Great American manufacturing story. I had Aluminess build and install a roof rack, ladder, and surf pole for my van. Pleasure to work with Chris and the entire team. Great film Jarrod giving a behind the scenes view! Thank you
Great peak at a company I already had a great respect for. The quality is above top notch. Great to know they are a family run American company producing truely superior products!
Wow surprised they are still in business! Aluminess has grown so much since I quit in 2007! Glad to see them on you tube! Pretty cool new innovative add-ons! Welds don't look as good as mine did tho lol!
Awesome to see they made a bumper for 2019 so fast. Was worried when I finally get mine (been waiting 9 months now for a 144 4x4) I'd have to wait even longer to fit it out.
@@captnredbeard7073 get on as many dealer lists as possible. Call to some big dealers of you're willing to fly and pick up somewhere you don't live. Call dealers as much as possible and just keep asking. More often then not people will put in a order for a van then it shows up on the lot and decide not to take it. At that point the dealer has to sell that van quick and they go fast! The 2019 4x4's are just now rolling out but the upfitting companies has first take on them then will be offered to regular folk.
Beautiful van, they banned bumpers like that in the UK about 25 years ago, they were known as bull bars, they are actually quite dangerous in a collision as they do not absorb the impact which in turn transfer to the internal organs which can be deadly even at low speeds, manufacturers by law have to design to a saftey standard of crumple zone, I'm suprised that the US never followed suit. Looks amazing though
The UK and the north America are quite different, people purchase grill guards/bull bars because if they hit a moose or deer out west where help is some times 100 miles away you don't want to be stranded
@@teddekkerfan92 Absolutely correct. I have a moose bumper on my pickup specifically because my cottage in northwestern Ontario is used year-round and is 45km from the nearest cell tower signal. I am literally in the middle of nowhere. If I hit a moose or deer on the trail and it punctures or otherwise damages my radiator, I'm walking out of the bush, and it might be -45C out. At least I can drive out with a bent frame.
A normal installment with all this would take roughly 4 hours from a professional upfitter or from Aluminess. Because this was the first 2019 Sprinter they've done plus me doing the video it took them a little over 6 hours. I might of cost them some labor hours that day 😂 sorry!
Did you say a bad word in this video because every time I try to watch it I just getting a spinning wheel. I can go to other videos no problem, come back to yours and again it just spins and won't load. Strange.
@@JarrodTocci I just tried agan and it is again just spinning. i've been on youtube for over two hours researching bumper option for my sprinter and this is only video that won't load. I don't get it. Since you can see it load then all's good but I REALLY want to see what you have to say on the Aluminess video!! My loss I guess. BTW, big fan!
Ok. So. I took a screenshot of the spinning wheel to try to attach in a post (if thats even possible) and as soon as I hit save the video started to play. I still don't think it's on my end since I have been watching youtube videos for hours now and yours was the only one that has the spinning wheel. Having said that, all is good and I'll now watch the video!!!
- on that van they were building the roof rack is nice, but that is going to be in the way of solar, so pass. - Front bumper is a damage multiplier. Cause those roll bars on the bumper just mean that if you make contact in 1 corner, you are going to take damage in all the front end, hence "damage multiplier" - Rear bumper is ok, nice extra storage. But I am worried that weight would rip them off the bumper, it is only aluminum after all. - those rock guards on the side stick out WAY to far. - it is a nice Ladder, that they charge $1000 for.
I hear you. The roof rack is designed to have the panels mounted on L brackets above them covering only part of the roof rack. They explain that when in the show room. The bumpers come in a few different styles so you can actually pick what works best for you. This one is designed to protect the front grill and lights in the case you hit a large animals which happens more often then you think unfortunately and they have pictures to show to customers of others that have hit elk, deer, or even bears. I don't work for them, but I've compared them to others I've seen and sure they are expensive but in the end if you hit something you won't regret getting these bumpers. Of course this is all my own opinion and others are open to their own opinions as well. Hope to see you on the live tomorrow! Always like hearing from you.

What a cool company. I love their family atmosphere and how much they all care about what they make/do!

I have been looking for a 2019 144 4x4 but have not found one. Any tips would help?

Are Sprinters watertight from the factory? Transits leak at the trim panel clips.
I want to say yes but honestly I'm not sure on that. It would make sense if they we're water tight but who knows. I'd have to call a dealer and ask
I have a 19. Its water tight. Incredible machine.
I thought that was pur newvsn for s minute. Did you sell the PM yet?
It's sold just setting up delivery for next month
Nice vid ... thanks!
Hey Jarrod Tocci!!! I'm not a Sprinter fan. At least they sell stuff for other vehicles also. Thank you for sharing. 😀 😎

A permanent external ladder...now ANYONE can easily climb up top at any time
And then what? You got gold up there you're hiding?
Are you getting up out of your bed to bring them back down in the middle of the night?
17 , and 18 s sprinters better looking less plastic
Another hipster buying a sprinter. "Dude I'm a photographer"
