I think I am not alone in saying this is absolutely amazing. I already think you are one of the best artists on RUclips, and now you are sharing tips with all of us who wish we were anywhere near as good at art. And yes, this video was more than just interesting, I finally learned what I was doing wrong with my brushes trying to paint fur!!! Thank you so much! As far as other tutorials go, I feel that the way you use light and composition to set the mood of a drawing is awesome, and of course the holy grail for me would be the way you do backgrounds. The first time I saw one of your videos my jaw dropped and hit the floor when I saw you splash a few brush strokes onto the screen and suddenly I was looking at a beautiful hot spring. Backgrounds have always been something I struggle with, and your videos inspire me to keep trying. But whatever you want to do, keep doing it, because its always awesome!
You are such an inspiration for me. Recently, I've been struggling with finding art I love, and re-visiting your channel sparked that passion again. Your art is everything I want to achieve and more, and I admire your skill so much!! I'm going to try to follow this tutorial and create art inspired by yours (but with my own touch, of course! Originality is important.) Thank you for being awesome! :D
I have the same but if you just look up medibang paint cloud you’ll find how to download the brushes on the computer, Android and IOS. Long version short, where the brushes are in the app, above the brushes you’ll se a ‘+’. Click on that and then on ‘add brushes’. You’ll find all the brushes in there. And to change the setting of the brush just go to brush settings and scroll down, you’ll find load colors and ease of mixing on the bottom
Please do one on plants and backgrounds! This was really helpful, and I'm sure others would love to see your plant process. I personally struggle with backgrounds, but I do want to improve!
Thank you very very much for this great tutorial! Definitely helped a lot of people, we are so lucky to find an inspiring artist like you :) ( You even encouraged me to try Medibang :3 ) I can't wait for more tutorials and speedpaints :D
I enjoy the difference between the concept art and the art made in the video! While purple IS my favorite color, it's nice to see different colors based on lighting, such as the magentas and pinks on the lighter side of the beast. There's also something oddly satisfying to see the difference between the concept and the end result for me XD Also, love the effect of the light! Since I love magic and fantasy and such, it makes me think that it was an acual picture taken in a magic demension of some sort. First video I watched and you've already earned a subscribe from me, congrats!
This was incredibly helpful. When you notice real progress on just 3 pieces really makes one smile. Working on details then zooming out and getting pleasantly surprised over how well it actually looks. Thank you for doing what you do, it's inspiring!
you are literally the BEST digital artist I have EVER SEEN. I wanted you to know that you are a major inspiration for me to create digital art. I am still learning from every one of your videos. thank you so much!
Thank you for posting, I've recently got my first tablet and am learning digital art. Such a steep learning curve, and I appreciate seeing your brush settings! I didn't previously understand what the color mixing and load color did, and fiddling with them has made a huge difference! Going to have to test out all the other brush settings now.
Since the first video I saw from you (grayscale to color tutorial) I was hooked to your brush strokes and how you painted the fur and feathers. Well, I'll join the 93.579 other people trying to replicate your technique.
I was thinking of drawing a red panda and wanted to know how to paint fur. This video was AMAZING. I love the way you use colour and lighting and merge them so well. I really enjoyed this
Its so crazy to see how much work and effort you put into your drawings. Looking at the finished product doesn't usually show all the hours of work that you've put into it. Your art is absolutely stunning and it never fails to amaze me. This is a great tutorial and I definitely will use it in the future. 💙
YES YOU FINALLY MADE A TUTORIAL ON FUR AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA IM SCREAMINFJHVDSFBGG TYSM !! ;;; Edit: woweee this comment got more likes then all my videos in total lmao
I have an iPad with the MediBang paint app, and I think I could do this too, only using different layers >:3 and brushes like water color ;-; , also I really like the artworks you posted on MediBang! Please post so more soon and keep up the great work!!
this is SO amazing!! thank you!! I would absolutely love to see more tutorials like this one. for your next one, I think you should do either shading or backgrounds, since those are very important things that a lot of people (like myself) struggle with :D
Ahhhh thank you so much for this tutorial! Im was getting frustrated with not knowing how to do this and watching others figure it out, and ive been researching videos everywhere and i think yours is the best!
thank you so much for this honestly, im not following the steps exactly and going off the rails quite alot to fit my own workflow, but this helped me establish a solid base to build upon
Oof this was a long time ago-- this actually helped me a lot. Even though I use Fire Alpaca I kinda just used whatever brush looked legit.. A.K.A the Watercolor brush and an edited version of the pencil brush. But this helped me improve a lot more with realistic styles. ^^
Only being restricted to the app version of Medibang can be the worst....it's far more difficult to import custom brushes, and all around, the Medibang app just doesn't look as good as the original version. However. This tutorial is flawless, and it took me a few months just to get GOOD at this technique. But it is so fun to do. Thank you Clockbird
bro this is about painting fur in medibang but you somehow managed to teach me exactly what i needed to know about painting in general (in sai) how are you perfect
Hey! Great job on the colors! I feel that they really went well together, and really brought the piece to what you were going for. It all truly looks stunning!
thank you for making me not die while doing my homework and at the same time improving my art, you are an amazing artist and you should have 10 times as many subs, i subbed and liked, tysm
i saw your art on medibang i was like “wow, is this art stolen? or did someone really do this amazing art on medibang!!” your art is so beautiful and whimsical.
I have been trying this for 14 hours... I have done it 3 times erasing it and repainting it because I always get it wrong. I love how I do this and don’t just go oh that’s good enough. I will keep doing this until it’s perfect. Taken a few days to get the right colour sketch and shapes. God all this and you have don’t this amazingness in 4 hours...
I absolutely adore your artwork! It is just so detailed and has very nice colors; I love your painting style. ❤️ I think you should do a tutorial on basics in Medibang, how you color and shade your artworks, and maybe how to pick good colors? I love your videos and you definitely deserve a lot more subscribers! 😊 Have a wonderful da and keep up the good work~
What an absolutely amazing tutorial and a gorgeous artwork! I love your painting vídeos, they are such an inspiration to me... It would be awesome if you could make a tutorial of how you pick your color pallets, sure they're stunning
Gorgeous work, as always! And this tutorial was amazing and an invaluable resource. For a future tutorial, maybe How you make your glowing/light effects look so good?
Just found out medibang can be used on ipad pro! (I have cps ex on my computer but prefer the tablet) wasnt really feeling procreate brushes or the settings it lacked compared to a more advanced program, so I'm stoked
Hey, late commenter here, I know but this was AMAZINGLY helpful and satisfying for me to watch. I've been trying to paint fur for a while but it never comes out quite right. I never really thought of the technique you use! :0 I'm sure this will help! I'll be sure to subscribe~ Small suggestion here, have you done a tutorial on backgrounds and foliage yet? I have trouble with that and was in awe of how you did it here. Anyways, thank you again!!

this is stunning! This tutorial is super helpful and it feels like i've unlocked a secret key to something great! One question though, what brush do you use for your linearts?
omg, I love your art and your videos, and this tutorial was so easy to understand!!! It would be awesome to have a flower tutorial as well, even tho I think it´s the same concept as the fur... lmao, anyways your videos sooth me when I´m having anxiety, so thanks a lot for sharing them!!!
This was really helpful but I typically struggle with drawing a basic sketch digitally I was wondering if some time you could make a video about basic sketching and some tips for while doing it
gosh I think this will be very helpful! I did customise my fur brush after your tutorial and it turned out half bad. Have to tweak it a little bit at it´s do not mix the colour like I want it
This was sooo AWESOME!!! 8D Thank you for sharing your technique!!! Maybe a next tutorial is how you do your gorgeous mystic waters and your flowers 8D? I would love to know how you make them look so beautiful and practically real 83!!!
You really need to make more of these I am thinking of trying to learn how I can use photoshop and media bang paint pro and the regular version I think you should really make more of these because your an expert at this I think to my advice you should make more of these because it could teach the people and me to learn more about these things and show us exactly how this and that could or can be done I have seen your art and I love how you draw the dragons with the lighting, the backgrounds, textures, detail, and size changes and others I hope you make more of these I am seeing in my head that people will get very good at this stuff because of your skill and the things you've learned over the years I think you should do these when you have the time because I can tell this took some of your time. So just think about it, Ya?
How I wish this was a Gimp Tutorial so I could follow the tools used to recreate the effects..hopefully I can figure out the techniques to apply to my work. Thanks though your tips I think will help me finish my project.
so like... i came here because of a free art request someone gave me, then i was really struggling with the hair. im awful with hair. so i googled up how to draw hair styles on medibang and got little to nothing about it. then... i got here, and boy if i really want to be good... it won't be easy. the beginning was overwhelming >.< congrats with your art skills, though

Thank you so much for putting the time into making a video, a lot of people appreciate it ^_^

YOU SAVED MY LIFE. I'm starting to draw digitally so I had NO idea how to do this, and, for the first time, the result ended up looking pretty nice!
Since the first video I saw from you (grayscale to color tutorial) I was hooked to your brush strokes and how you painted the fur and feathers. Well, I'll join the 93.579 other people trying to replicate your technique.
