

No power setting for low will have to do some research maybe someone has figured it out, your reply has given me some things to look at that I hadn't thought of. let us know how it turn out? I never get it to work right on the stove.

@@JoeHusosky , I did a little research on your brand and found out that it cooks at 10.1 lbs. psi. It’s a little higher than mine, but I see many people commented that this recipe works on high. I would try using a Pyrex or other heat safe glass bowl and lower the cooking time just a bit, maybe 1 or 2 minutes. I bet it will work. Give it a try! What’s to lose but a few eggs, right? I will report back when I try it. 👍🏼

I use 4 large eggs, 200 g egg whites, 1 cup of water, salt for dun dan ( traditional steamed Chinese dish) steamed on stove 18 min. I use the egg whites to reduce fat and increase lean protein.
