I saw them do this song in 2007, but in the States not Germany. Same guitarist and same SG guitar, too! I saw EW and the White Trash w/Rick Derringer on guitar some years earlier. LOUDEST band I've ever heard! It was a cross between an amazing concert and standing behind an F-18 for two hours. I didn't know if I had been entertained or assaulted that night. 😉
I saw The Eagles, Edgar Winter and Yes in concert at Dillon Stadium in Hartford, mid 70's. Paid $5.50 for a ticket. One of the best shows I ever saw. Edgar Winter rocked the house!
Watch this all the way through!!! Hot damn. The guitar work is perfect. Fabulous version of a fabulous song. The Winter brothers are among the best of the best. Anything they do is the best.
last time I saw Edgar ...he opened for Jethro Tull in August 2003..Big Flats NY......the musical genius of Tull is always present..even after Ian's voice got weak...but Edgar blew me away.....I hadn't seen him live in 15 years....and I got to speak to him after his set...he was signing autographs promoting the "Winter Blues" CD....AMAZING as he ever was
Awesome Edgar, was with you in the early days you and your Brother , Always thought you were both awesome, so sorry for your loss, but I am sure he is proud that you keep on keeping on
Jesus Christ, the Winter brothers should be considered national treasures in the United States. Just the greatest duo of brother next to the Vaughan brothers.
I remember seeing Edgar Winter at a casino called Park in South Shore at Lake Tahoe many miles away from a place I worked as a waiter a year later concerts came up with a couple of customers one night and they said that people that he had met from all over the country were still talking about this particular concert and I can see why- because it was mind-blowingly good., it also had Leon Russell in the lineup.
Johnny and Edgar winter sure has the stuff for the blues i love Tobacco road anyway they do it! Song reminds me of my ol' grannie's life, road, shack is spot on! 🎶
I just saw him last night. It was a great night, Savoy Brown, Rick Derringer, Edgar Winter, and then Johnny. A fucking great show, if you want I can send some great pics, I was about 10 feet away.
This is EPIC!!!! Both Edgar & Johnny Winter are playing Blues Fest in Kitchener next month. I was excited before, but after watching this, I'm absolutely ECSTATIC!
It's amazing how this song has evolved over time (and how it didn't). People don't know that Edgar is almost blind. He such a great all around muscian., and one of the great scat singers of all time.
WOW greatesrt song ever made even better a simple song made so much much much more im amazed incredible this is why youtube is amazing i never could have a seen this with out it wow
I saw Edgar on March 8th, 1984 (my 24th b-day) in a small bar in Nordeast Minneapolis called The Union. He was so wasted that when the session was over it took two roadies to lead him outta the bar. I fired up a number when he did "Tobacco Road"... Good times back in the day.
Woooowwww! Awesomeeee, Edgar Winter, this song is so bluesy, and he say "to my guitar hero, my brother Johnny Winter", he reveals the love and the devotion for his bro. Johnny Winter Rest in Peace. Another blues singer go to heaven
Is there anything better than an SG and a stack of Marshalls and a guitar player who can play backing up one of the best players this country has ever seen. Actually great band! Long live Edgar Winter!
Edgar should be a legend to all......bro Johnny too......one of the greatest american musicians of any style, any era..........a legend to me anyway he will remain
The best band I ever saw was up in some back st. bar in idaho Falls, Id. One at a time , in the middle of a song, they set down their instruments till it was all vocals!! It didn`t even sound like they had set them down! it was a sight to see, I wish I could remember the name of that band!
@ThePowerWithinMe I got to "hear" Edgar at the festival Saturday but couldn't get anywhere close to seeing him since the tent had a spillover crowd. I did get a great view of Johnny that day though as he played in another tent.
Olha Tipppo oque Ele faz com esta Voz Rouba a Cenaa e além de tudo é KeepRocking Multi Instrumentista KeepBluesing, tendo pra acompanha-lo um Guitarrista de Peso,.!?!?!!!!!
Edgar is one of the few white guys who really has the blues in him, and so does his brother Johnny. One other guy from Texas who had em too, Stevie Ray Vaughn!!!
Notice at 4:51 he turns the mic to find the hot spot. He's not a rookie. ; ) Not to mention he has perfect pitch as he sings the parts before the guitarist plays them. Yep.
I see Edgar Winter do this live Back in 1972 at the Crystal Palace Bowl London UK, what a day, what a time to have lived through.
Goosebumps on this Wow
No back up dancers, no autotune, no lasers ... just freakin awesome music!
I saw this guy and his group (with Rick Derrenger) and he is a mega talent. And today people listen to Justin Beiber....the world has gone to hell

I saw The Eagles, Edgar Winter and Yes in concert at Dillon Stadium in Hartford, mid 70's. Paid $5.50 for a ticket. One of the best shows I ever saw. Edgar Winter rocked the house!
@broomsterm In the mid 80's I saw Johnny and Edgar Winter in a small club in New Britain, Ct. for $10.00.
The Sting.
With Carmine Appice on drums. The lighted drum sticks on "Frankenstein" were mind blowing!
How was YES?
@@MrBikedrummer This concert was when "Close to the Edge" just came out. Yes was very good, but it was Edgar Winter who had everyone rockin'!
Edgar is still a great show. Been listening to him for 40 years!!!
Watch this all the way through!!! Hot damn. The guitar work is perfect.
Fabulous version of a fabulous song. The Winter brothers are among the best of the best. Anything they do is the best.

When musicians like this are gone, there will be few if any even close to replacing them.
Wow this brings back memory's. I remember the first time I heard Edger play blew my mind. Him and his bother Johnny are both amazing musicians.
Jesus Christ, the Winter brothers should be considered national treasures in the United States. Just the greatest duo of brother next to the Vaughan brothers.
Edgar Winter what a superstar of music one of the greatest of all time.

Roadwork was probably the second greatest live album in the 70's pretty much a tie with The Allman Brothers Band Live at the Filmore East
@chvaky well in case if you didn't know, Blues really was one of the sonuds that kicked off metal along with off course rock.
Muito bom, Show!
Doug Rappoport is the current EWG guitar player.
His new solo album "BIONIC" is killer!!!
Notice at 4:51 he turns the mic to find the hot spot. He's not a rookie. ; ) Not to mention he has perfect pitch as he sings the parts before the guitarist plays them. Yep.
